How rare is Lapis Lazuli in Minecraft?

Minecraft gamer here. I recently started a new world of Minecraft, and I went down to y = 16 and started strip mining to try to find diamonds. However, I have almost two stacks of lapis lazuli now and zero diamonds. Is this normal, and how rare is Lapis Lazuli in Minecraft?

Not very rare honestly, I've seen them on caves below -50. For your best chances, find one of those new large caves.

You had a 2.8% chance of rolling mending on your third villager. Explanation: If I counted correctly, there are 106 possible enchanted books (including different levels) that a villager can trade. Thus mending has a 1 in 106 chance of appearing. Mending has a cost of between 10 and 38 emeralds, with the chance of cost evenly distributed. 7 emeralds is apparently impossible (without any trading discounts) according to the wiki, though the wiki is generally more accurate for java than bedrock. I, personally would recommend using multiple structure blocks, (acquired with /give @s structure_block 1 0) and then set the size at maximum and place them strategically inside of, and around your structure. As long as you are in creative mode, you can press your "Use button" (usually right click or LT/L2) on the structure blocks, to see a preview of the blocks to clone. After saving it, you may move to a separate location and arrange the structure blocks in the same orientations, and load the saved schematics in the correct order. ALTERNATE METHOD You could also run /clone {first coord} {second coord} {coords to move to} If you do not want to use Structure blocks. The /clone command does not work over super long distances.

Have you tried using command blocks? You can give your command block using: /give @p minecraft:command_block 1. This only requires one repeated chain to fulfil. Basically, we create variables to track: Who is in the area you want your message displayed. Who has the message been played to. And what we do is: When a player enters our trigger area, we mark them as 'in the area'. Display our title to all players 'in the area' and without a 'executed' mark. Mark all players in the area as executed. When a player leaves the area, remove their 'executed' mark so that the title can execute again. Reset the titles of anyone outside the area and has executed. 1. Create your scoreboards to keep track of players. /scoreboard objectives add inArea dummy /scoreboard objectives add executed dummy 2. Create your logic to detect the players. (This is in a command block chain starting with a repeater command block) /scoreboard players set @a inArea 0 /scoreboard players set @a[r=__,x=__,y=__,z=__] inArea 1 /scoreboard title reset @a[score_inArea=0,score_executed_min=1] clear /scoreboard title reset @a[score_inArea=0,score_executed_min=1] reset /scoreboard players set @a[score_inArea=0] executed 0 If you would like a cuboid area, use: /scoreboard players set @a inArea 0 /scoreboard players set @a[x=__,y=__,z=__,dx=__,dy=__,dz=__] inArea 1 /scoreboard title reset @a[score_inArea=0,score_executed_min=1] clear /scoreboard title reset @a[score_inArea=0,score_executed_min=1] reset /scoreboard players set @a[score_inArea=0] executed 0 executed is the scoreboard to store whether or not a player has the title executed on them. inArea is whether or not the player is in the area. Basically, append these to the end of the chain in Step 2.) /title @a[score_inArea_min=1,score_executed=0] times /title @a[score_inArea_min=1,score_executed=0] title /title @a[score_inArea_min=1,score_executed=0] subtitle /scoreboard players @a[score_inArea_min=1] executed 1 Basically: If the player is inside the area and hasn't been executed yet, show him the title. Mark all players inside the trigger area as executed. If done right, you should have a repeat command block, followed by a chain of chain command blocks with the commands in the order shown.

In terms of automation, I've found quite a few interesting articles concerning using Autohotkey with Minecraft. Here's a nice forum thread for example. Obviously this isn't enough to react to what's happening in the game, the only way to do that is via a mod (I can't find any scripting mods), but it'll still allow for longer Minecraft sessions before the RSI kicks in.

This is just a question of time. You can indeed get Protection IV from villagers. I would suggest resetting a villager over and over instead of leveling him up to master. That way you can get to the specific trade you want, without wasting your precious ressources. Process of resetting: a) You need an unemployed villager b) give him a workstation of your choosing (lecturn in this case) c) check his trades. d1) If the desired trade is offered, take it. Once the villager gains exp his trades are locked. d2) If the desired trade is not offered, remove the work station and wait until the villager is unemployed again. and go back to "b)"

Wither Storm is a boss that only appeared in Minecraft: Story Mode. As such, it is unavailable in vanilla Minecraft without the use of mods. To quote the Story Mode wiki: The Wither Storm cannot be built in normal Minecraft, though all of the materials needed to build one exist.

