How do I sign in to PlayStation Network on a second hand PS3?

I bought a second-hand PS3, which still has the previous owner's old account on it. I have no way of knowing the last owner's info for PSN.

I've tried to sign in to my own account but can't. How do I remove the previous account so I can use my own?

Have you tried a factory reset of the device? This would seem to be the easiest way to get rid of traces of any previous use.

The main functions that PS3 Jailbreak provides are: Ability to run your own code on a PS3 - you normally can't do this. My PS3 died with YLOD couple of weeks ago and I got my new PS3 with 160GB hdd today. I also have my old hdd with 500GB including all my game saves. Can I somehow restore my game saves to the new hdd with the older one? Only if you saved them to the cloud. ie. if you have PS+ membership and have been backing up your saves. Some saved games can be copied to a USB drive (but not all), but it doesn't sound like you've been doing this. If I use SATA to USB -cable to connect my old hdd to PS3, can I restore my old gamedata that way (in the same way as regular USB-stick)? No. The hard disk in the PS3 is encrypted and can only be read in the PS3 that created the data in the first place. Since that PS3 is not working, there is no way to read the data from that hard disk. Well, there is one way. Get your old PS3 repaired, either by the 'reflowing' or 'reballing' technique. (Don't send it to Sony though - last I checked their policy was to format all HDDs in PS3s received for repair. Find a 3rd party that will do it.) After this your old PS3 will work again, but don't treat this as a long-term fix - it can be expected to last maybe 3 months. Instead use this opportunity to sign up to PS+ and copy all of your saves to the cloud. Then restore your saves to your new PS3 (you might have to wait 24 hours before you can do this step). The PS+ part is necessary because a number of saved games are copy protected, and the only way they can be transferred between systems is via the PS+ cloud. Even the backup utility feature won't transfer these files.

Info care of some guys on Discord. 1 second is 10 in-game minutes. A solar day differs in length depending on planet. On Mars the sol is 24:40, on Ceres 9 and on Io 42:30. This gives the breakdown. Ceres 09:00 54 seconds Mars 24:40 148 seconds Io 42:30 255 seconds

Yes, saves are forward compatible from the regular edition to legendary edition. Note, however, according to the official support page you may have issues going in reverse (from legendary to regular).

While PSN users can be logged into one system of a type at a certain time (i.e. can only be logged once from any PS3), a game downloaded into an activated console will be available to other users on the same system, so you should be able to play with your father, as long as both consoles are activated with the owner account, the game is downloaded to both and you're logged in with different accounts.

It doesn't sound like you're actually doing the correct procedure to get to Safe Mode, which is why you aren't getting there. From Sony's website regarding the PS3. Emphasis is mine. Activating Safe Mode Step 1: Turn off the PlayStation 3 by holding the Power button on the front of the unit till the Power light is red. Step 2: Touch and hold the Power button (do not remove your finger from the button). You will hear the first beep, meaning the PlayStation 3 is powering on. Continue to hold the Power button and after about 5 seconds, you will hear a second beep, indicating the video reset. Continue to hold the Power button and after about another 5 seconds you will hear a third beep and the system will power off (Power light is red). Step 3: Touch and hold the Power button (again, do not remove your finger from the button). As in Step 2, you will hear the first beep, again for the PlayStation 3 to power on. Continue to hold the Power button and after about 5 seconds, you will hear a second beep for video reset. Continue to hold the Power button and after about another 5 seconds you will hear a quick double beep. At that point release the Power button. If you succeeded in activating Safe Mode, you will see a message on the screen saying, "Connect the controller using a USB cable and then press the PS button." Connect a USB cable to the controller and the PlayStation 3 and press the PS button to enter Safe Mode. You will now see the Safe Mode menu. Step 4: We recommend performing the safe mode options in the following order until one of the options works for you. If one of the options work, do not continue onto the other options. Restore Default Settings (item 2) Restore File System (item 3) Rebuild Database (item 4) Restore PS3 System (item 5)

