Is it possible to smooth dirt/clay walls?

I know that you can smooth stone walls:

But my fortress is in a clay/dirt layer, and i would like to smooth the walls

You can't. Clay and dirt can't be improved at all, except by digging them out and building stone block walls in their place. For this reason, clay/dirt layers should generally be reserved for underground farms (since they don't require irrigation), and the real fortress should be built below them, in true dwarfish stone.

Not in the original game. There are several mods that let you melt down weapons, armor, etc. such as Vals Crafting Meltdown Alpha - Melting Smelting and Fletchin. Up to you to decide if you want to play with a third party mod. If you haven't tried mods yet, make sure to backup your saves before doing so! I haven't had any mod break my saves yet, but I have had warnings in the game about "objects no longer available" and such. As mods can add new objects and entities in the game world, it can potentially create a save that you won't be able to load after removing the mods. So keep that in mind.

Well, it's kind of tough. First, meditate upon the Constructions page on the magmawiki. This may explain some other problems you'll encounter soon. Your specific problem is caused by having no stairs on the second level of your tower. Remember that ordinary dug stairs only work if you have a "down stair" directly above an "up stair". Constructed stairs work the same way. The only square your dwarves can reach is the one directly above the stairway. In this square, on the second level, you need to b-Construct a down stairway or an xup-down stairway. After this your dwarves will be able to get to the top of the first-level walls (which come with built-in floors above them; do not build more floors on top of them because it will prevent you building walls instead). I recommend building a floor on the interior of your tower before extending the walls upward, and remember to build the corners first.

I guess there is only one (hard) way to come back to Emerald Isle: Kill the dragon on Emerald Isle. Hope to loot a Lloyd’s Beacon scroll. (I guess that this is the English name; it’s Leuchtfeuer in German) Cast it somewhere on Emerald Isle. Leave the island. Now you can cast Lloyd’s Beacon to get back to Emerald Isle (but note that it doesn’t last very long if unskilled). However, you can learn Bow also in Tularean Forest and in Avlee.

This looks to be the metal wall, which is learned from the "Metal Building Set" plans: https://fallout.gamepedia.com/Plan:_Metal_Building_Set The plans appear to be occasionally for sale from either Grahm (if you're lucky enough to find him), or the faction vendor in Watoga.

There are a number of factors that will affect whether your dwarves will collect corpses and move them to a refuse pile. In this specific case the problem is probably that the corpse has been marked as forbidden. This will prevent the haul job being created so no dwarves will move it. For future visitors to this question, there are some other common causes for this including: Are your dwarves too busy? The hauling job is quite low priority, so if there is a lot going on in your fortress you may find that your dwarves do not haul corpses to you (hopefully) outdoors refuse pile. If you've just been attacked and sustained heavy casualties and want to prevent miasma in your fortress, it may be worth temporarily disabling some dwarves other labours so that they get to the job of cleaning your fortress. Is there any space in your refuse pile? These have a tendency to fill up quickly (especially if vermin remains are being collected). It might be worth considering having a refuse pile that just accepts corpses to stop it from filling up too quickly.

Using the build construction menu (b > C), you can build ramps and stairs. You can build a down stair on the level where your dwarves can access, build up/down stairs below each other until you reach the bottom, then an up stair at the floor. what is the capacity of a leather quiver ? Certainly not 15; all metal bolts made in the fortress have a size of 25 (no data on bone and wood bolts, as I don't bother with them). I'm unsure if a max really exists, as there's no data that I could find online; more science is required. What I've seen from personal observation: Migrant hunters have arrived with stacks larger than 25. The largest stack I've ever seen is 47. Hunters and military marksdwarves reliably pick up the ammo assigned to them, sometimes over the constraints in the military > ammo screen (ie: a squad has 250 bolts assigned, each soldier gets 25, some have no issues picking 30 or more) Also, to reference a comment, picking bolts is not restricted to a single stack: quivers will cheerfully be filled with full stacks, incomplete stacks, and 'stacks' of single bolts which have been fired and retrieved, often all at the same time. [EDIT] Science incoming: I increased a squad's assigned bolts to 50 per dwarf; they were picked with no difficulties. Higher numbers pending. [EDIT#2] There seems to be a max capacity for leather quivers in fortress mode: 50. After one and a half in-game year with bolts set to 100 per dwarf, none were seen to pick up more than that number. can a hunter/marksdwarf hold more number of quivers to maximise the amount of the bolts he can hold ? No hunter or marksdorf has ever picked more than one quiver, and quivers can't be directly assigned to marksdorfs in the military screen (it comes with the posting, basically), so the answer would be no. Adventure mode can use multiple quivers, but that's likely not relevant to fortress mode.

