Stuck transferring God of War Ragnarök saved data from PS4 to PS5

I got a PS5 today and wanted to transfer my saved data of GOWR from PS4 to PS5. The system transfer worked and I can see the game saves on the PS5 game. But when loading in it get stuck on a progress bar.

Do I have to restart it?

I'm going to do that on a harder difficulty anyways but I was wondering if there is a chance to get the progress back to explore more of the game since I rushed through the story to avoid spoilers.

No you cannot transfer your PS4 games to XBox One. They are completely different consoles and games on both consoles are not compatible even if they are digital.

You will have to change which device the Bluetooth module in the controller is paired to each time. Input devices like controllers are typically designed to pair one-to-one with only one other device at a time. It would be very unusual for the controller's USB and Bluetooth systems to work together to control the wireless pairing.

After some more, proper, research and actually trying it again, it seems like it is not possible to log in to the same PSN account on two different PS3's at the same time. It is possible to have a PS4 and PS3 online on the same account simultaneously, however. As for playing online versus each other, I can't say for sure. We haven't actually tried this with games that supported it. There aren't many (if any?) games that support cross-generation (PS3 vs PS4) play. Playing PS3 vs PS3 should not work since the system won't allow you to log in with the same account on both machines at the same time.

So it dawned on me, that I kept being told that the "USB Storage Device Is Unavailable". Usually "Storage Device" refers to an external HD, connected to the rear port on the console. For the hell of it I put the USB key in the rear port... and immediately it worked FINE where it would not work in either of the front ports! To be clear both front ports work fine, they charge controllers, accept USB keys for media, etc. But for whatever reason, in Safe Mode, they won't work for a USB stick (or the rear is somehow overriding). So if this ever happens to you, dear stranger on the interwebz... try the rear port!

Sadly not all games have option to transfer save from PS3 to PS4. But some support it like for example Minecraft. You need checkout at game page if support for transferring save is supported.

I'm surprised that you're unable to get a refund for your PS+ subscription. According to the FAQ, you're entitled to a (reduced) refund when you cancel your PS+ subscription. You can find information on how to request a refund here: https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/get-help/help-library/playstation-plus/playstation-plus/playstation-plus-cancellation-policy-/ Alternatively if you added PS+ via a voucher, you cannot get a refund since the purchase was made outside the PS store. In that case you can set her dad's account as master account and your daughter's account as a linked/sub. http://manuals.playstation.net/document/gb/ps4/settings/activation.html The linked account will have access to the master accounts PS+ free monthly games and online multiplayer, the only feature that doesn't share over is the online cloud storage for save data backup.

Q: If you have users under the same PSN account, I could just create a user under her PSN account instead of logging into my own PSN account if I wanna play a game she has? How do save files work in this scenario? A: User profiles are local and saved data is local only the games matter in terms of PSN accounts Q: Is it a hassle to switch between PSN accounts? A: It is very easy to switch between PSN accounts, just log off and log in with one button and type your new user name and password that you want change to, this can all be done within settings. Of course all of these problems will be solved easily if you just buy a physical copy of the game, which can be played independent of a PSN account.

You can transfer your PS4 save data via USB to PS5. Connect a USB storage device to your PS4 and go to Settings > Application Saved Data Management > Saved Data in System Storage > Copy to USB Storage Device. The engram will decrypt into another exotic item, not the same item. However, you may get an item for the hunter. There is only a very small chance that it will be the same item that you received from decrypting the exotic engram you already bought.

It works now! I’ve found out that the problem was the controller battery. For some reason, I cannot charge the DualShock 4 with my phone charger... I’ve tried with an iPhone (and also with an iPad) charger for a couple of hours and the battery was not charge. Then, I connected it to my Mac USB, and an orange light was lit on the controller. I left it charging overnight, and the next morning I was able to successfully connect it via Bluetooth to my iPhone. So that’s why the controller would quickly disconnect and turn off, because the battery was low.

Make sure you are using the proper tool. Stone requires a pickaxe to mine so if you were using your hands, it will not drop anything.

You just need to create a cloud map, via the create a cloud world feature. You can also create up to three cloud characters.

That plug will does support a microphone. That plug has 3 rings, one for the right ear, left ear, and ground. If that is the USB-C -> 3.5mm, you should get a new one that supports microphones as well. (I'm not sure if these exist, though they probably do) If those are the headphones, they do not have a microphone on them.
