I don't think it's Pokemon XY, it seems closer to Alpha Sapphire. It has locations such as Petalburg City and Rustboro City.

Which game is this, actually?

Yes this is possible. Leech Seed is technically a status effect. It is considered as a volatile status, which can be active alongside other status effects. Here is the page where you can learn about Leech Seed.

The games in which you can choose Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle as starters: Pokemon Red, Blue and Green (Generation 1) Pokemon Yellow (Generation 1). They are not obtained as starter Pokemon but all 3 are obtained whilst progressing through the game Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen (Generation 3). These are remakes of Pokemon Red and Blue Pokemon X and Y (Generation 6). They are not chosen at the start of the game. Pokemon Let's Go Eevee and Pikachu (Generation 7). These are remakes of Pokemon Yellow. They are not obtained as starter Pokemon but all 3 are obtained whilst progressing through the game Pokemon Go, alongside Pikachu. Note that none of the games on the list are Nintendo DS Pokemon games. Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen are Gameboy Advance games and as such can be played on a Nintendo DS but not a Nintendo DSi, 3DS or 2DS. Pokemon X and Y are 3DS games and thus work on a Nintendo 3DS or 2DS. Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow, whilst old Gameboy games, can be obtained on the 3DS by download from the Nintendo 3DS eShop. EDIT: Heart Gold and Soul Silver, a 4th Gen game on the DS, does let you choose them as starters, but only post-game after beating Red.

not only is baron game changing even dragon can be game changing. Baron gives everyone on your team 300 gold, that's roughly worth a kill to everyone so add 5 kills to the score plus the baron buff gives everyone a serious advantage in a teamfight so in most cases you need to defend until their buff wears off.

As for games, the only things that actually get saved local are the updates from the internet. All your data and saves from the game are safe in your game chip. You won't lose all your legendary Pokemon from your game upon transferring over data. Neither will any other game lose their data with a chip.

There is in fact an online tool called Pokécheck which emulates the GTS to capture information about your Pokémon. It works by changing the wireless settings of your DS to make the game connect to the other server, after which you upload the Pokémon you want to check (it won't be removed from your game, so there's no risk of losing anything). It also features a legality analysis which attempts to determine if the Pokémon is likely to have been hacked (and why it thinks so). This is necessarily not 100% accurate - one possible flag is the EV distribution, which can just be a matter of careful planning - but it should give you a point in the right direction for the Pokémon you're concerned about.

What system do you have to identify the user? You only mentioned not using Steam login, but how will you do the authentication? How does the computer know "Bob" is playing the game instead of "Bill"? Whatever authentication method you're using, the save file will be managed within that system. Or the system lets them insert a USB key with their save files on it, and the system copies it over to the right folders, then deletes it when the session ends.

For Basculin and Stantler, while there are not direct hints, Both have entries directly related in their Pokédex research tasks that, if accomplished by a single Pokémon, would allow it to evolve. I would not consider Uraaluna’s method particularly unique, other Pokémon have had essentially identical elements before, and The name does suggest the harder part of the evolution…

