Which filesystem is required to move PS3 save data to USB harddrive?

The Blu-ray drive on my very old PS3 is broken, so I bought another one. I want to transfer my save data from the old one to the new one (and only them). I have a USB harddrive which I normally use for my PS4. I formatted it with exfat filesystem. It seems PS3 does not recognize it, although the harddrive is okay.

Which filesystem is required? Is really only vfat possible?

The PS3 only recognizes USB drives formatted in FAT32.

Are you feeling brave? You could try experimenting with mklink in Windows... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NTFS_symbolic_link http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-symlinks-in-windows-vista/ This could, however, cause Origin (or Steam, too) to wig-out and stop the game working due to copy protection issues. There's a 3rd party app around that uses symbolic links behind the scenes to let you change Steam's game data dir so hopefully it's feasible in this case too.

Nope, you're up the creek. Save game files are locked to the region of the disk (at least in the cases I've dealt with). You could try logging a support request with the developer to see if they can help you out. Some game saves are locked to region, others to the PSN account name, and I'

Creating a PSN account will not make you lose any data. I'm unaware of any way on the PS3 to store data online, but unless if you upload it somewhere all of your data is kept on the system (or any drive you attach to it if applicable), which means that 1: Any save data associated with that user will still be saved unto the console, and will not be affected by the PSN account. Anything you have saved on your console will still be accessible, if you beat a level on a game you'll not lose your progress, if you have a world on Minecraft you won't lose it. 2: The save data is not associated with the PSN account. If you delete it off the console it will be gone (unless if you have taken action to store it somewhere else). If you access the PSN account on a different user and/or different console, it will not be accessible unless if you transfer it using a portable storage device (such as an external hard drive or a simple USB flash drive). Remember, your PSN account and your user are 2 different things, you can have one without the other. A PSN account can be used on multiple users across different consoles, a user is only stored on one console at once. This also means that you can have the same PSN account used on both PS3 and PS4 (and any other devices that use the PlayStation Network).

Yes, as @Nzall said your best option would be to install Steam and Skyrim again on the new account. That's easy - the difficult part for you is getting the mods back. Firstly, check where the current Skyrim files are. Steam usually installs games into C:/Program Files (x86)/steam/steamapps/common/skyrim - if it is already there then I would rename the skyrim folder to skyrim-backup or something like that. Then install Steam and Skyrim, which will create a new skyrim folder and put the new files in there. Now for your mods; this depends on what mods you're using. The vast majority of Skyrim mods use the standard master/plugin/archive system present in most Bethesda RPG titles. So open the skyrim/data and skyrim-backup/data folders in separate windows - the new folder will be a lot emptier than the old one. In the old folder, select all (ctrl + A) then unselect (ctrl + click) the following files: skyrim.esm update.esm dawnguard.esm (if present) heathfires.esm (if present) dragonborn.esm (if present) HighResTexturePack01.esp (if present) HighResTexturePack02.esp (if present) HighResTexturePack01.esp (if present) skyrim-.bsa (where is a word, such as skyrim-animations.bsa - there will be a few of these) interface folder strings folder video folder Now that you have those unselected, copy the rest of the files into your new skyrim/data folder. Start the game using the launcher and click on "Data Files" in there (if that doesn't show, look at this post). Now select all of the files to enable all of the mods. Bear in mind you may have had some of these disabled previously but if your account was lost there's no way of knowing. You should now be able to play as before, with your mods. Some notes: The three folders not copied could contain mod specific files (though few mods use these folders). I told you to skip them as overwriting could cause problems with the new game installation. See how the game plays and if any text is incorrect or the UI looks wrong then check to see which files the new installation is missing from those three folders. If your user account was lost then your save were most likely lost too. If you (or the family friend) have a backup of the old documents folder then you could copy the documents/my games/skyrim/saves folder to the new one. If you were using a mod manager like Nexus Mod Manager or Mod Organiser they will both need to have the mods redownloaded. NMM will read the plugins but for actual mod management you'll need to download them again, unless you can find the old mod storage location which is usually something like C:/games/nexus mod manager/mods - this will save you from downloading them again.

The (now defunct) COD4 Board forums gave a few hints on determining your host: If you are the first person to enter an empty lobby, you are the host. Right when the match finishes loading and the countdown begins, press select and check the connections. If you have a 4 bar connection and everyone has red bars, and a little green plug icon next to their rank, that means they are connecting to you and you are the host. Now if only 2 or 3 of them have the little plug thing, you aren't the host. If you are the only person who has a 4 bar connection the whole match, you are the host. Other posts also said that it's basically the person with the most (4 or 5) bars in their connection.

