composer error in adding github

I'm trying to composer.json set up. config github-oauth.github.com

1♪ If I command the command as indicated in the official documentation https://getcomposer.org/doc/articles/troubleshooting.md

composer config -g github-oauth.github.com

Makes a mistake of syntaxis.

composer config -g github-oauth.github.com my_tochen

If the team comes through, it's not going to happen, even if you do the team,

composer install

composer update

3♪ If I write this:

composer config github-oauth.github.com my_tex

That creates a file. auth.jsonwhere the token is recorded.

Question: Tell me why it doesn't work as it's written in the official documentation, that's:

composer config -g github-oauth.github.com <мой_токен>
   или
composer config -g github-oauth.github.com мой_токен

The documentation lists the teams for the globally installed composer, indicating the parameter -g In the team.

The arrows don't have to be injected, they mean the parameter that needs to be replaced, so the team must look like:

composer config -g github-oauth.github.com abc543785qwerwe
