Is it possible to change a Pokémon’s tera-type?

When it comes to the competitive scene, the implementation of the terastal types changes a lot when building teams. I’ve mentally come up with some ideas, but trying to farm for a specific tera-type for a specific Pokémon would take a while.

Is it possible to change the Pokémon’s tera-type after it’s been caught?

Yes, you can change the tera type using Tera Shards. These are dropped by Pokemon defeated in Tera Raids, or occasionally found on the ground. You need to bring 50 of them to a https://dotesports.com/pokemon/news/what-are-tera-shards-and-what-do-they-do-in-pokemon-scarlet-and-violet to change a Pokemon's Tera Type.

Each Pokemon have specific sets of moves that it may come with. A Reddit user curated a handy guide with almost all known move sets for each Pokemon. Moves cannot otherwise be taught. Some Pokemon do have moves of a different type. For example, Nidorina, a Poison-type Pokemon, can come with Dig, a Ground-type move. Charizard, a Fire/Flying-type Pokemon only has one move set: Wing Attack (Flying) and Fire Blast (Fire). It is worth noting that these moves will not benefit from STAB, a bonus that provides 25% increased damage for moves that share the same type as the Pokemon using them.

Using certain Sandwich recipes, players can activate something called Sparkling Power, a boost that will passively increase Shiny odds, with the maximum reached at level 3. The Shiny Charm makes a return in Scarlet and Violet. The final method for encountering wild Shinies with individually boosted odds is Mass Outbreaks, which work similarly to how they did in Legends: Arceus. Clearing Pokémon during a Mass Outbreak is how you increase Shiny odds, with modifiers kicking in after you clear 30 Pokémon and 60 Pokémon. The best solution would be: don't use an email with recieve restrictions! If your school email cannot recieve outside email, you're just going to have to set up your account using another email account. If you're looking to "activate" that means you've not got an account yet, so there's nothing to actually change - just start afresh.

When you Terastalize, the Pokémon will receive a 2x STAB bonus if it is of the same type while also keeping the standard STAB bonus of the other type While Terastallized, Pokémon receive STAB on moves matching their Tera Type, in addition to moves matching their original types. Ok I recovered my account! Here's what I did *Android devices: From your device's Home screen, visit Settings > Touch Apps or Application Manager > Pokémon GO, and touch Force Stop. Visit Storage and touch Clear Cache. *iOS devices: From your device’s Home screen, visit Settings > Privacy > Location Services and toggle Pokémon GO off then back on. *Remove and then reinstall the Pokémon GO app. *Reboot your device. I have an iPhone so I followed the directions for iOS device. To reboot aka restart your phone go to settings > general < restart. This won't delete anything from your phone don't worry! I hope this helps!!!

So I found out for the first part. I found an easy testing method. Although my raw DPS was too random to test anything, I could use a little trick. If you don't know, hydra have a fixed attack speed and damage. Each of the head make the same damage and it takes everything into account (even your attack speed while hydra's AS remains the same) The damage of the heads is calculated when cast. That means hydra damage is fixed and very reliable. The test method is as follow. I only equipped the weapon (which does +25% bonus damage against beasts). So I found myself with a really low DPS and fixed damage (when it doesn't crit, but even crit damage are fixed). Then you need to run and/or have a friend to tank things. I tested the damage on different type of mobs. Those with which I don't have any bonus and beasts mobs. I did 36 599 damage when no bonus and 45 749 to beasts, which is exactly +25% damage. I then tried hitting different type of elite beast-like mobs (elite with the same model than beasts, but without the beast affix). On unique, yellow and blue I did 45 749 damage, which means the +25% bonus applied on them. That also means elite keeps the type their model belongs to, they just doesn't show it in the affix. So, yeah, bonus damage against {Mob type} apply to elite mobs of the same type. As a side note, this also means "Pig Sticker" (+X% dmg against beats/human) and Tyrael (+X% damage against demons) can be more powerful than anything else because they provide a big bonus you don't find anywhere else, and which works against elite. I need to find item who does bonus damage against undead and reaper now. Edit: Now, the secondary question: How does "Bonus damage against Beasts" interact with "Bonus Damage against elite"? Additively or multiplicatively? Just to explain, I'm wondering about that second question because we can think: - dmg vs Beats and dmg vs elites are two distinct bonus and thus should be multiplicative. OR - dmg vs Beats and dmg vs elites are both dmg vs {mob type}, they are the same bonus and so are additively. So, I tested with the same method using "Pig Sticker" (+25% against beasts) and "Unity ring" (+4% against elites). The results are as follow: - Undead: 72 207 dmg - Beast: 90 259 dmg - Elite Beast: 93 870 dmg Basically, that means I did +25% damage against beast compared to undead. +4% damage to elite beast compared to beast. and +30% damage to elite beast compared to undead. So yes: "Bonus damage against {mob type}" and "Bonus Damage against elite" are considered two different type of bonus for the game. And so they stack multiplicatively. (1.25 * 1.04 = 1.30)

No. Trading the same Pokemon does not affect the chance. However, if one of the Pokemon was obtained more than a year ago, then the chance of a Lucky Pokemon increases as per this previous answer.

