What loot tables have mending?

I am looking for a list of chests that are able to have mending (either on an enchanted book or a "treasure" item).

I remember seeing a list on the wiki a long time ago but it does not seem to have that anymore.

What loot tables have mending books/items?

So as I could not find an answer online, I just manually searched every loot table in the game to get an answer which I have now added to https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Enchanting#Summary_of_enchantments .

But anyways here we go:

Treasure enchantments (Mending, Frost Walker, Curse of Binding, and Curse of Vanishing) can be obtained from the following:
- Jungle Temples (enchanted books)
- Stronghold coridor, crossing, and library (enchanted books)
- Fishing (both enchanted books and items)
- End Cities (only items, not enchanted books)
- Librarian villager trades (enchanted books)
Update: The aforementioned are chests that can roll books guaranteed to be "treasure enchantments" such as mending. However, there are a few other loot tables in the game that have "randomly enchanted" books that I was not aware apparently have a chance (small though it be) to be a treasure enchantment as well. These include:
- Dungeons
- Mineshafts
- Ancient Cities
- Desert temples
- Pillager Outposts
- Underwater ruins (big)
- Woodland Mansions

The loot system of Path of Exile is not bound at all to your character. This is due to the fact that, technically seen, all characters can do everything, only depending on how you spend your skill points. The only real differences between character classes are starting point in the skill map, starting stats, and quest rewards. Since the game can not possibly know how you want to play or develop the character, dropping loot for the character would be pointless. The loot in Path of Exile might seem disappointing at first when coming from other RPGs, but in fact it is just different. Your main priority should be collecting the so called 'currency' items, like stones, orbs, shards, etc. If you don't get fitting drops for your character, you will have to take a cheap item and upgrade it to your needs. For example, you could get a white lvl 16 weapon drop, and instantly make it a rare (yellow) weapon by applying an Orb of Alchemy. This way you can gear up much more targeted than waiting for fitting drops. On the other hand, spending currency items at low levels is mostly wasted in softcore, as you will still level up fast and make you current gear useless in the near future. The only real way to improve the loot you find is by modifiers on your gear, some can apply bonuses for loot quality.

From what I understand, F76 loot is random and personal, and it respawns quickly. So if you loot a location, then join another person's group and go to that location again, you're not going to get more loot, because you already looted that location recently. Once that location respawns, you can go back there and loot again. What they mean by "instanced loot" is that every player's loot is specific to themselves. I haven't completed the game yet (level 8 or so), the following is what I had found so far: Monster loot is fixed (snails drop snail slices, skeleton warrios drop a shield and lance) and I haven't seen any other random stuff drop from monsters like weapons and armor Monsters do generally not respawn, unless: In some regions, some "food providing" monsters did respawn after some time. I remember on level 6, I think, there is a large room with about 10 or more snails which drop food. These respawned after some time. Some regions require monsters in order to solve a riddle to continue the game. These will spawn indefinitely (although I only killed them like 3-4 times in a row until I realized I need to do other stuff with them). But they won't drop special items. Hope this helps.

TL;DR: The events during exploration seem to occur according to the elapsed time, discounted the distance covered on any partial return trips. Since the return speed is double of that of exploring, the time spent returning counts twice as the time going forward. This feature is reflected on the clock that is shown on the top of the screen. Also, major events occur only once, regardless of how many times you hit their mark. The Details To answer my own question, I carried out one of the experiments suggested by Svj0hn in his comment. I sent Jericho exploring for about 59h, recalled him and let him return for 1h and then sent him back exploring again. The path looked something like this - (*) |vault 1h returning (at double the exploring speed) (*) At the end of the hike (after the last leg of exploring), the clock showed 60h (2d 12h). It was when the National Guard event occurred (see 4th picture below). Unfortunately to me, I didn't get my legendary loot The Evidence Below are the relevant screenshots I've taken during the experiment. This picture below was taken moments before I recalled Jericho, at around 59h (58h 56min) into exploration. This next one was taken just after I recalled him. Notice that the clock immediately goes down to half the time of exploration, to about 29h (29h28min), meaning that the returning speed is double of that of exploration. Next one is when I sent Jericho around exploring again, after letting him return for about 1h. And that's the final picture where we can see when Jericho got to the National Guard Depot, after 3 more hours of exploring, just 3 minutes past the 60h mark. Conclusion Given the evidence I have, I can tell that the effects of recalling an explorer in the middle of his trip are the following: The explorer will return at double the speed of exploring. So, to compensate for 1 hour returning your hero will have to spend 2 more hours exploring. That will be taken into account by the clock on top of the screen. Regardless of how many times you recalled your explorer in one trip, you'll get the 60th hour reward when the clock gets past 60h of equivalent exploring time. Just remember that, according to Robert Wertz's question and answer (Is it possible to repeatedly trigger sixtieth hour events?), you'll get that reward at most once per trip. That is, you'll need to take the explorer back to the vault and start the trip once more to get the reward again. Although I haven't tested it, it's likely that other timed events follow the same pattern.

