What do the different collection point colors mean?

In Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country, some collection points are colored orange instead of blue. What's the difference between orange and blue collection points? Are there other collection point colors?

Per the https://xenoblade.fandom.com/wiki/Collection_Point , the color of the text indicates the rarity of items you can receive from the collection point

[Collection points] are also colored differently depending on the rarity of their collectibles, with golden colored spots usually providing items of higher grade.

The wiki doesn't specify color rating other than gold (or yellow depending on screen resolution), but I'm guessing they are more-or-less the same as the https://gaming.stackexchange.com/a/325787/124566 in the base game

This is a case of XC2's unfriendly terminology biting you. A Core Chip's bonus strength does not apply to Merc Mission strength requirements because the two uses of the word "strength" here are referring to two distinct and entirely unrelated things. When Core Chips modify "Strength", they're modifying the Driver's Strength stat, thus increasing the amount of physical damage dealt when that Blade is active. When a Merc Mission is asking for a Blade's "Strength", they're checking the Blade's Strength stat, which is the number of unlocked nodes in their Affinity Chart.

https://xenoblade.fandom.com/wiki/Collection_Point , Collection Points reset after using Skip Travel. I confirmed this myself with the two collection points next to the Goldmouth Flight Deck in Argentum. I've also seen collection points respawn after cutscenes.

I believe you have to start going up, which starts with that airflow and continues with a bunch more field skills (there's also a ladder jump involved).

"Metroidvania" is a term used to describe a sort of exploratory 2D platforming game. It comes from the original games of the Metroid series and some of the middle-era of Castlevania games (most notably "Symphony of the Night", which is what primarily gave birth to the term). The most defining feature is usually the world. Rather than have set stages or a world map, the entire game takes place inside one giant map, which you must traverse about. Not just any map, but typically a very complex map filled with all kinds of secrets. The map is typically divided into sectors, more in an aesthetic fashion to denote that the denizens and dangers will be different. Sometimes you have teleports to assist you in travel, but other times you just have to remember where to go in the map. There's various elements at play in the exploration. There's typically tidbits hidden in spots, or puzzles that have to be returned to when you find appropriate equipment. The exploration is also non-linear - your limits of progression through the map are by various tools or powerups that you need to acquire, but the order in which you must acquire some of these tools is not set. And in many choices, there are many paths to get those tools, or even get past obstacles without those tools. A very popular element of these games, especially in the Metroid franchise, is the concept of "sequence breaking". Using special tricks or otherwise mastering the utility of your basic abilities, you can sometimes access items and areas far earlier than the game expects you to. As far as I know, Metroidvania games have always been 2D platforming games. Aside from the elements of exploration, the actual gameplay of Metroidvania games vary widely.

If auto-save is enabled, the game will save whenever you finish using a campfire. According to https://www.reddit.com/r/Xenoblade_Chronicles/comments/9g8554/psa_warning_checking_out_new_game_can_auto_save/ , the game will also auto-save when starting a New Game or New Game+. The saving indicator is easily missable as it's only on screen for a fraction of a second.

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to I be a way to check which items you've purchased already. I ended up buying every item I didn't already have at stores I didn't own the deed to.

The fear icon indicates if you are able to perform a fear take-down. When lit up you can perform a fear take-down. If not, you will need to perform a silent take-down to reactivate it. Please also note that if you have not performed a fear take-down yet, you have to progress a little further in the story. At the start this icon comes up before the mechanic itself is enabled. You should receive the fear take-down manoeuvre with the upgraded bat suit.

The orange numbers are the maximum damage you did in a short while. You can hear it in this Youtube video (or read the quote below): While we're at it we also call out, you know, your highest damage points in orange and they kind of float and hang little bit longer so you can really see those calls out of how your damages doing.

Metal Gear Solid games tend to have differences between the different difficulties, the ones i know for sure are: Damage received by enemy weapons AI "senses" (meaning the range of the simulated hearing and sight of enemies is different) Number and sometimes location of guards Number and location of consumibles (ammunition, some of the special items) Initial ammo capacity and starting amount of ammunition for each weapon) Depending on the game also the duration of a ledge grip is different Finally, Solid Normal is specified as Normal for US and Europe because the difficulty on Asia is different than the one for US, specifically in Japan, Naked Normal would be Normal and Solid Normal would be considered Hard instead of normal.

Objective Points = Mission points. What you are referring to is Total Points (The last column in the stats). Those take into consideration: + Mission points + Kill Points (No of kills * multiplier, based on headshot or other ) - Penalties So you have: -> Deaths -> Penalties (team kills + suicides) -> Objective points (surviving an Assassination, making an Assasination, blowing up an S&D...) -> Opponents killed -> Total points (opponents killed with multipliers and objectives are taken into consideration - penalties) This was also discussed here: https://www.neoseeker.com/forums/32245/t1423204-confused-with-score-system-multiplayer/

"Yes", you can. That's why different colors tend to be linked at all. The only thing that wont work is bad mechanics logic (Multiple Projectiles/Fork and Glacial Hammer for example, do not work together that well).

Dash speed: How fast the character runs at full tilt with dash depressed. Acceleration: How long you need to run holding dash to reach top speed. Jump height: How far up you go after pressing jump. Jump speed: How quickly you rise through the air to that maximum height. Fall speed: How quickly you sink through the air after jumping, wandering off a ledge, etc. Mario Dash speed: Average Acceleration: Average Jump height: Average Jump speed: Fast Fall speed: Average All-around average, really. Due to technicalities, you could say his jump height is below-average - but that's only because everyone else jumps equal or higher. Hardly a bad choice to start with. Luigi Dash speed: Fast Acceleration: Average Jump height: Highest Jump speed: Slow Fall speed: Slow Reportedly a "good all-rounder". Matters are complicated by his low traction (aka friction) - don't try to suddenly stop near a ledge. Peach Dash speed: Slow Acceleration: Fast Jump height: Average Jump speed: Fast Fall speed: Fastest Also floats in midair if you hold jump (combine with the Tanooki Suit for lots of airtime). A beginner character, in my opinion - lots of room for jumping mistakes, and no risk of careening anywhere you don't want at high speed. Toad (the blue one) Dash speed: Fastest Acceleration: Slowest Jump height: Average Jump speed: Fast Fall speed: Fastest I'm not kidding about those - you have to run in circles forever to get up to full speed, and he falls like a stone. The devs apparently called him "an advanced speedrun character", which seems fairly accurate - can you say "World 3-4 in 20 seconds"? Rosalina Dash speed: Slowest Acceleration: Fast Jump height: High Jump speed: Slow Fall speed: Average Unlocked after completing World Star-2. Also, press dash for a Super Mario Galaxy-style spin attack (which, BTW, does not flip those annoying flip-when-you-jump panels (sorry folks, this isn't Galaxy)). The spin attack cannot be used with a powerup. Captain Toad Approved levels only. Dash speed: Slow Acceleration: Average Jump height: Doesn't Fall speed: Fast I'll point this out again: cannot jump. (Still cutely tries to if you press jump.)

Recalling a Blade will recall the entire party and cancel the mission without granting any rewards (ie: money, experience, affinity chart progress). Blades can be recalled either by engaging a blade that is on a mission (Characters > Engage Blades) or by selecting an active mission (Merc Group).
