Do Overpower level 8 characters get Overpower level 8 weapons from side missions?

I just reached level 72 in Borderlands 2 playing UVHM. I have not done the side quests that give red text and other great guns until now so that I could get max level weapons. However, I was wondering: Should I finish Overpower level 8 as well before doing them or not?

Do OP8 characters get OP8 guns from side missions or do they still give level 72 guns only?

Yes, the rewards will be OP8 guns/shields/grenade mods if you've accepted quests at OP8.

It's a secret level filled with mooing cows on par with end-game enemy difficulty. They drop unique, set, and magic items, and their King drops a rare item. It's more of a fun Easter egg than something to take advantage of. Get Wirt's Leg on Wirt's corpse in the north while rescuing Cain from Tristam. Finish the game, and return to Act 1 on the same difficulty. In the Rogue Encampment, combine Wirt's Leg and a Town Portal Tome in the Horadric Cube. Enter the red portal to Moo Moo Farm. If you want to return on the same difficulty in the future, don't kill the Cow King. Video:

Those blue highlights do not depend on character level. They come from a Class Mod you equip. Before bonus points from class mods take effect on any particular skill in your character's skilltree, you need to invest a point in said skill. The "training" the game refers to is investing AT LEAST one point into said skill. Otherwise, points from class mods will not apply to that skill.

Two-year-old question at this point, but still... some quick bits because I was looking up something similar myself. 1) The slots are basically there to carry stuff to the smiths to sell if you're on easier difficulties. 2) As above, early on when your facesmashing power is limited (and your ability to consume cat potions every time you turn a corner is limited because of ingredients/knowledge/toxicityproblems/orens), torches are great against fireweak enemies and for visibility. 3) Tactically, the only thing the slots are good for is a small, one-handed axe with as much "shield dislodge" as you can get. It becomes rather important in chapter III and beyond when every smelly dwarf and his mother is carrying a shield with a 60-70% chance to block your blows. When your attacks get blocked, not only do you not do damage (or it's reduced to nearly nothing) but the recoil interrupts not just your chain but the rest of the attack as well. Repeatedly trying to hit that one thing with a shield and failing 6-7 times while 6-7 other things are beating on the back of your head will get you killed FAST on hard. Lot worse when 4 of the other 6-7 things have shields as well... multiple shields makes group style impossible to use because every swing will get blocked by something, and interrupt you. Soooo... what? "Dislodge shield" makes the target permanently drop their shield. Whip out your little axe and go lumberjack on some shields, toss an Aard or two in there to keep the group away while you do it. Once enough of them are shield-less, Group Steel Blender to your heart's content, win. That's what short weapons are for, torches early and dislodging shields later. Ignore all the other short/large weapons (unless you get really bored in Chapter III-V and feel like swatting drowners with a twohanded axe for giggles). Eventually, you can use the Strength tree's Reaper ability (as a really powerful, armor-penetrating shield dislodger with a normal steel sword) which has a 90% dislodge... then they're all pointless and the slots are just for carrying vendor trash.

The Save mechanics in Borderlands 2 - save stations that record progress (and provide you a respawn point on death) combined with fast travel points that double as starting locations when you load into the game - are a result of having a game that is both a single player game and a multiplayer game. It's a compromise; you lose a little bit from the single player side (the traditional "save and load exactly where I left off") so that multiplayer isn't super weird. The mechanics at work here are not new mechanics, though perhaps you have not experienced them before. Diablo 2 most famously did it, as does Diablo 3. My advice would be: Where possible try to tackle one quest at a time and don't start anything new if you think you won't have time to finish. Run past monsters/through areas that hold no interest to you. Borderlands 2 is a game that suggests perhaps you should stop to see every sight and do every little thing. But you don't need to do this. I believe there are a number of quests you could accomplish in 15 minutes, but some of them would require you to skip everything of interest on the way there and back (as it were). Some set up such that you can turn around and start doing them and then turn them in rapidly. But some of them are involved, and it's ideal if you can carve out longer play-blocks to deal with them. This is especially true of story quests, so be aware.

