How to fix small steam icons?

Recently I opened up Steam and it suddenly became microscopic:

I tried restarting and stuff. Where is the setting to fix that? (I'm on mac os, 15 inch monitor, the screenshot takes up full screen)

The problem was the fractional scale, i resolved the problem changing from 125% to 100% scale (and toggle off the fractional scale) and then steam and wine apps are more readable, and for the apps and system fonts that get too small in 100% scale, with the GNOME Tweaks put the system fonts scaling in 1,30 and the panel size from the zorin appearance from 48px to 64px.

Worth giving this a try in your case as well.

A VPN takes over the entire OS' connection. It is program-independent. As such, a VPN will work. Tor is more doubtful, because I don't think Steam supports a SOCKS proxy out of the box. There are programs out there that force a certain program to go through a SOCKS proxy though (which I couldn't find on a quick Google. I'll have a look around).

As Jeff Mercado mentions above Steam browser protocol is a possible solution. It's also possible to use it from a webpage or other apps that can open a page in your system's default browser, so it can be great with the command line combined with explorer "URL" for example. One of the problems with this is if you set it to automatically open Steam links by default. The links can do things ranging from installing/launching a game to deleting it, along with a lot more that's not documented either officially in the Steam Command Line Options or unofficially from data extracted from the Linux version of Steam. Another option is to use the Steam Command Line Options, as linked to above. It allows you to use more of the commands/etc, and you can do so far easier, so it's actually kind-of more powerful than the browser protocol but is not as cross-platform friendly. Of course if you're making a BATch script that doesn't really apply to your situation though

I can confirm that the main executable is not tied to Steam. Launching it directly start the game without going trough the "Loading game" steam window, and you can't access the steam community if you started it this way. This was surely done to enhance compatibility with outside tools like Wrye bash or OBSE for oblivion. With Oblivion on steam, you can't launch the game trough an external launcher without going trough the vanilla launcher that steam launches. Apparently, it was an oversight from either Bethesda or Valve, and was fixed in the first patch. (source)

Steam doesn't use sandboxes. For example, in Windows, Steam games usually save their data in My Documents, Appdata, their own installation folder or Steam's Steam Cloud folder (which syncs back to the online storage service for your saves, configurations and other user data). Some even install other programs, like a multiplayer component's library (e.g.: Games for Windows - LIVE). Valve, however, put some restrictions in place to prevent unwanted behaviour, like a game installing a publisher's games marketplace without asking. The only thing closest to doing that is Ubisoft's uPlay, which Ubisoft wanted to use for updating their games, so instead of shipping the full client each game comes with a mini version that lacks the marketplace and can only be started when you start its associated game. Games on Steam are mostly the same as their retail counterparts, only slightly modified to use Steam's authentication DRM and made downloadable through Steam's servers. Steam offers additional services in return, like automatic updates, cloud synchronisation of game user data, achievements, leaderboards and other personalised data (look at a user's Team Fortress 2 stats for an example) and more.

Yes, it does. There isn't anything in the Subscriber Agreement against it. In fact, you can use the same mobile phone number on multiple steam accounts too. Also it is clearly stated that you can (and recommended to if you are setting up a dedicated server) create another account: For security reasons it is recommended that you create a new Steam account just for your dedicated servers.

Searching for other profiles in the Steam Client has not always been as easy as it should be. A fail-safe way to find your friend and add him, is be asking him to go to his profile in his browser. Then he'll copy his URL (it should look something like http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198017813554/), and send it to you. Then you can open this URL in your browser (remember to log in), and add him there. If the problem still persists, please try Steam Support.

Did you try clicking that FAQ link at the end there? Your question is perfectly answered there... Who is eligible to participate in the Community Market? The account must have a successful purchase older than thirty days, but not older than a year. Also, Steam Guard must be enabled for 15 days. If you have had your password reset by Steam Support you will need to wait another 15 days with Steam Guard enabled before you can list items on the Community Market. If a chargeback has occurred on your account you will be eligible 30 days after your next successful purchase. If a password is reset on an active account, the market will be restricted for 5 days. If an account has not been active within the past two months, this restriction will last for 30 days. this does not affect password changes, only password resets. Adding a new purchase method to an account will trigger a market restriction for seven days.

Somewhere in May, Paradox, the developer and publisher of Stellaris, adjusted the price of many products upwards to adjust for consumer wage increases and to bring prices across multiple regions more in line with one another. You can clearly see this on the price graphs for the base, Nova and Galaxy packages: https://steamdb.info/app/281990/ https://steamdb.info/sub/99328/ https://steamdb.info/sub/100387/ As you can see, both the base and Nova package had the price increased in pretty much every currency apart from EUR, GBP and USD around the 23rd of May 2017. However, the Galaxy package has not been adjusted in this way for some reason. Because of this, in all currencies besides the 3 above, the Galaxy package is actually cheaper than the Nova package, because it never had the original price hike. Paradox has already stated that they will adjust the prices for the games back to their original pre-increase levels when the Steam Sales have ended, because they can't do it in the middle of the Steam sale.
