Minecraft Daylight cycle issue

I have downloaded a world (a mansion build) online into my Minecraft game. The world I download does not have a daylight cycle. It remains daytime all the time. I have tried to turn this off by doing both gamerule dodaylightcycle false and gamerule dodaylightcycle true. Both haven't worked and it always remains daytime. Is there any way other I can fix this?

By using /gamerule dodaylightcycle true you need to wait some time. You can also change time using /time set 1000 for day and /time set 18000 for night. If none of this work, I really have no idea of what to do.

It's hard to state what the issue is here without going into some SE.SuperUser territory, but I believe one of these suggestions will fix your issue. You've tested and determined that the server is reachable from a different PC on the same network. It's clear that the problem isn't with Minecraft as it's only affecting first PC and only when connecting to a third-party server. We'll need to figure out if it's a problem with Windows or a problem with your home router. Turn off Windows Firewall Assuming you're using Windows 7+, you'll want to see if turning the built-in firewall off fixes the issue. To disable the firewall portion of Windows Firewall with Advanced Security by using the Windows Firewall Control Panel program Click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet, and then under Windows Firewall, click Turn Windows Firewall on or off. On the General tab of the Windows Firewall Settings dialog box, select Off (not recommended), and then click OK. Place the PC on the router's DMZ Assuming that turning the firewall off didn't work, this should be your next step. In this one you'll have to research how do it as it's different steps and locations even for the same brand and manufacturer. Generally speaking though, a home router will offer the option to place a device in DMZ, or "non-protected" status. The idea behind this is that all traffic will be directly to the IP address in DMZ first unless stated as a forward otherwise. This should only be for testing purposes. If it works on DMZ, then you'll want to check your forwarding settings again and see if the ports and destination IP is correct. Leaving a computer on the DMZ leaves it open to any and all connections, which makes it a possible target to people and bots with malice intent, but also removes any and all possible restrictions Repair Windows TCP/IP stack If the other two options do not work, there's something most likely messing with outbound connections. At this point, I would see if repairing your TCP/IP settings would fix the issue. Click on the Start button, type cmd and right-click on Command Prompt; slect "Run as Administrator" from the context menu. Inside the new Command Prompt window, type: netsh int ip reset When complete, reboot the PC. If this doesn't fix the issue, there might be a bigger problem you'll want a repair shop to look into.

This depends on the version of Minecraft PE. Version 0.9.0 and above: Currently impossible. The level format was completely changed in 0.9.0 and is incompatible with Minecraft PC. Version 0.2.0 to 0.8.1: The level format is more or less the same, however the world is not directly compatible. Chunks.dat contains the chunk info and can be read by MC Edit, so it is possible to "transplant" this world with the following steps: Create a new world in Minecraft PC that we will be placing the Minecraft PE world into. This is necessary because we will be essentially copying the limited PE world into the limitless PC world. Copy your Minecraft world from the device, and put this world anywhere on your PC as you see fit. As this is device-specific, I will leave this part up to you. Open up MC Edit, "Open a Level...", and then select "chunks.dat" from your world. Select the entire world. You can do this by selecting one corner of the world, then dragging the selection to the other corner of the world. Copy the selection, then save as a Schematic. Now go back to the main menu in MC Edit, and choose "Load World...", the open the Minecraft PC world that we will be importing our PE world into. Choose "Import" and select the Schematic that we previously saved. Place the schematic, wait for it to import, then save the map.

There are two errors I could pick up on in the log. The first is that it indicates that your runtime is outdated. I believe that means your Java version is out of date. Try to update it. The second error is the operation timed out one, which means that you have no/poor/spotty internet connection, or that you have a firewall up. Try to either get to a better internet hotspot and/or turn off your firewall.