The max level depends on the number of Awesomenauts available. Currently, the max level is 138, with the patch 2.8, then 144 with the patch 2.9. If a new Awesomenauts is released in a future patch/version, the level will increase by 7 or 8, to unlock new upgrades for this Awesomenauts (plus some empty levels, sometimes). By accessing to the max level, you can unlock a level of prestige. With release of Awesomenauts 3.5, the level requirement was 192.

Yes. For PS3 and Xbox: Join the game as your higher level character, and open the menu. This should allow your second controller to join through split-screen. (If using the same profile, it will treat your second character as a guest and will not share badass ranks or golden keys) For PC: (Requires two monitors, the program "sandboxie" and two controllers) Steps can be found here (http://forums.gearboxsoftware.com/showthread.php?t=151660) - TLDR: Sandboxie is a program that will allow you to set splitscreen for BL2 if steam is set to offline

I have found no evidence of an area named "Bandit Freighter" in Southern Shelf. I started a new character just to be sure, and walked all over the Southern Shelf map. There were 4 and only 4 named areas: Liar's Burg, Gateway Harbor, Wreck of the Ice Sickle, and The Soaring Dragon. After discovering those areas and walking over the rest of the map, my map had no dark spots and no other areas were discovered. Additionally, I checked my new character's WorldDiscoveryData with Gibbed. Entries there correspond to specific map dark spots. The new character's data for Southern Shelf matches that of the character I originally earned the "World Traveler" achievement for discovering all named locations in the game. This indicates that I did not miss any named locations with the new character. It is my determination that the above map is incorrect.

Ok, as I've now managed to get to level 9 I think I can advice on the guards. Make sure to sneak around a corner or behind a door and wait for them to come to you. Use a shotgun or similar weapon that does a lot of damage upfront. The AGL kills them in one grenade but they can still fire when tagged with a grenade. Profit As for the scientists (which are basically upgraded guards) the same tactics apply apart from the fact that they take more punishment and deal more damage. Still one AGL grenade kills them, otherwise good weapons include the teslacoil.

When you finish the main game for the first time, the next time you load that same character, you will be in True Vault Hunter mode, also called "Playthrough 2". In that mode, you will be starting the whole game from scratch, with tougher enemies, and more levels to gain. If you want to go back to Normal Mode, and continue the playthrough you were on, go to the main menu, hit Select Character, and choose the same character again; a prompt will ask which mode you wish to play.

When starting a game, the main menu has an option called, "Network Options". Setting this to "Online Invite Only", or Offline only will ensure that you can play by yourself in peace. Network Options is also available in your menu after starting, so you can change this on the fly as needed.

The Blockade blocks more damage, when throwing Chain Lightning at my feet. I recorded some values (and don't remember other conditions, like level): Antagonist (Hyperion) 1827 → 1005 (822) Blockade (Hyperion) 1403 → 710 (693) Blockade (max cap.) 2420 → 1727 (693) Blockade (1563 listed) 1799 → 1105 (694) Blockade (1930 listed) 2166 → 1473 (693) The Blockade seems to block the same amount of damage across different parts. The Orphan Maker dealt the same amount of damage between both shields, so I don't think the Orphan Maker is suitable for testing.

Since the accepted answer only provides some hints. Here I would like to give a more detailed explanation. Get "n" behind the blue door using "#" Go to a "You" on the right and initiate a "#" Now, move to the left text "rue". You will see that "Yue"s on the left are also highlighted. Then type "n" to repeat the search and you will reach the target "You".

Panna city med was from the Christmas event, so I don't think they'll make that available again. From what I can tell, if you see a planet (Kashyyyk, endor, etc...) and you click on it, you'll get a graphic showing what you might be able to get. For instance, Kashyyyk shows two characters and a level. However, you have to purposefully search on that particular planet/area to possibly get that reward. Rescan (every 12 hours, or on demand for 5 bux) rearranges your scanning options. You get one free scan on the first area once a day or on demand for 5 bux; but I have not seen a planet on that scanning level. Essentially what that means is that you can't get these rewards without using bux. Which sux.