Try checking if the assets directory in .minecraft has an indexes folder containing a JSON file for the version you are trying to play. If not try deleting the versions folder to get the launcher to redownload the game. If all else fails try deleting the assets directory.

Nope. There's no official version of Minecraft on browser that would save your progress, and Minecraft Classic is exclusive to keyboard; even if you could get it running on your phone, you'd need an external keyboard and mouse connected (both via bluetooth) to be able to play at all - and it wouldn't save. It's cheaper to just buy a new phone.

I used a script module to detect what the payer is holding, and apply slowness 256 to them (which zooms in the FOV quite a bit). No, it won't. Despawning only applies to mobs and dropped items. Blocks themselves don't despawn, especially not anything built by the player. If you want, you can read more about despawn on https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Spawn#Despawning .

Indev, literally meaning "in development", was the pre-beta version of Minecraft between December 2009 and February 2010. It was succeeded by Infdev, and then Alpha. Basically, Minecraft development moved through a number of phases. There was: The "pre-classic" era in mid 2009. The game was strictly single player creative. The multiplayer and survival tests a few months later. Indev, starting in early 2010 (version 0.31, though the version number wasn't being bumped to match releases for the later part of this) Infdev through mid 2010, which added infinite world generation (there used to be a hard limit on world sizes) Alpha, after June 2010, starting with 1.0.0. As I understand it, this was the point when people could actually buy the game. Beta 1.0 starting in December 2010, and going until November 2011 And finally the release series, starting at 1.0.0 and stretching on to today. In bedrock mobs use pathfinding by sight so if you put any non-transparent block in between the villager and the job block it will stop the pathfinding, also slabs can work to stop pathfinding.

Simply extract the folder inside the zip file into the %APPDATA%.minecraft\saves folder. When you start Minecraft and press Singleplayer, you should find the map there. Enjoy!

Would I get to download the game again after the reset? Yes, you would. You can redownload the game from the "Library" tab on Google Play (or, since Minecraft hasn't been unlisted, just search for the app again in the store; it should show you "Download" instead of the app's price in the green button). Keep in mind you have to be logged in with the same account that originally bought the game. Would it save my worlds? I sadly couldn't really find any definitive answer to this (I can't speak from experience since I never played the PE outside of the demo). However, if the Bedrock edition on Windows 10 is anything to go by: yes, it would. I would still recommend backing up your worlds just in case, which brings us to How can I save my worlds just in case? https://www.instructables.com/Save-the-World-Minecraft-PE/ The steps are as follow: Stop the Minecraft app before creating a backup. Open the "My Files" application and open the >games>com.mojang>minecraftWorlds-folder. Each folder on this location contains one Minecraft World. From there, copy the worlds you want to keep to an external storage (in this case, a microSD), and then paste them inside games>com.mojang>minecraftWorlds after the factory reset.

Yes, but it's likely not necessary Having two different .minecraft folders and switching them out does work, but is usually unnecessarily complicated. Assuming your modded version is not an FTB or Tekkit modpack, you can just use the vanilla launcher's profiles to differentiate the versions. This is a little tricky to do by hand, since you will have to teach minecraft that your modded version is not the vanilla version (unless your modded version uses a different base version than your vanilla game, e.g. modded 1.7.2, vanilla 1.8). Chances are you will need Forge Mod Loader (FML) anyway. The FML installer does the ugly work for you by setting up a new "version" and a corresponding profile automatically. If not, see below. Once you have a modded profile using the new version, I suggest changing the "Game Directory" entry of the profile to something else (e.g. ...\.minecraft\modded). This will move that profile's savegames (and some other stuff) to that folder. So you can't open vanilla worlds with the modded version, or (far worse) the modded worlds with the vanilla version. Manual Version Setup Detailed instructions can be found here (Credits to PorkyFish14). Create a new profile with the correct Minecraft version Start Minecraft to download the game files Open the versions folder (.minecraft\versions) Make a copy of the version and rename it to what you want Rename all files under that folder to the same name as the folder, but be sure not to change their extension. Open the .json file in a (good) text editor (such as Notepad++). On the second line, change the ID to the name of the version (i.e. the folder name), leave the quotation marks. Save and quit. Either mod your jar file, or replace it with your already modded jar file. Make sure the name still matches up with everything else! Start the launcher, edit the profile you made, and choose the newly listed version.