It depends. Each console generation uses different hardware, which behave differently. Code written for one hardware will not necessarily work for another. This is especially true for consoles, which usually make heavy changes to their hardware from one generation to the next, usually removing old, obsolete features that can be achieved differently. Older PS models As a general rule of thumb, an older console will not run games made for a newer console. So in your example, no, a PS2 will never run a PS4 game. It just doesn't have the hardware to do it (it's not like Sony had a time machine that allowed them to include PS4 hardware in a PS2). The other way around is more complicated. PS2 In the past, newer consoles shipped with hardware used in older consoles in order to provide backward compatibility. For example, the PS2 had PS1 hardware, with which it ran PS1 games. PS3 The PS3 used to have PS2 hardware at first. Then, some of that hardware was removed to reduce cost. At that point, PS2 games had to be partially emulated to run on the PS3. Finally, the PS3 shipped without PS2 hardware. Sony eventually released an emulator that allowed some select few PS2 games to run on all PS3 models. These games could be bought for the PS3 on the PlayStation Network. Fortunately, all PS3 models are compatible to PS1 games through the use of emulation. PS4 The PS4 only plays PS4 games. While you can play PS3 games on PS4 using a PS Now subscription, the games don't run on the PS4 itself. Instead, they run on some servers in the cloud. Input is streamed from the PS4 to those servers, and image and sound is streamed back from the servers to the PS4. This also works with other devices, such as a PC. A few PS2 games are available on the PlayStation Network and can be played on the PS4 via emulation. The original PS2 discs are not compatible to the PS4, however. PS5 The PS5 supports running PS4 games. According to pocket-lint.com, this is achieved through emulation: As with the Xbox Series X and S, backward compatibility is performed through emulation, which means some features and/or games may not work or may exhibit some bugs. There is currently no information on compatibility with PS3 or older games. Emulation is a technique that translates code written for one machine, so it can run on another. Obviously, running a game through an emulator requires more power than running the game directly, hence why it's used exclusively by newer (more powerful) consoles to run games written for older (less powerful) ones. A PS2 could never hope to play PS4 games through emulation.

I believe the best way is to create a family and not try to block individual IP addresses because you have more features on the PS4 such as internet browser and chatting which can be accessed by every user. Unfortunately you can't demote a family manager to a child account. Setup A user can be in only one family at a time. Children are automatically added to the family of the adult who creates their user accounts. Children cannot be removed from the family they are added to, so be sure that the adult who creates a child’s user account intends to be the family manager. Family managers and child family members cannot leave their family. A family may only consist of maximum 7 members, there are 3 types of accounts you can add to the family. You can add existing or create PSN accounts and add them as child or adult. The type is based on the date of birth you put in when adding a member to the family. Adult with parental controls Adult without parental controls Child without parental controls and with restricted access The fourth type of account is the family manager and is created when you setup a family for the first time. I hope this answers some of your questions.

The second to last trophy is awarded for killing the baby mantis in Level 1-4. I don't see how you got all the trophies without getting that trophy, because you have to kill the mantis to get perfect on level 1-4! Are you sure you have all the trophies?

Yes, it should be ok to play the PS3 in an environment of around 30C. The temperature testing done over at geek.com indicates that the PS3 should operate just fine in an environment upwards of 38 degrees Celsius for periods of at least 84 hours (which is much longer than your 5 minutes). The summer heat should not be an issue. I'm guessing that the problems are due to an issue with your PS3, or maybe an issue with the game disc.

Just for your information, this is /tp not /mvtp, so it can only teleport you to somewhere in the same world Fist off, run this command: /give @p sign 1 0 {BlockEntityTag: {Text1: "{text:\"Teleport\",color:\"green\",bold:true,clickEvent {action:\"run_command\",value:\"/teleport @p[r=4] \"}}"},display:{Name: "Custom Sign"}} This will teleport the closest player within 4 blocks to whatever you make the x y and z I'm not sure about the limited player thing, but you could make a scoreboard ( /scoreboard objectives add Dummy ) Add a testfor command that tests for everyone within a 100 block radius ( /testfor @a[r=100] ) And connect a comparator to it that has redstone attached to it which runs to a command block. (/testfor works with command blocks that makes it if there were 10 people within the 100 block area, it would put out 10 redstone charge). This is as much as I can figure, Hope I helped!

The newer micro USB ones specifically made for the PS4 aren't backwards compatible. The slightly older repackaged, rereleased PS3 ones with the mini USB are though, since they are just the PS3 ones in a different box. It's never stated but to win the second map all you have to do is gather 1.000.000 $ . Its not that hard considering that the developer heads fetch you 100.000 $: Also if you like this game I recommend you try Super Motherload, its based on the same game but it's more polished.
