If my friend would share to my account and to HIS alt account at the same time and he plays from his alt where I play from my main account, can we play at the same time over a Steam account?

No. Only one person can use a given shared library at a time. If it's shared with multiple people, only one of them may use it at a time.

No, a shared library may only be played by one user at a time including the owner and even if they want to play different games.

The hard limit is currently 255. We never tested it for more than 12 people on local network so different kind of problems might arise when lot of people play. Edit: Since 0.14 the limit has been increased to 65535 and it might actually be possible to get that number of players online with exceptionally good network connection.

The last signficant update to the iOS Steam app was in 2015. Embedded images are a relatively new feature in Steam Chat -- they were added as part of the July 2018 Chat Update -- so the Steam app does not support this feature. There is, however, a separate Steam Chat app which does support this functionality. Why this wasn't made part of the other Steam app is a question that I don't have an answer to.

All source games use the same algorythm of discovering servers: the game asks valve's masterserver for a server list, receiving a list of IP addresses the game now sends an A2S_INFO UDP packet to each server in a list, at a maximum rate of 250-5000 pings per minute. every servers responds with an UDP response packet containing some useful information Why this happens Most likely, your internet connection have issues with UDP packets: packet loss, extreme delaying, restrictive filter, etc etc. - packets between you and internet servers lost.. somehow. What you can do 1. Decrease server query rate Rate is guessed by steam client, but it's also configurable in Settings -> In-game -> In-Game Server browser: Max pings / minute 2. Hit refresh servers button again With my 3G connection it takes multiple clicks, and from 5 to 30 seconds before servers in TF2 client start to appear. 3. Troubleshoot network issues Anti-virus, firewall or other software may interfere, try disabling it. Bad hardware (notably your router) can interfere - try connecting to internet directly (if your pc connected to isp through router) If none helps, you can call your ISP's customer support.

Global option You can now allow downloads during any gameplay from the downloads settings: Per game option You can now tell Steam to continue downloading updates/games while playing games from your games' properties. Note that this setting is not available for non-steam games, which will always use the global setting.

I'm thinking of getting him a Steam Box Your plan won't work because there is no longer any Steam Machine hardware for sale. Most manufacturers discontinued or stepped away from their Steam Machine hardware by late 2016; at this point, I don't think anyone is building hardware with the specific intention of making it run SteamOS anymore, and it's not clear if Valve has any plans with it either. Regardless, as others have mentioned, PlanetSide 2 is not available for Linux (which is what SteamOS is), and the developers explicitly stated in 2012 that they didn't plan on a Linux release. Given that PlanetSide 2 is now nearly 7 years old (and that the Mac port promised in that article never materialized), it seems highly unlikely that a Linux port would be added.

Some people point out that if Steam is ever disbanded, you lose access to all the games you bought from them. If you will still have the physical copies of the games, it wouldn't be an issue. Note that some games require Steam anyway, so with those games the physical media won't help. If you aren't sentimental about the box, manuals etc., you can throw those away and just keep the DVDs in some designated disk holder - those are very efficiently packed together, I don't really see an issue with space or weight. If you ever find yourself without Internet access for a prolonged period of time (for instance, if you join a shipping company), single-player games can still be installed from their boxes. If you trust Steam, have permanent Internet and don't care about your game boxes, then no, there isn't anything good to do with them. If you already have an eBay account you can offer the game boxes there (just don't provide the serial numbers), other than that I wouldn't bother. If you feel your game will become a classic later on you can hold on to the manuals and sell them again in 15 years for collectors

You also have to take into account the fact that since the "Total playtime" feature has been introduce about two years ago, it didn't count all the hours you've been playing before. According to this article, gameplay hours are recording since March 2009 exactly. For instance, I've been playing CS 1.6 A LOT several years ago, and I only have something like 30 hours "on record" (because I don't play it anymore). The stats seem to have started their count about a year ago, so it's not all-all-time, but it's a welcome addition nonetheless. You'll have to host a game on your computer in order to play together with your mom. There are two ways of going about this: (easier) You can open any of your single-player games, pause the game, and click "Open to LAN." This will allow people on your local network to join your world. You can choose whether new players will start in Survival or Creative, as well as choose to enable/disable cheats. When you exit your world, the world is closed to LAN again, and players cannot connect to it. Anyone still in it will be kicked automatically. If you do this option, you must re-open it to LAN every time you load your save file when you want someone to connect. (more difficult) You can start your own server. This is still pretty secure, as you need the server's unique IP in order to connect to it. Thus, you can create your own server (which is hosted on your computer), give your mom the IP, and both of you can play on that together. I don't have any experience creating servers, I tried making one, and it's a fairly difficult process without a good guide. If it's just you and your mom playing, I'd say go option 1. It's much easier to start a single-player match and open it up to LAN every time you want to play together. Hope this helped.

