Are there any blocks an enderman can hold but can't place

The enderman, the block stealing/griefing mob in Minecraft, can pick up a variety of blocks. With commands, we can have it hold an even wider variety (all blocks?).

Now my question is: Are there any blocks which: can be held but cannot be placed by an enderman in unmodded Minecraft?

The blocks I'm certain can't be held by Enderman are:
- End Stone
- Obsidian
- Bedrock
- Doors
- Trapdoors
- Stone
- All types of copper

I'm pretty sure there's a wisp spawner beneath the obsidian alters Thuamcraft adds, just under the area of the chest and node above it. If you have access to a Distortion focus, you should be able to pick up the spawner and bring it back to a more appropriate location, though I'm not sure what the rules are for wisps to spawn (never seen one spawn in the day, at least).

Before: After: Although the picture doesn't show it, the character rotation has nothing do do with the bounding box for gathering. Additionally, moving laterally evenly picks up items, so it seems that there's a 3m×3m box surrounding the character within which items will be gathered. Dropping that much wool dispersed took quite a while, I may add more screenshots for vertical tests later.

To answer your question you are allowed to have as many pumps as you want near each other. Why your setup isn't working probably has to do with energy distribution. You can test for yourself with multiple pumps in a chunk by making a super flat world and testing there in creative mode.

The [tag=] you use in the selector isn't the same with the NBT tag {tag:{}}, you need to use [nbt={}] instead of [tag=] for it to work. Here's the fixed version: /kill @e[type=item,nbt={id:"minecraft:oak_planks"}]

As of 1.6, this has been fixed. Fixed ore density varying per quadrant from the center of the world Begin Original Answer Okay, the original link comes from this answer here. This, in turn, links to this reddit article, from which the following image is drawn. In addition, one of the reddit comments explains why this appears to be the case, quote: The bug occurs because of how all ore (and dirt and gravel) are spawned in the game. The game rounds everything towards to 0 (instead of just down), and then adds +0.5 when determining if a block has ore or not. It works for positive numbers (which is the southwest), and doesn't work as well for negative numbers (which is everything in the northeast). They just need to fix the rounding they do.

It seems you turned off particle effects. You can turn them back on in the graphical settings (ESC/main menu -> settings -> video settings). You have to set the particle setting either to "all" or to "reduced" to see heart particles.

Not being able to do that means you're in adventure mode. Remember that now you can use /gamemode a, s, or c to change your gamemode to avoid things like this happening again.

It's done using the Custom Roleplay data pack. The datapack by itself only streamlines adding custom texture variants to pre-existing items through a resource pack; it's still up to you to create said texture pack (containing the variant textures or models) and then spawn the variant items into the world using commands (giving the "base" items custom NBT tags that identify the variant.) The process of creating a texture pack in general goes way beyond the scope of this answer; the modification necessary is adding an overrides predicate "custom_model_data" with numerical ID, which determines which variant the item is; '0' is the 'default look', and anything else will be your special variants. Spawning the item looks like /give @s apple{CustomModelData:1}. The video explains the process in detail:

All of those are your world's save data. There's no single file that contains all the block data — it's spread out amongst multiple files within each dimension folder. Leaving any of those out will lose some parts of your world. (The only exception is the session lock file: it's only used to make sure Minecraft and some other program (like MCEdit) don't both try to change the world at the same time, so it doesn't contain any actual data and you should delete that if you're setting up a new server using this world save.) It's possible to selectively leave out some parts, such as “resetting” your Nether by leaving out the DIM-1 folder, or removing specific chunk files inside a dimension folder to reset that chunk. But if you want everything, you just copy over the whole folder. If the world is corrupted somewhere and you need to leave that part behind, you will have to figure out where in the world that corruption is, then what files contain that part of the world, and then leave that set of files behind in the transfer. Note that many of those .dat files contain the information necessary for mods to remember the non-block parts they add to the world, and figuring out what they contain will require consulting mod documentation or the mod author.

Add the teams: /scoreboard teams add Red /scoreboard teams add Blue And edit the color to Red and Blue: /scoreboard teams option Red color red /scoreboard teams option Blue color blue Now add objectives for them: /scoreboard objectives add DeathsRed deathCount /scoreboard objectives add DeathsBlue deathCount And setdisplay for them: /scoreboard objectives setdisplay sidebar.team.blue DeathsBlue /scoreboard objectives setdisplay sidebar.team.red DeathsRed Now the team with the color will have the deaths shown. If you want both teams to see the deaths, you can do it like this instead: /scoreboard objectives add Deaths deathCount /scoreboard objectives setdisplay sidebar Deaths But keep the /scoreboard teams commands. Reset deaths by doing: /scoreboard players set @a Deaths 0 The deaths will show up after the player have died once or the command above has been executed. From what I have seen, it doesn't seem possible (without mods). The "pick block" function is normally bound to the "mouse3" button, and while it is a configurable control, on the iPad, you're limited to simply tapping on the screen. If at all, the only function I can think of is a "tap" or a "long tap" (i.e. hold your finger on the screen for longer than 1 second). If that is a function, I daresay that it is already bound to something else (e.g. digging).

Haste 255 makes you mine slower, because the number wraps around into the negatives. Haste 127 makes you mine the fastest. There is no item that gives you haste (and the effect.digSpeed attribute modifier apparently doesn't work at all), so you have to use commands to check for holding the item in the main hand. Commands for that are easily found online.

Using certain tags when using the /give command in minecraft you can allow certain blocks/tools to be placed/broken To break blocks: /give @p minecraft:stone_shovel 1 0 {CanDestroy:[minecraft:dirt, minecraft:gravel, minecraft:soulsand]} The gravel, dirt, and soulsand can be replaced with your desired blocks to be able to break. To place: /give @p minecraft:gravel 1 0 {CanPlaceOn:["minecraft:stone","minecraft:stonebrick"]} This will allow the player to only place the block on "stone" and "stone brick" To be more advanced you could run a testfor when the player breaks an item it could execute the command: /give @p minecraft:gravel 1 0 {CanPlaceOn:["minecraft:stone","minecraft:stonebrick"]} Then when they break the block they would get the block, and have it able to be placed on specific blocks. Lets say that your "block" is emerald ore, you can give them an item/tool like this: /give @p minecraft:diamond_pickaxe 1 0 {CanDestroy:[minecraft:emerald_ore]} Then you could testfor that the emerald ore has been broken. Then you could execute the command: /give @p minecraft:gravel 1 0 {CanPlaceOn:["minecraft:diamond_ore"]} There you go!
