Period of double

  • Like a given double Determine if his decimal submission has a period!=0?

  • You can't keep periodic drabs in double, stop.
Double is stored with two whole numbers f and eso the number is equal.

    (1+f*2^-52)*2^(e-1023)

    There's no sign of periodicity.

When the periodic drab is double, it's rounded to non-recurrent.
If 0.3333 is doubled, it is 0.3333(0). It could have been originally 0.3333(3), or 0.3333(2), or 0.3333(1), or 0.333,000(123), but you'll never know that, the periodic part is irrevocably lost.
