GWT + Spring: Can they be friends with a client?

  • Good afternoon. Added Spring support to his GWT-annex. And he broke up. The compilator fights scary:

No source code is available for type org.springframework.context.ApplicationContext; did you forget to inherit a required module?
No source code is available for type org.springframework.context.support.ClassPathXmlApplicationContext; did you forget to inherit a required module?

Rapid Google, you understand that Spring's client can't be implemented! The whole project is under attack if I don't think about it.

People, tell me, if you'd better put a reference to the specimen where you're out of this position,

    Thank you very much.

  • Spring in GWT cannot be directly used. Like most other libraries that were not specifically taken care of.

For example, where a client comes from ClassPathXmlApplicationContextif the final performing artifact is JavaScript in the browser. There's no CLASSPATH, no idea about your Spring Context.

The exit is to properly design the annex, separate the client and server responsibilities.

PS. If you just need Dependency Injection on the client, that's another question. You can try Gin/Guice.