Since networking is disabled on emulators, it is not possible. Desmume website states that wifi is not emulated and not supported. I assume the case is the same with the other emulator. Another source (thanks @Robotnik)

It does not seem so. Bulbapedia states this: The moves obtained by a Pokémon when hatching are as follows: By default, the baby Pokémon will start with any moves that it learns at level 1. (In Generation II and Generation III, they knew all moves that are level 5 and below in their learnset.) If both parents know a move that the baby can learn via leveling up, the Pokémon will inherit that move. Prior to Generation VI, if the father knows any TM or HM moves (and in Crystal, Move Tutor moves) that the baby is also compatible with, it will inherit the move. If a genderless Pokémon breeds with Ditto, the resultant baby will inherit any compatible TM or HM moves that the genderless non-Ditto Pokémon parent knows. If the father or (starting in Generation VI) the mother knows any specific Egg moves that the baby can learn, the baby will inherit the move. If the parents both know different Egg moves, the mother's Egg moves are passed on first, then followed by the father's. From Pokémon Emerald onward, for a baby Pichu, if either parent is holding a Light Ball, the Pichu will know Volt Tackle. Volt Tackle cannot be passed down as a normal Egg move. Moves from events won't fulfill any of these criteria because they won't normally be available to be learnt on that Pokémon, so they cannot be passed on via breeding. Not ultimately. They will immediately gets same stats when you hyper-trained a Pokemon. Leveled stats only gets affected by https://www.serebii.net/games/evs.shtml , which can be increased by battling wild Pokemons / using Vitamins and Feathers, and decreased by using certain Berries (I suppose the Vitamins / Feathers / Berries works same as Sword / Shield, but I'm not completely sure). Information for SV are found at https://www.serebii.net/scarletviolet/effortvalues.shtml . However, quote from https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Hyper_Training (emphasis mine): Rather than actually changing a Pokémon's IVs, Hyper Training sets a modifier for the game to treat that stat as if it had an IV of 31. As a result, it affects neither the type of Hidden Power the Pokémon has nor the IVs it can pass down when breeding. Since (as of now) SV doesn't have Hidden Power so you don't need to worry about it, though if you want to breed 6IV by using hyper-trained Pokemons (which I personally think there's no reason to do so), they won't get transferred by breeding.

I found https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/can-your-friends-see-the-same-shiny-pokemon-in-co-op-in-pokemon-scarlet-and-violet/ about shiny Pokemon, but it works for your question, too: The bad news is the shiny Pokemon that you and your friends will encounter will be the same across each screen. So, if you all find it simultaneously, only one of you can meet and catch the Pokemon. There’s no way to share the Pokemon or have multiple spawns, so everyone comes away with a shiny Pokemon. It seems that only one trainer can battle and catch that specific wild Pokemon.

What you are describing is the Critical Capture mechanic that was added in Generation V (Black and White). It is a special type of capture mechanic that is much more likely to catch a Pokemon. There is a chance that the Pokemon can escape from the ball however I personally have never seen a Critical Capture fail. The chance of it occuring is as follows: Species Caught In Pokedex Multiplier >600 2.5 451 - 600 2 301 - 450 1.5 151 - 300 1 31 - 150 0.5 < 31 0 (Please note, this equation is for Generation VIII. I cannot find the equation for Generation IX but it will be similar) First, get the modified catch rate (result of equation above) of the pokemon you are catching and multiply it by the multiplier from the table above based on how many Pokemon you have caught in your Pokedex If you own the Catching Charm, multiply the value by 2 Divide the result by 6 and round down to the nearest integer A random number between 0 and 255 is generated. If this random number is less than the value calculated, a critical capture occurs So, to answer your original question. You can make critical captures more likely by filling up your pokedex and obtaining the Catching Charm. Do note, I have only found one site that claims the Catching Charm is in Scarlet and Violet so at this stage, it appears as if it is not a part of the game. In Gen IX, it seems Pokemon can re-learn any move they ever knew, even if it's from a TM or an event. As demonstrated in the screenshot (Move was forgotten beforehand.)

You can try DxWnd to force the game to run in non-fullscreen. I tried this tool for a while. It ran Sid Meier's Golf in non-fullscreen. The only thing I can't figure out yet is how to get the windowed mode buttons on it. The nice thing about this tool is that you can specify the x and y coords for the window (left bottom in settings). I haven't succeeded in getting the window to drag yet though. Perhaps the virtualization method described above is the best idea. Less fuss and you have control over the window unlike that DxWnd tool.

No, the only way to change the CP of a Pokémon is either by evolving it or Powering it up. Changing the moveset just means the Pokemon gets new moves to use in battle.
