I seem to have seen one spot have it three times? But I'm not 100% sure.

According to the https://terraria.fandom.com/wiki/Gelatin_Crystal , it is a random chance for the Gelatin Crystal to spawn on Pearlstone or Pink Ice Blocks. There is a 2% chance that any crystal that spawns will turn into a Gelatin Crystal. It would seem you may be lucky in it respawning in the same place.

It is possible, but it requires external tools to do so. There are various inventory editors that let you change your player's name and appearance. And, of course, there are tools like TEdit that let you edit a world including the name. Changing the profile/world filename will not rename the world and those files are not in plain text so normal text editor will not do.

Hardmode ore generation doesn't work that way, it doesn't replace existing ore veins with the new hardmode ore deposits. Hardmode ore can definitely spawn in some placed blocks (I'm unsure about if it can spawn in Bricks, but player placed Stone, Ash, etc... work fine). The best way to think of the ore generation is that the new veins replace existing blocks (i.e. it cannot create new blocks where there are none), rather than existing types of blocks. If you were to dig up the entire world and just pop down one large deposit of ore, you'd get very little hardmode ore out of it, as there wouldn't be many places for that ore to spawn. I actually tested this out on an old world to be certain (I deleted all terrain in a hardmode world and then created a block about 128x128 of Gold Ore, stuck a Demon Altar on top of it then went in game and smashed it - almost no ore spawned), you'd end up with a tiny amount of hardmore ore, if any at all. Edit: Actually in my test world no ore spawned at all. Seems as though it doesn't overwrite existing ores, just 'junk' blocks like stone. Further edit: Ore does spawn when I use Ash blocks as a base instead of an ore, however it lags horribly while (presumably) it's trying to find valid locations to spawn the ores, and you don't get much of it when it does spawn.

This particular fix is just a minor patch to some hit-boxes and not a change for the physics engine which would be required to ultimately solve the flying item bugs that appear when VSync has been disabled. Clutter objects are objects that are placed in the game world without having any particular function other than to provide atmosphere. Examples of clutter objects are brooms, unreadable books, kitchenware etc. There is a list of them over at UESP. This fix just corrects the hit-boxes on some of these clutters objects that have been incorrect. Notice in the Flying Objects questions that essentially all items are sent flying out of control while this fix only corrects a small number of objects with no function.

If you're on the same LAN, you want to use your internal IP address, not your public one. When trying to find your IP address, it's common to check websites such as http://www.whatismyip.com/ which will display it for you. However, this IP address is the internet-facing one, and is only usable for connecting to users that aren't on the same LAN as you. To connect to other users on the same LAN, you need to use the IP address your router assigns you within the LAN itself. To find your local IP on Windows, first open the Command Prompt (one possible way to do this is to open the Run dialog box with Win+R and type "cmd"). In the command prompt, type the command "ipconfig". This will provide a number of pieces of information, of which you will want to find the entry for "IPv4 Address." Depending on your computer's setup, there may be more than one IPv4 Address. Given your router's IP address is in the format 192.168.x.x, you'll want the IPv4 address that follows the same format, which should be paired with the "Default Gateway" entry that matches your router's IP. Other possible formats exist, such as 10.x.x.x, but yours is the most common for home networks. Whoever is hosting the server should look up this address on the host computer, and then the other person (on the same LAN) should use that address to connect to the host computer. If you want to also include players from outside your LAN, they must still use the internet-facing IP address, as found on a website such as the one mentioned above.

Option 1: As soon as you spawn, look straight down and break the block below you. (yes, while on fire) This will change your spawn point to a few blocks away. If you spawn in the lava again, repeat. Do this enough times and hopefully you'll spawn in a safe place. Please note, that on SMP, you will automatically spawn at a random location in a spawn area. Option 2: You can also edit your save world in SMP. Download the Minecraft Server and place it in a folder on your desktop. Open it, let it generate a world, then close it. You've just created your own personal Minecraft server. Now go grab your single-player world files from the saves directory of your Minecraft folder and replace the world generated by your server (the files you'll be copying are the ones labelled data, DIM-1, level.dat, etc). Make a backup of these files as well, in case something goes wrong. Next, open the server_properties file of your new server (using a text editor like Notepad or Wordpad) and change gamemode from 0 to 1. You are now invincible, allowing you to make whatever changes you want to your world (like cleaning up your lava spill) without dying. To access your world via SMP, open Minecraft, select Multiplayer and then choose Direct Connect to 127.0.0.1. When you're satisfied with your changes, close the server and change gamemode back to 0. Open and close the server one final time to save this change (lest your world be stuck in Creative mode). Copy the world files back into your Minecraft folder. The changes you made through your SMP server will have saved, and your spawn area will be safe again.

As far as I know, there are no specific factors that influence rare creature spawning, so the answer is just "anywhere lots of base creatures spawn". Here's a list of creatures' affinities to areas of Aegrus: Drifters: Hunter's Grotto, right around the Lodge. Spores: Hunter's Grotto, Ardorton Station, Candlerakk's Crag open areas. Boroks: Hunter's Grotto west and south-east, use elevator, Ardorton station west. Skags: Scylla's Grove mid-south, Ardorton Station center. Scaylions: Scylla's Grove north and west tunnels, Ardorton Station north and east, southwest path of Candlerakk's Crag. Suggested farming areas would then be: Hunter's Grotto for spores, drifters, and boroks, Candlerakk's Crag for scaylions, and Scylla's Grove for skags. If farming for boroks, it may be effective to start at the Lodge, run through Scylla's Grove to Ardorton, reload there and head back.

