Do field skills stack if I have multiple blades with the same ability? For example, if I come across a chest that requires level 3 focus to open, can I equip one blade with level 2 focus and another with level 1 focus?

Apparently, yes.

If you just need a higher level for field skills, remember that field skills stack from different blades.

The timing isn't different at all. Could you be more specific as to which side you've tried to stack from, and failed? If you're on the Radiant side, it is far more effective to run straight south along the ridge instead of turning north towards the secret shop. If you turn north, you force them to take a path that results in them gaining less distance, and they go home faster. They will usually get stuck on the trees a bit while trying to chase you, which is what causes that. If you are playing a character with a long range physical ability, like Beastmaster, then casting your spell from "behind" the camp (where the secret shop is, in the Radiant, or directly from the offlane in the Dire) and targeting the spot where the creeps are will also work 100% of the time if you time it correctly. If you were in the middle of a real match and your ancients would not stack, and you're quite sure that you performed the stack properly, then someone probably warded your ancient camp. You will want to buy sentry wards and try to remove it. It's best to look up videos for good ward placement, as you can easily accidentally block your own camp while doing this. EDIT: @ywm's suggestion in the comments to the OP has some very useful graphics regarding this topic.

Is it possible to complete a blade's level 3 Affinity Chart reward before completing the level 2 reward? While my current save is not in a really good spot to test this, but I'm going with No. While reviewing Myrtha's affinity chart, I have her level 4 nodes unlocked. As you can see in the screenshots below, she has a handful for level 2 and 3 not completed. I know for a fact I've used Lightning Buster and Photo Edge a numerous amount of times after unlocking these nodes, but yet they do not any progression towards completion. Will progress towards level 3 count if I haven't completed level 2? The answer to this one is that it depends on the node. As shown above, progression towards level 3 nodes does not count if level 2 is not completed. However, there are some nodes that have "Previous instances count toward total" as sub-text

If auto-save is enabled, the game will save whenever you finish using a campfire. According to https://www.reddit.com/r/Xenoblade_Chronicles/comments/9g8554/psa_warning_checking_out_new_game_can_auto_save/ , the game will also auto-save when starting a New Game or New Game+. The saving indicator is easily missable as it's only on screen for a fraction of a second.

I can't 100% confirm this yet, but I believe it to be the case: When a character leaves the party temporarily, their accessories and aux cores remain equipped, but you still have access to them and can take them back to put on someone else. When a character leaves the party permanently, their accessories and aux cores are unequipped and returned to inventory.

This is a case of XC2's unfriendly terminology biting you. A Core Chip's bonus strength does not apply to Merc Mission strength requirements because the two uses of the word "strength" here are referring to two distinct and entirely unrelated things. When Core Chips modify "Strength", they're modifying the Driver's Strength stat, thus increasing the amount of physical damage dealt when that Blade is active. When a Merc Mission is asking for a Blade's "Strength", they're checking the Blade's Strength stat, which is the number of unlocked nodes in their Affinity Chart.

With two exceptions, there are no synergies to leverage and few shortcuts that can be taken, so the answer is almost “sorry, it just takes time.” Combat increases by fighting monsters, but that just takes time. Grind that by going through your favourite few easy levels of the Mine (which will vary according to a player's skill and weapon preferences) repeatedly, leaving and then coming back with the Elevator. Foraging increases by collecting forage items and tree (not stump or stick) wood, but forage items and trees take time to grow back so there's no rushing that. Cultivate a tree farm for wood to get reliable gathering opportunities. Mining is increased by breaking rocks, so break lots of rocks while fighting those monsters. But there are a couple of things you can do that have significant efficiency gains: 1. Turnip Empire Farming increases per crop harvested regardless of its type. The way to increase farming the fastest is therefore to ensure that you're growing crops that allow you the most harvest actions per season. This means you become a Parsnip farmer in the spring (6 harvests per plant/square). In the summer you grow Hops (16 harvests per plant), and in the fall you grow Bok Choy (6 harvests per plant/square). In the fall Corn can give the same efficiency as Bock Choy, but this requires planting in the summer and Hops beats Corn in the summer by miles. You can increase harvests per season further with liberal application of Speed-Gro fertiliser if you have the coin or crafting ingredients for it. 2. Crabbing Empire The fastest way to gain Fishing XP while still having time to do other things in the day is by using Crab Pots. Though they are only 5xp daily each, they are very fast to harvest from and you can have many of them. Fishing for fish has a better XP payoff for time spent, but when you're trying to get other things done in the day then Crab Pots are the way to go because they leave time for doing other things. Fast travel You can speed all of this up by using Warp Totems, a horse, or unlocked minecarts, of course. It's expensive Most of the things that improve skill gain efficiency are not cost-efficient, so bear in mind that by aiming to be the most well-rounded character as fast as possible, the trade-off is inefficient wealth growth. If wealth is considered, the answer returns to “sorry, it just takes time.” If wealth also matters, then just make a cuppa and enjoy country life at its own pace. It doesn't actually take to long to max out all five skills by just playing without paying special attention to them.

You can talk to her and choose the option to choose the home you want her to live. If you choose one of your houses, she'll stay there, if you choose HER house, she has Sky Haven Temple set as her house, so she will stay there.

To reach the Mor Ardain Murals, fast travel to Empire of Mor Ardain > Alba Cavanich > Nharil Central Plaza. Turn right and climb two sets of stairs to the roof. Walk north until you reach a set of boxes to access the roof. Head back south towards Hardhaigh Palace and use another set of boxes to get over a railing. When you get to the end, jump across to the building straight ahead. Fall down to the left to find the mural next to a ladder. Once the mural has been deciphered, the excavation site for Mysterious Part B will appear. If you have Riddle on the Wall as your active quest, the chest location will be marked on your map.

In general, you can get rid of whatever you want. However, here are the guidelines I follow for if I should release a blade: Do I have enough of this field skill to pass a check if they randomly come up? If so, release it. My general thought here is that if I have approximately 10 that I can muster across all of my party members, that's good enough. Does it only have one field skill? If so, release it. I don't like single-use blades - more field skills means more utility in merc missions. Is it a 4 star common? Max it, then release it (for an overdrive protocol). I can safely say that at max merc level, I probably have a hundred blade slots free per driver.

According to this guide here, the answer would be no, so you can't add an extra 125 shields by running 5 Symmetras. Only one shield per ally. This also means multiple Symmetras cannot stack shields.

Recalling a Blade will recall the entire party and cancel the mission without granting any rewards (ie: money, experience, affinity chart progress). Blades can be recalled either by engaging a blade that is on a mission (Characters > Engage Blades) or by selecting an active mission (Merc Group).

Based on the wiki it looks like Hope and Adrenaline can't stack. Adrenaline is activated as soon as the last generator is completed while Hope isn't activated until an Exit Gate is opened. Unless Hope activates once the hatch closes like Adrenaline does I don't think that these perks have a chance to stack, but if they do then they definitely can stack. You can use any other exhaustion perk and get a speed boost while Hope is activated and get both haste status effects as well.

This is an occasional bug that many people (myself included) have experienced. For reasons currently unknown, a skill will be debuffed down to its starting level for your character's race. Increasing your skill level (whether through normal skill usage, training, reading a skill book, etc.) generally seems to restore the skill to its proper value. If you're on the PC version, you can also fix it by opening the console and issuing the command player.modav skillname 1 followed by player.modav skillname -1. Note that the internal name of the Archery skill is "Marksman", not "Archery".