The Witch Doctor has several ways to get Zombie dogs even if they don't have the "Summon Zombie Dogs" Skill. The limit of 3 (or 4, with the talent) is just a built-in property of the class. It doesn't matter how you get them, but the maximum is 3+1 dogs every way you look at it.

Yes and no. In Fortress mode (the most common mode of the game) you can start where ever you want, barring water and other people already living there (cities, towers, etc.). You can also die very very quickly on some of those places. If you then abandon that fort you can start a new one in the same world at a different position. However each fort has a limited space to play in (otherwise you'd get no FPS) In adventurer mode you could, conceivably, walk from any point to another point, it will however take a long time (and probably get you killed in the process, by you I also mean you the player, by old age, Dwarf Fortress can create some very large worlds).

First, make sure your dwarves' labor preferences allow them to work those jobs. Second, make sure you have the tools for those jobs. (It's hard to chop trees without an axe) Third, make sure your lazy dwarves aren't new immigrants. (New immigrants are lazy) If after all that, you still need busywork, some good busy work includes: Engraving - smoothed/engraved rooms make dwarves happy! Military training - a trained dwarf is much more likely to survive than untrained militia Herbalism - if your map is safe, gather more plants and seeds to trade, cook, or brew booze with. Cooking - turn boring food into lavish meals! Long-term projects to utilize your work force might include: Constructing a megaproject. Starting up a new industry.

If I buy a hangar (if this is even possible) can I store it there? There are no hangars in GTA Online, unlike GTA V's Single Player Mode. And is this the same for all helicopters and planes? Yes, and not just helicopters and planes, it applies to watercraft and some other big vehicles too, including but not limited to buses and tank. Here is the list of all vehicles that are delivered by Pegasus.

On the xenonauts.wikia.com it says, on the Predator armor page: Soldiers using it do not level up strength, most likely due to how the armour buffs the unit's strength stat to 100.

You can get candy from: Catching (doubled if you use a Pinap Berry) 3 candy - first-tier Pokemon 5 candy - middle evolution Pokemon 10 candy - final evolution Pokemon Transferring - 1 candy for each transfer. Hatching 2km Egg - ~10 Candy 5km Egg - ~20 Candy 10km Egg - ~30 Candy Buddy Pokemon - 1 candy per milestone (with a small chance to receive 2 or more) In order to have exactly 1 candy, you will have to have spent candy upgrading or evolving Mareep/Flaaffy, leaving you with 1 or 0 candy. If left with 0 candy, you will then have had to either used a Mareep evolution as a buddy Pokemon, or transferred one Mareep or Flaaffy in order to go up to 1 candy. This reddit thread describes a couple of other folks who encountered similar situations: https://www.reddit.com/r/dwarffortress/comments/21mjsp/cleaning_up_a_forest_fire/ Judging from the experiences in the thread, a small area containing ashes will recover quickly, 5 years or so. The grass and other growth around it seems to help. A large area of ashes will take longer, on the order of 20 - 30 years. This process can be sped up by massive dwarven labor investment, as so many things can. Building over ashes tiles with a floor and then destroying the floor should remove the ashes.
