Do you need to know Java EE to be a cooler Spring developer?

  • I'm studying Spring, and when I read all the materials or watch videos, there's a phrasing sometimes. Java EE
And I think maybe we should study it. Java EEto have more in-depth and enhanced knowledge Spring Or is it gonna be a waste of time?

    What do you say?

  • I think Spring and Spring Boot are some modern alternative, or a fresh look at what kind of fraimvort is to install applications.

I mean, historically, Java EE emerged first. It was a pretty beast-brained frimevork, and it also did not meet the requirements of web applications.

And when Spring Boot showed up and developed enough, it meant that enterprise-level applications could now be developed in a much simpler and natural way for the web.

So your question is quite philosophical: on the one hand, the knowledge of the two Framworths is, of course, a plus. For example, you can participate in the migration projects of the old Java EE applications on Spring Boot.

On the other hand, the development of Java EE is a lot of work, and you're still gonna have to choose the fremvort that you're gonna learn first.

And after that second fremouth, it will be easier to study: analogy, and you will learn how to deal with what you already know (in the first fraimvor).

I'd study Spring Boot first, and then make a more informed decision about Java EE.
