Break-in protection



  • Never developed a game, interested in a question like this, let's say there's a client of the game where there's a radiator who shoots at a 1-second shot at a speed, if by means of a program (e.g. hlapex) catches a bag that's responsible for the shooting, and sends it every 0.1 the radiator gets 10 shots per second? So the server needs to be checked when the last shot was fired and if the next shot was too fast, then block that shot? Or I don't understand anything and the guns don't go? Can someone explain?



  • That's right. Count the time between the requests. Block if the shooters come at less time than allowed.
