Do I need to start a new character to play the True Vault Hunter Mode boss?

I just finished Borderlands 2 on the normal mode and unlocked the true vault hunter mode (TVHM). Do I need to play the game all over again to grind the warrior (final boss) in TVHM or is it possible to try the boss in TVHM without playing entire game again?

Unfortunately, you will have to play through the main storyline again to fight the Warrior in TVHM (and again once you unlock UVHM). You can re-fight the Warrior in NVHM again, of course, but it caps at ~lvl 35 IIRC.

Now that you know the story & such, though, you can choose to ignore more of the side missions, unless they give gear you need/want for your build.

In general, I find that NVHM is generally good for getting the story, without worrying overmuch about your gear. A wide variety of options work well. Then when you replay in TVHM, you may be forced to optimize more with the more buff enemies you encounter (which is good practice if you wish to play UVHM). Plus, you may see things in the story you didn't catch the first time.

You can totally start your X3 experience with Terran Conflict. The background you need about the history of the universe is provided by the many informative texts in the game, if you want to read them all - but you can also skip them and still enjoy the game. As has been said in the comments, X3's not Skyrim, it is much less focused on scenarized quests and universe history.

Some non-legendaries have +6 to a skill. Never seen more than 6, though from my inventory even a green can have a level 6, so I don't think it's tied necessarily to rarity (it may be to level though, these are level 50 mods and I think lower level ones go as low as +1). I've played 4 full playthroughs (two playthrough ones, two playthrough twos) and I don't recall ever seeing a single +7, though I have a few +6s in my inventory right now. The skill counts are the same as the first game; white mods have no skills they boost, greens boost 1, blue 2, purple 3. According to The Gear Calculator (via Orc JMR), green Mods can grant up to +5, blue Mods up to +6/5, purple Mods up to +5/4/4. So Purple mods boast the most skill points overall, but blue mods can actually boost two specific skills higher than a purple can. Legendary mods have set skills they boost, the Legendary (Class) mod boosts by +5, the Slayer of Terra mods have +4.

Bullets do not go through Deathtrap. However, rockets and other things that explode on contact (glob gun shots for example) do go through deathtrap. How I tested it: I cleared an area of enemies and summoned Deathtrap. I then positioned him between myself and a corrosion barrel. Close enough that even if I missed him due to Anarchy I couldn't hit the barrel. I then unloaded several clips into him, aiming at the barrel on the other side of him. The barrel didn't go off. To double check that I wasn't mistaken in my aim; I waited for him to disappear and then shot once, blowing up the barrel. Additionally, to try to rule out ricochets off of Deathtrap I performed another test: I have 5 points in Close Enough (50% chance to ricochet) I summoned DeathTrap and positioned him in front of me, with the barrel off to my side. I unloaded several clips into him, aiming at different points and strafing to ensure that if I was ricocheting that it shouldn't have been able to miss. I noticed that no ricochet trails were appearing on screen, and the barrel did not explode.

Yes, just take a backup of your universe and player folders and restore them on another computer. It should keep all your characters, spaceships and buildings intact. You should find both folders directly under your Starbound folder.

Yes, there are unlocked achievements for both of the levels, namely, Power Gamer and Extreme Power Gamer. See here To continue a completed game, just choose new game and you will see your previous character there. Simply select it.

In Borderlands, enemies do scale properly. Wherever enemies scale, it does not introduce problems or imbalances. Player's health and gun damage (values easily inspected) increase by 13% per level. Other variables, like enemy damage and enemy health, scale accordingly - while I can't readily prove that it is 13% per level, it is definitely adequate. Some areas of the game have enemies of fixed level, while other spawn enemies of levels (player level + some constant).

You can fight the bosses away from your npc's or just move your npc's near a comfortable spot. Although it's not a total loss as npc's respawn the next day or so.

The main thing that i would look out for is anytime people ask to look at your item, there are a lot of players online that will try and get rare gear by simply stealing it from you. Other things that i have seen include getting players into fights they can't win and then not helping so they die. presenting trades that are massively one sided against the player. You will also run into hackers that you need to worry about, i find they ruin the game more than anything else - people out there who have invincibility shields and million damage rifles that just plow through the game while you do nothing just takes the fun out of it. Bug wise the main one is item duping see this thread to see the main ways this is done Link this has also been used as a scam to take players gear in the promise it will get duped and then just stealing it.

Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul is a massive mod that completely removed the automatic difficulty scaling, replacing all spawns in the game with fixed-level monsters and loot. Your question seems to indicate that was your biggest complaint with the game, so you should find OOO right up your alley.

According to Xbox360Achievements.org, there are no missable achievements. Even Up High, Down Low can be completed later on as there are other opportunities to high five Claptrap (including one right before the end of the game).

I have not seen any mods with that capability. But it stands to reason that with client-side hacking, anything is possible. Especially when you have all the files required. So, in essence, unless you are willing to get your hands dirty and put in the work of hacking it yourself, there does not seem to be a way at the moment.

I can confirm that creating/editing steam.cfg (in the same directory as the Steam executable) with the following lines works, as long as you've set Steam to remember your password (thanks DarkAnime): BootStrapperInhibitAll=enable ForceOfflineMode=enable If you want to manage this with a command-line parameter, you could create a script to do something like the following (Windows .bat file): IF "%1"=="offline" ( IF EXIST steam.cfgx ( rename steam.cfgx steam.cfg ) ) ELSE ( IF EXIST steam.cfg ( rename steam.cfg steam.cfgx ) ) start steam.exe It used to be that you could hit "Cancel" while Steam was starting up and it would allow you to start offline mode from there, but that no longer works.

"This is the Buck Up glitch. [...] What the game views this [Buck Up] as is an active effect. Thankfully, you can store active effects in between area transfers. So, if Deathtrap is using Buck Up on you while you area-transfer, the effect of the shield regeneration gets stored on your shield and on your character, allowing a bunch of fantastic things to happen. Primarily, you'll notice on the first Buck Up stack that your shield delay for recharge rate goes to zero; your shield will recharge instantly the second that it takes any damage. The other fantastic thing about this is that it is stackable. You can do this glitch as many times as you want during a game session, and every single time, it will increase your shield recharge rate by a greater and greater amount. There's no limit to how much you can stack this glitch or how effective it can become. [...] So, the way that I usually set this up in a speedrun and the best way to do it is: Unequip your shield while you're near an area transfer waypoint, summon Deathtrap, go to the waypoint, and just go somewhere. And when you arrive, you'll notice that you can still see the blue outline of your shield being recharged by Deathtrap on the outside of the screen: This is gonna let you know that it works. It's very important to get the timing down properly; if you don't get the timing down properly, you're not actually activating the glitch. So, it's important that the Buck Up effect is active on you when you're transferring. You know that's happening because if you're looking from the area travel station (like this), your character will have a (you know) big blue shield ball go pop, show up in a line coming from Deathtrap to your character, to let you know that it's working. And if you're transferring in-between locations (like we did at the beginning of the video)--Let's head back to Thousand Cuts. Unequip your shield--Same--same process but the notification is a lil' different. You'll notice that, when it's active on you, again the outside of your screen is going to shine blue with the shield recharge effect, and then after you reach the next area, you will see it again." I confirm that it still works, on version 1.8.3. It is reset upon quitting the current game and returning to the main menu.

Based on the Gamefaqs faq here, you need to focus on the dolls. From Gamefaqs: Kreutzer has many attacks each one is very difficult to avoid. Anyway to win its not to damage her its actually to exhaust her doll supply. This can be done by destroying the dolls. Do it quickly though otherwise you'll run out of time and that won't be good. Also... From Gamefaqs: She also has 8 attacks she'll do inbetween each doll barrage. The first one she'll summon large bullets moving around in a circle. This is really easy to avoid just watch out for any stray bullets she'll make. The second one she'll shoot bullet waves, this one is easy to avoid too. The third one she'll rush to one side of the screen while bullets coming from that side will rush to other, fairly tricky to avoid. The next one is one of her hardest, she summon bullet circles which shoot bullet waves at you, this tricky to avoid even in Euridice. The next one she'll rush back and forth creating bullet circles which can be tricky to avoid. Her next one she creates a grid of bullets, this one is pretty tough too. I haven't got her last two ones down yet. Here is a video of the fight, which will probably better show how to deal with each bullet pattern. !