In summary it uses trial and error. There is a sheet of game data which has base stats and then a bunch of functions that just try different values of IV that would match the numbers you have given it. Since a given CP/HP combination can have multiple possible sets of stats it suggests levelling it up and trying again and this way it can eliminate some of the incorrect possibilities. In more detail this is the algorithm that is uses... It works out level of Pokémon (and levels can be halves as well as whole numbers) by the stardust cost of the next upgrade (table is in the game data sheet). The "powered up?" column determines whether these half levels are actually allowed. If "powered up" is TRUE then it will allow half levels, otherwise the level must be a whole number. I assume this is because pokemon when caught will always have an integer level. It then loops through all possible levels getting all the combinations of stats that work for that. 2.1. First for a given level it works out possible stamina values. Each level has a CP multiplier (in the game data sheet). IV stamina can be anything from 0 to 15. It adds this value to the base stamina of the pokemon and multiplies it by the CP value. It then takes the floor of this value (so taking just the whole number part so 59.9 would be 59). If this matches the HP you were given then the stamina is a valid possibility. 2.2 Attack and Defence are also between 0 and 15 and it tries all 256 combinations of those with the possible staminas. It works out the CP for each possible combination and any that match the CP you have given it are added as possibilities. 2.2.1 CP is worked out by taking the attack ((base+IV)*CPMultiplier), the square root of the defence ((base+IV)*CPMultiplier), and the square root of the stamina ((base+IV)*CPMultiplier), multiplying them together and dividing by 10. This gives you your list of possibilities. Once you try again after a level up because of the way the rounding works some of the previous calculated possibilities will likely differ by 1 (or maybe more) and therefore can be discounted. Do this enough times and it will work out a unique set of values for the stats. The Dratini example should show you how this works. Follow through the maths on each of them to see how it works. My coworker saw my post, and helped figure out where this screenshot was from. TL;DR: The screenshot is from a mod/remake of the game. Longer version: Wonder Boy III : The Dragons Trap was ported to the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TurboGrafx-16 , and the game was rebranded as " https://necretro.org/Dragon%27s_Curse ". Some of the differences include changes to the player-sprites (eg. Lizard-man looks more like a dragon, Hawk-man has blue eyes, Lion-man is Tiger-man) and background images when fighting the boss dragons, but it is essentially the same game. The screenshot in the question is from a modded/remade/remixed version of "Dragons Curse". It was made by a modder called Vile1011 and released around 2007. The Pokémon Nuzlocke challenge is a self-imposed challenge, meaning that there is no direction that the game outright forces you towards. After you reach your self-imposed goal you're free to play however you see fit. If you desire, you no longer have to adhere to the challenge's rules after defeating all gym leaders. Because the Nuzlocke challenge is self-imposed there are no repercussions for breaking its rules.

It is not possible to change the game pace once the game has already begun. This article details the mathematics behind these mechanics and details how they're effected in the various game speeds. This thread from the Steam forums details the effects the game speed has in less mathematical terms and also includes information on how map sizes effects gameplay as well. In addition, the game speed also affects the number of turns in each game. Game speed effects a fairly substantial number of the mechanics in the game, including but not limited to; The amount of production required to complete units/structures The amount of science required to learn new technologies The amount of culture required to purchase new policies Gold from defeated barbarian tribes The cost of research agreements For example; (copied from the Steam link) Game speed: QUICK Game Length (Turns) = 330, Production Cost (Hammers) = 26, Policy Cost (Culture) = 15 Game speed: STANDARD Game Length (Turns) = 500, Production Cost (Hammers) = 40, Policy Cost (Culture) = 25 Game speed: EPIC Game Length (Turns) = 750, Production Cost (Hammers) = 60, Policy Cost (Culture) = 35 Game speed: MARATHON Game Length (Turns) = 1500, Production Cost (Hammers) = 120, Policy Cost (Culture) = 75 Product cost = Cost (In Hammers) to produce a WARRIOR. I don't understand why you're doing Ctrl + O to load the savefile, that option is used to open the game itself (which is usually a .gba file). VBA's save files should already be in .sav format, unless you are using save state which is a different story. That .sg1 file should be VBA savestate file, so you can't properly load the game from that. The only way to load that file is starting the game, then load savestate (which is done by pressing F1) Here's a video tutorial for reference. Note: When using VBA it's not only recommended to save the state, it's better to export battery file, too: File -> Export -> Battery file This is a really important step that you need to take.

The Pokemon games in order of plot based on Bulbapedia: Red, Blue, Yellow, Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. All their remakes occur at the same time. Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee is thought to occur at the same time in an alternate universe, since it features the same story as Yellow in beating Team Rocket but has changes to Red, Blue, and Mina that aren't consistent with the main story (source 1 and 2). Gold, Silver, Crystal, Heart Gold, Soul Silver, Diamond, Pearl and Platinum Pokemon Black and White Pokemon Black 2, White 2, X, and Y Pokemon Sun and Moon. Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon occur at the same time but in an alternate universe. It is not yet clear where Pokemon Sword and Shield place in the timeline. The order of the plot means little for the actual stories for each game though. Hence I would not recommend playing them in order of the plot, but rather play them in the chronological order of game release e.g. Red & Blue to Sword & Shield, starting with Fire Red in your case. Or alternatively start with Sword & Shield, as it's the most recently released game and hence more people are likely to be playing that currently than the other games - that helps for finding people for trades, raids etc.