If all players are nearby, that means that no players are far away. In command form: /execute unless entity @a[distance=3..] run But that still executes if someone is in other dimensions, you can fix that this way: /execute unless entity @a[distance=3..] in the_nether unless entity @a[distance=0..] in the_end unless entity @a[distance=0..] run If you want the command to execute in the overworld, you have to add in overworld before run.

In Bedrock edition, a librarian villager has a 50% chance of having any enchanted book trade in his first slot, and the same goes for the second slot. Assuming the probability of each slot is independent, that means that only 1 in 4 librarians will have two enchanted books in the first two slots. Now, what are the chances of getting a Mending book? There are 39 different enchantments, but we have to exclude Cleaving (only available in Java edition combat tests), Sweeping edge (only available in Java edition), and Soul speed (which can be obtained by piglin bartering, or in loot chests, but not by trading with villagers). So that leaves 36. According to the official Wiki: The enchantment is chosen randomly with equal chance of any enchantment type occurring (except for Soul Speed) and equal chance to get any level of the enchantment, meaning high-level enchantments are as likely as low-level enchantments. So, it's a 1/2 chance to get a book instead of a bookshelf, and 1/36 for it to be Mending. Combining them together, you get a 1/2 * 1/36 = 1/72 chance to have Mending in the first slot. And if you got it, then for the second slot it's again a 1/72 chance of getting another Mending book. That's a 1/72 * 1/72 probability, which equals 1/5184. TL;DR: the chances of it happening are 1 in 5184, or 0.019%.

A hit with a snowball can summon a reinforcement zombie. Just tested with the following setup: 1.6.2, creative, hard, clean superflat world, time 23000, daylight cycle off. Time 23000 prevents both natural spawning and sun damage. It can take quite some time to get a spawn, though. Wiki mentions 80 x 80 x 80 spawning area. If this is a randomly picked point, the probability is 1/80 per hit on unobstructed superflat, and it definitely is somewhere in that order of magnitude by my testing. Not worth it for farming improvement, I'd say.

As best as I can tell, absolute position doesn't matter, but relative position does. By that, I mean that while it doesn't matter if your tank is on the right end or the left end, the tank should still be on the end with someone who can take a few hits next to him, because of enemy attacks which hit the target and anyone adjacent to them. By placing the tank on the end, the monster will waste one third of a Cleave-style attack if it targets the most likely target. And by placing a high-hp ally next to him, the spillover isn't so bad. As for the necromancer, he buffs a friendly target and both adjacent allies, so you want to group the characters who can benefit the most.

You'll need to create a scoreboard tag for each player and armor stand pair to use this command. /execute as @e[tag=stand1,type=minecraft:armor_stand] positioned as @a[tag=stand1] run teleport @s ~ ~1 ^-1 facing ^ ^ ^ This command should teleport an armor stand to the nearest player, one block above and one behind them. Breakdown of command: /execute as @e[tag=stand1,type=minecraft:armor_stand] - This will pick an armor stand with the scoreboard tag "stand1" and execute the command from it. positioned as @p[tag=stand1] - Sets all the relative positions used with ~ and ^ to be relative to the player with the scoreboard tag "stand1". run teleport @s ~ ~1 ^-1 - Teleports the armor stand to the player, up one block, and one block behind the direction the player is facing. facing ^ ^ ^ - Causes the armor stand to face the same direction the player's head is.