There may be a better solution to your specific red stone contraption you are building, but here are some solutions to get 2 Redstone signals side-by-side. Redstone dust & opaque blocks Pro: Has the fastest Redstone travel time Con:Not directly side by side, have to use Repeaters every 15 blocks Repeaters Pro: side by side Con: not fast, have to use Repeaters every 1 block Sticky Pistons and Redstone Blocks Pro:Side by side Con:Not super slow, but not as fast a Redstone, expensive, makes noise If you really wanted side by side red stone, you could use commands or mc edit to create Redstone that doesn't connect, just don't update the block. (EDIT: And by don't update the block, that includes no Redstone signals traveling through the Redstone: that updates the block.) This was done in my red stone test world in Minecraft Pocket Edition, but all the Redstone mechanics shown here work on the PC version as well.

I figured it out: make the regular iron sword-giver have a custom name of Iron Sword, which can be done by adding {display:{Name:"Iron Sword"}}. In the seller, make it clear the sword by adding the same display name.

One possible solution as it is your server and you have access to console. Turn on console logging with gamerule command: /gamerule logAdminCommands true This will allow you to look in console the next time you die as any command block being used to kill you will output something similar to this: CommandBlock at 7,51,1 issued server command: kill @a This will give you the coordinates to the rogue command block. Then using the setblock command you can set those coordinates to air. In my example, this would be command: /setblock 7 51 1 air Or if you want to leave the command block but stop it from killing you, you can change the block to require redstone with the blockdata command: /blockdata 7 51 1 {auto:0}

This is probably because of either of these things: Your internet is slow The server has lots of players Try joining a less frequent server and see if it solves the problem. If that's not the case however, the only option you have left is to contact your ISP and change your internet plan.

Apparently you have to load single-player first, and get the very first achievement. After that, achievements will work fine in both single-player and multiplayer.

There are multiple ways to download mods, but the easiest one is: Download Forge for your Minecraft version. Search for your favorite mod corresponding to your forge version. Some mods come with direct installers, in this case just run the install file. For other mods, make a folder named Mods in your .minecraft folder, and extract the mod to it. Run Minecraft and select your forge profile, your mods will now be loaded. Some mods have other ways of installing them, but the creators then provide you with a video on how to install.

You should use /testforblocks. This tests if two chests are the same. /testforblocks templateX templateY templateZ templateX templateY templateZ testforX testforY testforZ You will need to place a template chest down with the specific item pattern. Then if it passes, you use a conditional command block placed after that to continue the chain. If you need to use non-relative coordinates, remove the tilde ~ from your coordinates. So instead of typing ~1 ~2 ~3, type 1 2 3 to always execute at world coordinates (1, 2, 3), instead of relative. Otherwise, I don't quite understand what you mean by "unspecific coordinates". I assume it means that it is not relative, but a certain world coordinates each time. If not, please update it in your question to be more specific. If you want to test for any chest, anywhere, it's going to be quite tricky, and I'm not skilled enough to solve it. Sorry.

Use this guide to find the minecraft data folder: http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/finding-minecraft-data-folder/ In this folder verify that /saves is present and contains your worlds. If it doesn't, then your worlds are gone unless you have a backup.

I'm pretty sure that the correct syntax that you are looking for is /fill air replace log. You put the log before the air but it is really the other way around. So once you've correctly used the command I listed above, you should just have to wait for the leaves to decompose, and you're golden (Just be sure that you list the coordinates correctly.)

Have you moved away from your spawn point? The area around the spawn point can only be altered by administrator ("op") players. Either move away from spawn (about 20 or 30 blocks), give yourself op, or disable spawn-protection by adding spawn-protection=0 to your server.properties file. If you have done any of these, then your connection to the server is bad and you're experiencing desynchronisation between the server and client. The problem then is either your server acting up (is it modded?), or with your network connection / the network code at the operating system level and not Minecraft. Make sure your JVM is up-to-date at the very least, as I've experienced multiple minutes of lag loading chunks and opening containers when running the latest Minecraft on an outdated JVM on Windows. If it's your server acting up, try restarting it. If you're running a modded server, make sure you're using the most recent stable version to avoid bugs that could cause an unstable connection.
