Is it possible to revert Hardmode? I tried searching through the settings in creating a character and character settings.

No. Hardmode, once activated in a world by killing the Wall of Flesh is irreversible. It is only in that world, however, so going to a non-Hardmode world to get powerful enough loot to survive is good idea.

EDIT:

If you are refering to a Hardcore character, that is also irreversible.

I did a quick search, and found that somebody had asked the same question on Reddit not 10 hours ago. There have been three solutions offered, though I can not personally confirm if they work. The 'R' Key is the suggested key binding to exit the cart. If this is, in fact, the default key binding, any custom key mapping could make this unreliable. That said, it is the only suggestion that has up votes, and others have said the same, so I would expect this to be reliable. Grappling Hook is a method one user suggests. I assume they ran in to the same issue, and resolved that using the grappling hook was a more efficient way of getting out then looking up the correct function. "Cancelling the Buff" seems like the most reliable way, in that it does not require a particular item, or presume any default key mapping. Simply look to the top-left of the screen, where you should see a list of your active buffs and de-buffs. One of the active buffs is the mine cart. Right-click on it to cancel the buff, and exit the mine cart.

No. The answer is No. The VC games on the Wii U can not access the save game data of VC games within the Wii-mode environment and vice versa. The VC game save data for games in Wii-mode can only be accessed by the VC games in Wii-mode. So you'll need to restart your saves from scratch when you play the new Wii U VC copy.

Unless you got an Enchanted Sword from it (which is not possible), it wasn't an enchanted sword shrine, but just the generic "sword in stone" breakable object.

Next, you'll need to kill the Wall of Flesh in the Underworld. Kill a Voodoo Demon to take its Guide Voodoo Doll. When you're ready, cast it into the lava to kill your guide and summon the Wall. My favorite strategy is to use a full set of Meteor Armor and the Space Gun, as the Meteor Armor's set bonus is unlimited ammo for the Space Gun. You'll need a large platform and if you really want to ensure victory, make a house with a bed in the exact center of the world and set your spawn there, in case you die, so you can run back down the platform and keep the fight going. It's normally available via the "New Game" option. In Ex Mode you do not continue the game as such, but start really from zero with all he stuff you gained in your normal playthrough.

Players in adventure mode are capable of dealing and taking damage normally. Adventure mode only prevents players from placing and destroying blocks.

All they do are change the colors of your armor and clothes. This can be helpful if you're in PVP and going for a team look, if you want a certain color scheme, or don't want to run around in, say, pink armor, for example.

I've researched a bit and couldn't find any sources that stated there must be at least one hive. However most people claim to have found at least one per underground jungle, with a strong chance of there being more. There is approximately 3/5/7 hives in an underground jungle (depending on world size). Note that bee hives (and honey) were added in v1.2 so if you are running an earlier version you will not be able to find any.

In the PC version of Terraria, the only way to manually start a solar eclipse is by crafting and using a solar tablet. This item is only available on PC, so unfortunately for mobile you are not able to intentionally start a solar eclipse. You'll have to wait until one happens naturally. They only start to happen (with a 5% chance each day) after beating at least one mechanical boss.

The Terraria wiki's Slime Staff page states: An easy way to get this staff is to use Slime Statues, with a thin layer of lava. The Slime Staff is only dropped by Slimes and Slimed Zombies, with a low 0.01% drop rate. With this in mind, it may take time, but the Staff should eventually be found by using the aforementioned Statue method.

Starbound is from a different developer, only @Tiyuri worked on both games. Starbound is quite similar to Terraria, but there are a few key differences such as races and the fact that the world doesn't end, it wraps around (planets are round, you can walk in one direction and end up where you started). Starbound is not a sequel, but many people call it a spiritual successor to Terraria. The gameplay is similar, and the key differences come from Starbound's questing, spaceships and the ability to travel between planets within the game. This is extremely useful for public multiplayer servers, who don't need to worry about players stealing from others anymore and most random people are unlikely to even see each other by chance. Other than that, most mechanics are just the same old polished up a bit with a new look.

Yes, the Solar Eclipse is there. The Solar Eclipse was introduced in the PC 1.2 update. If we take a look at the Mobile Version History, we can see the latest update: 1.2 Update (1.2.1 PC equivalent) Since it is equivelant to the PC 1.2.1 patch, that means that the Solar Eclipse has been added.

According to the Terraria wiki, all maps in Terraria mobile are the same size as small worlds on PC. This is 4200 blocks wide by 1200 blocks tall.

Set PurgeCacheDays to 0 and it will never be cleared, there is no size limit. If you want more fine-grained control, what you want is a cache manager, also called converter or extractor. This also allows you to host games with downloaded files (sometimes, success rate varies), if memory serves me right this is not possible with cached files. A cache manager copies the downloaded files from the /Cache/ folder to the appropriate sub-folders. Usually you have to chose which files you want to keep manually, some of them allow certain amounts of automation. I think I personally used UT2004Mi, the official page of which seems to be gone, but Google still lists quite a few downloads.
