Filling in memory

  • There's a big file with a two-bed. The whole body is full of memory, I don't think it's worth it. Frequently need data pieces from different parts of the mass. How do you want to do that?

There's a way to hold it. fstream at all times open and selected using data seekg()♪ Will the entire file be stored in that case?

  • File needs to be displayed for operational memory (mmap in unix, CreateFileMapping in Windows). When approaching him, the DS will pull the right pieces from the disc itself (and in the best possible way). In the event that physical memory is missing, the DS will throw these pages out of it (which will not take much time) and will not be able to plug them into the tray file for a long painful time.