We couldn't disable the exchange either but we just turned off our PSN. It really did help and our Sims 3 is a lot faster now. I think it will help you too.

Unfortunately, you can't do that directly off the PlayStation Network Store, since the buy option won't be available for games you own through PS+, only after your subscription has expired will that option be available again. However, you may be able to purchase the full games through third party sources. For example, GameStop offers download codes for PSN games that can be redeemed on the PSN Store. I assume that if you redeem a code for a game you only "own" through PS+, you'll own it permanently (you can check the game's information in the XMB and see if it has an expiration date). I cannot confirm this method 100% as I haven't tested it myself, so try at your own risk.

Quick battery lesson: Modern Li-Ion batteries work this way. They charge up to 98-99% of their power cells , disconnect briefly, discharge, then recharge and so on. This happens due to the internal circuitry in order to protect overcharging and damaging the cells. Usually, you can't see this process on indicators, but it's there. The no 1 enemy of Li-Ion batteries is extreme battery state (over or under charged) closely followed by too many recharge cycles and heat. Like all things, the circuits are not perfect and residual currents may still pass into your battery when it's in the "discharge" state. Some devices power themselves mostly from USB when they "recharge", like @Jeff Mercado said, but they still retain the "on off then on again" recharge behaviour. In your case, that's why the battery seems to recharge when the remote is connected to the PS3. I don't know if the PS3 stock firmware has any options regarding USB power supplying, but I think custom ones do. It could be worth checking the PS3 settings if anything about recharging appears.

In Persona 3 FES for PlayStation 2 the only save points regularly available are the ground floor of dorm and the lobby of the Tartarus. There are additional save points during special events like the trip to Yakushima but they are not regularly available.

Yes, your save data carries over. According to Nintendo Support: Where is game save data stored? On Nintendo Switch, game save data is stored on the console’s System Memory. This will not change whether downloadable software or software from a game card is being played. Game save data cannot be saved or copied to a microSD card. As to whether you can still access those saves when you buy the digital version: Can save data be used between physical and digital games on Nintendo Switch? Save data is stored in the System Memory, and for the most part, it is associated to the individual user. So long as the same user is selected on the console, the save data will not be impacted whether the software is played from a game card or downloaded from the Nintendo eShop. Note: It's possible your save data won't carry over if the digital copy is from a different region, such as Japan, EU, America, and so on. This is because (Source Can DLC for one region be used with the same software title from another region? DLC will work with games that are released for the same region as the DLC. You can identify the supported region by checking the game packaging or by going to the game's software menu options, under Software Information and then Support Information. While this applies only to DLC, it's possible it extends to save data as well.

It sounds like your PS3 overheated. Make sure that you are not stacking many things on top of your PS3 and that it has enough space to vent.

Look closely. Before you walk up the stairs to the ceremony, there's a flow of blood running around an obelisk. Notice that there's a figure of two red people standing upon each other (the hiding spot you mentioned). So get yourself completely red, and have the brothers act as the tribesmen's god. Hint: you can walk with the older brother while holding up the younger one.

this is Brianna Wu. I'm head of development at Giant Spacekat. We had so many requests to let you save Val that we're going to spell out what happens to her in our next patch. It will be possible to save her on girlfriend mode. That may or may not end up being a good choice. She will still be saved or not saved if you download the patch or not. You'll just see the outcome.

It is probably a wireless connector to this controller. The controller from photos is some kind of 3rd party hardware, so it is possible that it can't connect with PS3 like the original Dual Shock. This stick is the receiver of the wireless signal from the controller. It will be work as good as other 3rd party wired controller, which is also working by plug the cable into the USB port in PS3.

assuming you own a android Basically, all you need to do is: Sign into the email account you used to save the cloud saves, go into your Google Drive (with that email), and look for a folder named Terraria. Go into that folder and grab the files that end in .world (if you want your character, the file would end in .player). go to your file explorer (if your phone didnt come with one, download one from google play store) and go to android/data/com.and.games505.Terraria/OldSaves/Worlds and place your world file. (android/data/com.and.games505.Terraria/OldSaves/player for your .player file.) Now the world (and player) should show up in the game. i know this is off topic, but if you have a PC player file or world file that are 1.3.0, you can place those into android/data/com.and.games505.Terraria/saves/World or android/data/com.and.games505.Terraria/saves/player