It sounds like your savegame is corrupt. The only solution to that, is to restore a previous savegame. You'll lose some progress, but it's still better than to lose everything. If you're playing on Windows and have enabled OneDrive's Folder Backup feature before your savegame got corrupted, you can easily restore a previous version of your savegame. Each version should have a timestamp to help you identify a version that is uncorrupted. You can find your savegame in: OneDrive\Documents\My Games\Terraria If you don't use OneDrive (you're not on Windows or don't want to use OneDrive), you'll need to restore your savegame from a backup instead. Obviously, this is only possible if you have made at least one backup before your savegame got corrupted. If you don't have a backup, then I strongly recommend you consider making one to avoid a situation like this in the future. Both Windows and macOS can make hourly automatic backups. Windows 10 has File History, while macOS has Time Machine.

The games have a similar premise, but there are some differences. The Mac/ios game is a F2P game with advertising. The steam game is a paid product. The gameplay has a lot of similarities but some divergent features as noted by Timmy. In terms of intellectual property, the companies involved are intertwined. Playway SA and Games Incubator are listed as creators of the Steam version, and Digital Melody the ios/mac version. All three companies are involved together, with Playway investing in other "Games Incubator" titles. One developer at Games Incubator tweets about both games.

It depends on the mods- Some mods are client-side only, and can be used without others needing them. An example of this would be minimap mods such as Zan's or Rei's, UI mods such as NEI/TMI, or shader mods. These mods don't add any new blocks or anything that your friend will be able to see- They simply change things on your client. Generally, if a mod adds new blocks or entities (such as tools or monsters) then it will only work if both you and your friend have it installed. Other than that, a lot of mods will still work without your friend needing to install them too.

1. Is there any way to reset the Terraria achievements? Yes, and no. While steam currently has implemented no official method i which to reset achievements (and it is unlikely they ever will), it is possible to use external mods to reset your achievements. One problem that may arise is the likelihood of your account getting VAC Banned by resetting your achievements. I do not believe that this problem is unfounded and I recommend that you just resign to the fact that as of right now, resetting your achievements in steam legitimately is simply not a possibility. And alternate method however, is to set up a new steam account and play from there. 2. What is a good way to farm steam trading cards in Terraria? I would first like you to consult this website to get a better understanding of how Steam Trading Cards work. Simply put, you are not able to "farm" steam trading cards. Instead, you are able to get a certain amount of cards by simply playing the game, through the opening of booster packs or by trading with other members of the community. Most games will drop a number of cards equal to about half the number of cards in that game's set of cards. For example, Half-Life 2 has 8 cards in its set, you can receive 4 card drops by playing it. You'll need to collect the other half of the set from other community members. So how can you get steam trading cards? You can get trading cards simply by playing one of the participating games. As you play, you'll occasionally receive trading card drops which will be placed in your Steam Inventory. Another viable method is by getting Booster Packs. Essentially, these booster packs contain trading cards. Once you have received all of your card drops, you become eligible for a booster pack, which is a set of 3 trading cards that may include both basic and foil cards. Booster packs are granted randomly to eligible users as more badges are crafted by members of the community. Make sure you log in to Steam each week to maintain eligibility. Once eligible, your Steam Level increases your rate of receiving a booster pack drop: Level 10: +20% increase in your drop rate Level 20: +40% increase in your drop rate Level 30: +60% increase in your drop rate Level 40: +80% increase in your drop rate Level 50: +100% increase in your drop rate (i.e. the rate has doubled) Etc. AMD is notorious for its problematic Linux drivers. It really supports Linux poorly. If you want to play on Linux you really need a Intel system. At the very least you are stuck on your current version of Ubuntu. If you upgrade you have the very real possibility that the new update will have no drivers for the chipset.

It appears that you do indeed need DLCs to complete all the achievements for Borderlands 3. Taking a look at the steam achievements here we can see a total of 52 achievements being listed. When comparing to the base game we can see that this is 7 achievements above the base game amount. Having a deeper look it appears 7 the extra achievements come from Add-on: Moxxi's Heist of the Handsome Jackpot. The achievements added from the DLC: A Proper Hand-Off Firebug Killer Look Scovillain Shoe Money Tonight Don't Be a Stranger Who Collects The Collector? I would, however, note you can "complete" the game without the DLC, these are just extra side stuff that doesn't impact the main story.