As Flutteryshy mentions in the comments, you probably just missed the enchantment the first time. Enchantments are definitely added when you craft an item, where appropriate. Armor does not get enchantments; weapons and accessories do. This means that it's not a complete waste to find the same things in chests in the caves/sky islands/dungeons over and over because you can find superior enchantments and save gold (see below). The game will not auto-replace an equipped item. If you find a new copper Broadsword, it will simply go into available inventory space like anything else. Most items aren't worth re-crafting simply because there are higher-tier upgrades waiting. Re-crafting an iron broadsword if you get awful enchantments isn't a bad idea (if you are going down that road), but once you get beyond iron the expense to craft is typically too high to keep crafting things over and over. Fortunately, there is an NPC who can help with the latter (the Goblin Tinkerer). For your hard earned gold - "better" items are more expensive - he can re-roll the enchantments on an item. There are some restrictions; there are melee and ranged only enchantments for example. Eventually he can help you perfect your "gear of choice" though. It's generally not worth it to do this except on the very best gear, or the accessories you know you are going to be using a lot. Having something like an Obsidian Shield with +4 defense is gravy.

You can test for values of scoreboard objectives like this: Objective /execute @a[score__min=] Objective > some number /execute @a[score_=] You don't have to use /execute; any command will work, as long as you follow the target. Hope this helps!

I get that it randomly picks one of the lamps below the faulty one, and toggles the output depending on whether it's on or not, but is that all? Actually it will send signal with probability equal to Number of active lamps / Number of connected lamps excluding faulty one. If you have 3 active, one inactive and one faulty lamp, signal will be sent with 75% chance. What happens with lamps above the faulty one? Lamps above faulty one will not count: loop in source code breaks when it encounters faulty lamp. Are the faulty lamp and all of the normal lamps underneath it treated as a single entity? They are treated as part of same machine. Same thing as gate with only normal lamps. Does the gate type matter at all with faulty lamps? No, gate type does not matter.

There appear to be several bugs surrounding the EoW. Everything ranging from his head appearing separately, to him only attacking players who aren't in corruption...you name it. I found several forum threads, the most recent being this one (From Thursday, January 5th) with 2 people describing 2 different bugs. The OP of that thread mentions still getting the message though, which prompted someone else to say if the message appears, it is not the same bug as the multiplayer bug. the multiplayer summoning bug only introduces the noise. if you get the message - most likely he spawned and something made him despawn or you are experiencing a new type of bug. (Emphasis mine) We don't get the message, but AFAICT do get the noise, so it looks to me like we may be encountering "the multiplayer summoning bug". Additionally, James had a very good run spawning him over and over again in both singleplayer and multiplayer, so it would appear that if there is a cooldown timer, it's too small to be noticable, and definitely not what's affecting us now.

According to this link, a party has a random chance of naturally occurring at dawn, and no conditions need to be met for a party to be naturally hosted- but I'd guess you'd need at least one NPC in your world to act as the host for a party. Edit: I've tested the theory and have conformed that a party can naturally occur in a world without the need for a party machine. The world I used was a small, non-Expert mode pre-hardmode world. The only NCPs that had moved in were the guide, merchant, dye trader, arms dealer, demolitionist, nurse, painter, clothier, mechanic and dryad.

There are two points to remember that may seem contradictory: first, like Nicholas pointed out, you need to makes sure that your mobspawner is the only nonlit space in a pretty big area around you (I think the area's actually about 150x150 blocks), but second, you need a lot of empty space around. In other words, minecraft will choose places that have a lot of surface area (not volume) to spawn mobs in, so if you were to have a lot of open caves beneath your mobspawner, the game will flag that area as more likely to spawn mobs in. You just also have to make sure that it's all well-lit, then you've effectively tricked the game into flagging that area to spawn mobs in, but then conveniently your mobspawner is the only dark area where it can do so. I would recommend you take a look at this tutorial. You may not want that particular style of mobspawner, but it goes over the prerequisites of any good mobspawner quite nicely.

After taking a look at the source (as of V1.07) it seems that splash points do not count towards the forage points. Only a single splash point can exist in a location and they will never spawn on your farm. If a splash point is not present at a location it will attempt to spawn one by testing a random point on the map at about a 50% rate every time the game updates for the 10 minute interval. If a splash point exists it will have a 10% chance of being removed during the tick. Additionally it looks like if you are on the map that a splash point is spawning you should hear a water slosh sound play. The worm spots also do not add to the forage points. There is no hard limit on how many worm spots can spawn in a location. At the beginning of the day each map location is given several chances to spawn worm spots (this is done the same method which adds forage spots). The game will keep trying to add worm spots until it fails a check, with the likelihood of passing the check becoming less each round...during the winter ~10% chance is added at the end of each round with the result being the spots happening more frequently during that season. After passing the initial check a random spot is chosen and tested to see if it is suitable, a spot will only be added if it passes the tests.
