Lost crontab records

  • Recently, there's been a miraculous breakdown of the crontab records, the first time I thought that some serious update had taken place and the records got lost, but it happened the second time, tell me where to dig at all or not very well on the combat server. Linux Debian assignments 7

There's an option on the network that's because there's a gap checking instead of the tabs.

    Record update

The answer was quite simple: missed and instead. crontab -e wrote a letter. crontab -r

  • I don't know where to dig.

    searches (short case)

    • Your error/neglect.

    • error/neglect of your colleagues

    • software from " left " sources ( " official websites " , etc.)

    • burglary (includes leakage/coupling of passwords, exploitation of some [not] known vulnerability of any programme, etc.)

    very general and superficial recommendations:

    • Examine the logs prior to change of file
    • review of programme withdrawal last (details) $ man last)
    • Checking of control amounts of files in packages (package) http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/hardy/ru/man1/debsums.1.html )
    • " File tracking " using the mechanism inotify (e.g. by https://packages.debian.org/ru/sid/incron )
