Do Chain Notes count as multiple notes?

Beat Saber 1.20 added Chain Notes which are made up of multiple small note blocks. When looking at the notes per second for a track on the song selection screen, does a Chain Note count as a single note or multiple notes?

If you're struggling with groups of enemies then there are a number of options: Don't be afraid to ignore the combat completely. There are very few encounters that are actually necessary, most can be avoided by sneaking around them or taking an alternative path. Worst case scenario just run straight through them, monsters only tend to follow for a short time, particularly if you can break line of sight. Pick them off one by one if possible. This can be tricky as many groups will alert other members, so you have to kill them quickly. Bombs and arrows can both do a lot of damage with out actually making enemies aware of your presence. I have killed many enemies by raining bombs down on them from a height (be aware though that even non bow armed enemies have ranged attacks and will throw rocks at you if they do spot you) Edit: As mentioned by Batophobia in the comments you should also make sure to use the environment to good effect. Puddles of water can be exploited with Lightning Arrows, grass can be set fire to, boulders can be pushed on to enemies and metal objects can be swung around. SGR's tip is a good one for group combat. Get a good two handed weapon and start charging an attack as the enemies run towards you, if you time it right you should be swinging your weapon around wildly by the time they reach you and you can decimate a group pretty quickly. Alternatively get a good spear and back away while using the spears reach to take out the closest enemies until the group has been thinned a little. Always watch out for archers. Two or more archers plus some melee enemies can cause you a lot of trouble. If you can sneak in and kill any archers first (or make a beeline for them and take them out first) this can really improve your chances. Do some more Shrines and get some more heart containers. Try and find some better weapons or improve your armour. I struggled a bit with combat at first but with better armour and weapons and a little practice I rarely get in trouble at all. Make use of cooking to create food and elixirs. You can always eat from the menu, so if you are reduced to low health you can eat to heal yourself (as long as you have prepared items, some raw foods heal but not as much as cooked foods). You can also cook food to provide many different bonuses, like extra attack or defence. As Batophobia mentioned in the comments a bonus hearts meal is particularly useful because it also fully heals you.

This is a pretty standard mechanic in fighting games. Each hit in a combo scales down the damage of all future hits in the combo. This mechanic is in place for a few reasons. Primarily, it dissuades the use of infinite combos (if they even can exist in the game), and keeping shorter, hard-hitting combos more lucrative allows your opponent to get back into the game faster and start playing again. Therefore, throwing in an extra weak hit early in the combo is almost always a bad idea, because the extra damage you get from it isn't going to overcome the lost damage on later hits from the scaling down. A natural evolution in gameplay from this mechanic is what's called a "reset". A reset is where you intentionally end your combo, potentially earlier than you might have normally, and use a mixup to try to trick your opponent into letting you start a new combo. This resets the scaling and you will hit for full damage again on the first hit, subject to scaling again. A character who makes frequent use of mixup resets is known as a "vortex" character.

No, the leaderboards are not cross platform on Beat Saber as looks like each console has different leaderboard. Rift/Quest/Steam/etc users will have different leaderboards. There's https://teddit.net/r/oculus/comments/8gi6ea/beat_saber_leaderboards_the_same_over_steam_and/ that tests this out and looks to be the case.

This is information gathered from the wiki as well as (unfortunate) personal experience. Deaths that do not end hardcore Deaths don't end hardcore if they are counted as "safe death" in the regular game. Examples include: PvP portals near the Fist of Guthix Falling off the pathway in Demon Slayer Dying to Agoroth or a Crassian warrior during A Shadow Over Ashdale Dungeoneering deaths Getting hit with a dragonkin fireball in Missing, Presumed Death Dying in the mansion in Broken Home Players who choose to activate Hardcore Ironman Mode, in addition, have only one life. As soon as they die, their account is permanently locked, unless they have purchased the ability to convert to a regular Ironman account upon death, namely the Jar of divine light. There is also an option to buy an extra life (divine coin) at total levels 1000 and 1600 for 100,000 and 10,000,000 coins, respectively. This is so that people who have already progressed far into the game are able to avoid losing their accounts from lag, bugs, etc.

A

No, there cannot be more than one Spiny (Blue) Shell held by players at any given time. This mechanic was apparently introduced in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and has not been changed since. From the Spiny Shell wiki page: Additionally, once a player holds a Spiny Shell, other racers cannot receive another shell until the player has used it and hit the target. This rule is kept for later games as well.

The base version of Beat Saber does not support cross-buy. You will need to buy the game again if you want to play the standalone version on the Oculus Quest. However, any DLC song packs bought through the Oculus Store will be available on the Quest via cross-buy. We decided not to do cross-buy for the base game because Quest is a new platform and porting the game took a significant amount of time. I can only speak from my personal experience, but I have observed that kills and assists are the only sources of xp counted for weapons. Other experience (spot bonus, etc) seems to go towards leveling the class you are on.

Beat Saber updates frequently break compatibility with mods. Luckily for you, Saber Factory was https://github.com/ToniMacaroni/SaberFactory/releases/tag/2.5.1 to work with Beat Saber 1.20. It hasn't been uploaded to https://beatmods.com/#/ yet, so it won't appear in https://github.com/Assistant/ModAssistant/releases/latest . You'll need to manually download and install the mod to your Plugins folder. This is incredibly tricky to pull off and from what I hear, and pretty much impossible to do without lots of Magic Mirror items on hand. Do not fight a monster that uses locks! You have to have a good idea of your own damage output and the damage output of your opponent so you know what kinds of hits you can take and what ones you'll want to take care of and match to delete. You don't want to pick a monster that's too easy either, as you'll end up wiping the floor with them before you can make all your matches. Apparently in Stage 6, if you fight against the level 20 Paleofungus, you have a good chance, according to this link. I remembering reading that recommendation in other places back when I was looking for info on this, but I can't find sources at the moment. Hope this helps!

There is really only one major advantage to keeping a few multiples of mods. (I will begin with a note that rare mods can often times have some sort of demand, and--if worth the platinum--are probably better off sold). Like you mentioned, having some mods at various ranks can be useful. For example, maybe you can fit a max Vitality on one frame or a max Serration on a primary, but not on another. Having a few copies of staple mods are good. However, there is no advantage to keeping large numbers of mods that you don't need/can't sell for plat. You don't need 200 copies of redirection. These are best either sold for credits (not recommended), or broken down into Endo (recommended).

Instances of Fortify X (Where X is "Conjuration, Smithing, One-handed, etc.") stack if they're from separate items. You cannot use the "Double Enchantment" perk in the enchanting tree to double-enchant a single item with the same enchantment, twice. Unlike in Oblivion, stacking skills above 100 actually increases their effectiveness.

Looking around I do not see songs specifically made for the easy achievements, but I see multiple mentions of songs that I'm pretty sure are not of the official tracklist of beatsaber. https://www.reddit.com/r/beatsaber/comments/glcnus/what_is_the_best_song_i_can_install_to_get_the/ So I guess yes. You can get achievements from custom/modded songs.

On October 13, 2020 with the release of version v1.12.1 the player statistics were removed. From the release notes: Player statistics pane temporarily removed On January 21, 2021 version v1.13.2 was released which brought the player statistics back From the release notes: Brought back Player Statistics (including Online stats) into Help/How to Play screen.