This answer assumes that you want to halve the amount of levels and the amount of points since the last level. Actually removing half the XP points that lead to this level would need a lot of complicated calculations, because levels in Minecraft take different amounts of XP to reach, it doesn't just grow linearly. Enchanting and using an anvil also doesn't differentiate these sizes, so it would be fitting to do the same in this system. As usual with death-related things, you need a scoreboard tracking custom:deaths: /scoreboard objectives add deaths custom:deaths You also need some scoreboards for calculations: /scoreboard objectives add xpLevels dummy /scoreboard objectives add xpPoints dummy /scoreboard objectives add const dummy /scoreboard players set 2 const 2 Then you can do something for all players that have a 1 in the "deaths" score, in this case storing the XP levels and points in a scoreboard and then take levels and points away. Everything below here can go in a ticking function or repeating command block chain. First storing the XP, this is easy: execute as @a[scores={deaths=1..}] store result score @s xpLevels run xp query @s levels execute as @a[scores={deaths=1..}] store result score @s xpPoints run xp query @s points Now the calculation, halving both values: scoreboard players operation @a[scores={deaths=1..}] xpLevels /= 2 const scoreboard players operation @a[scores={deaths=1..}] xpPoints /= 2 const Finally you can reset the score to be ready for the next death: scoreboard players reset @a[scores={deaths=1..}] deaths But nothing has happened with the XP yet. For that part, you would theoretically need another loop inside your already looping commands, to take away one level at a time until you reach the half, but firstly that would be more complicated and secondly it would lag the server whenever someone dies, the more XP they had before their death, the longer the server would hang. So here is an alternative approach that spreads the reduction and therefore lag out over multiple ticks. This has the added advantage that you get a cool countdown of the levels, making it extra clear for the players what is happening. For this the xpLevels and xpPoints scores get changed, but that doesn't matter, because they will be set on the next death anyway. Just add to your normal command chain these commands: xp add @a[scores={xpPoints=1..}] -1 points scoreboard players remove @a[scores={xpPoints=1..}] xpPoints 1 xp add @a[scores={xpLevels=1..,xpPoints=0}] -1 levels scoreboard players remove @a[scores={xpLevels=1..,xpPoints=0}] xpLevels 1 This will first remove one point and then one lever every tick, 20 times per second, until they have reached 0 in both scores, which means that they have half as much XP and levels as before. The reason for first removing points and only then starting with the levels is that the levels take different amounts of XP to reach, so your points difference from the last level might be much less if you have less levels, so you would get way more than half of the points deducted. You could also speed this up by adding more cases, like removing 10 levels if the scoreboard is at least at 10 and so on. But then of course the animation wouldn't be as nice. Note that dying while the points or levels get deducted makes the new goal XP half of what it was when dying the second time. But it should usually be pretty rare to die while this happens. If it is a problem, you can just add these cases for 10, 100, 1000 and so on levels/points. If you want the effect to be even more noticeable, especially for big amounts of points, you can give the players an effect for the time it takes to deduct points and levels, for example blindness: effect give @a[scores={xpLevels=1..}] blindness 1

The Wall of Flesh doesn't drop its drops in the standard way. Instead, when it dies, a box of demonite/crimsonite bricks forms in the air with the drops inside it. Make sure you're checking in the air in the underworld, and not just along the bottom.

Using these commands (BOTH!) will prevent players from picking up any item that was dropped by a different player while allowing players to pick up items that they dropped. /execute as @e[type=minecraft:item] if data entity @s Thrower run data modify entity @s Owner.L set from entity @s Thrower.L /execute as @e[type=minecraft:item] if data entity @s Owner run data modify entity @s Owner.M set from entity @s Thrower.M Using this command will set the pickup delay of dropped items to 0, so the item can be picked up imidiately and you really have to try to not pick it up: /execute as @e[type=minecraft:item] if data entity @s Thrower run data modify entity @s PickupDelay set value 0 Using all 3 of these commands would make items really hard to accidentally get lost by dropping them. I recommend a repeating command block and then 2 chain command blocks. If you want to be really sure that items don't get lost, then you can create a scoreboard objective that keeps track of item Owner-tags and player UUIDs. And then teleport any item that was dropped by a player to the player who dropped it. This is how you would set up the scoreboard objective: /scoreboard objectives add UUIDs dummy You would then want to set the score for all items and all players: /execute as @e[type=minecraft:item] if data entity @s Thrower store result score @s UUIDs run data get entity @s Thrower.M 0.0000000001 /execute as @a store result score @s UUIDs run data get entity @s UUIDMost 0.0000000001 When you are done with that you can teleport all thrown items to whatever player threw it: /execute as @e[type=item] at @a if score @s UUIDs = @p UUIDs run tp ~ ~ ~

There are no horses in 1.5.2, only in 1.6+ Saddles are uncraftable and can only be found in dungeons, abandoned mineshafts, Nether Fortresses, Desert and Jungle Temples. They can also be found in blacksmith's chests in villages, by fishing, or by trading with villagers.

No, in my experience the spawn chunk will rarely be At X=0 Z=0. If you are trying to find your spawn chunk then you can break your bed, and then follow your compass. The compass will always point towards you bed or spawn if no bed is found.
