Can commendations offset reports in Dota 2?

In one of my Dota games, the entire team was threatening to report a player who was intentionally feeding courier and killing himself.

That player was claiming since he has lots of commendations, they offset reports.

Is that true?

No, that is not true. Reports work the same way no matter the amount of commendations a player may have.

You can really only store one car there safely. Otherwise they tend to glitch very badly. If the car disappears from your garage, its gone for good, and it disappeared because of a glitch. Cars only go to the impound if you've abandoned them outside. The impound doesn't clean up glitches.

The console command you are using is for all pick game mode.dota_force_gamemode 2 . If you want to play captain's mode change the value 2 to 4. Foreword: I am focusing on DotA 2 since i stopped playing DotA 1 for quite a while now. Offensive Stuns will hold Morphling in place but wont interfere with his morph ability in any way. Even Void's Chronosphere cannot stop his health gain. Therefore you need a silence whether its an ability or an item to counter Morphling. Important sidenote: Mantastyle does remove Orchid silence. Naix with Orchid can be good because even if Morphling morphed into strength Naixwill deal more damage. Clinkz with Orchid works well too because of his burst damage. Silencer is very good because his Ultimate is not a target spell and global giving your team the opportunity to counter Morphling anytime. (thanks to Decency for mentioning those 2 in his answer): Ancient Apparation is another great pick vs Morphling because it prevents all kinds of healing including those from skills or items. Lion's Mana Drain and Hex can destroy an illusion immediately. Combined with his long disable overall and his nuke he can be a threat at all times especially with Blink Dagger. Defensive To protect yourself against the enormous nuke of an Ethereal Blade-Morphling you should buy magic armor and a Mekansm. (Chen's Hand of God can be a substitute for Mekansm. But since you need to heal yourself quickly i would not rely on another players reaction. Having both is even better) Furthermore BKB and spells like Repel help a lot. Since EB-Morphling needs as much agility as possible to nuke hard he wont have much HP while nuking. This opens a window for a Blademail that can hit Morphling hard and enables the possibility for a good trade (your support for their midgame-carry) Since Linkens Sphere is annoying you should pick heroes who can afford wasting a spell to disable his Linkens and have another good stun as a follow up. For example: Bane, Lion, Shadow Shaman, Shadow Demon, Ogre, Rubik, Disruptor.

No. A level 1 'player' in Dota2 has no locks or restrictions on in-game heroes, abilities, items, or anything else that affects gameplay. A professional player could use a brand new account with no meaningful effect on performance. Low-level accounts are unable to play some of the more advanced modes, mostly in an attempt to counteract smurfing. These modes will be unlocked reasonably quickly as you play.

The courier is useful throughout the game as a way to gather new items without needing to slow down your experience/gold gain. The courier is frequently referred to as a 'Donkey' 'Chicken' or 'Chick' because of how it was in original DotA. A flying courier is usually called a 'Crow' for the same reason. In the laning phase, it's very common for a hero that is losing the lane and low on health to use the courier to bring his character a Healing Salve or Mana Potion. If he instead walks back to the base, he's spend probably 60 seconds doing this where he's unable to gain any experience. If you use a TP Scroll to return to your lane, now you've spent 60 seconds and 135 gold to heal, where you could have used the courier and 100 gold to bring you 400 HP worth of regen and not lost any experience. By doing this, now you might now have the advantage in lane and if your opponent doesn't make the same decision you can control the lane. During this phase, returning to your base to heal should usually be done only when you're low on both health and mana and thus aren't much of a threat in the lane, or when you're no longer needed in your lane and don't have much mana (as a support hero/roamer/ganker, typically). Mana recovery through consumables takes longer and so it's more acceptable for a hero to back off to recover mana, but if you're at full health and not afraid of dying there's usually no reason to back off just because you're low on mana. Later in the game, you can use the courier to pick up items for you at the secret shop, or after winning a teamfight, so that you can utilize the time when the enemy team is dead most efficiently. The bottom line is this: if you're playing as a hero who needs to constantly be farming, in an ideal game the number of times you return to the well to heal/recover mana should be ZERO. A couple of simple rules about couriers and courier etiquette: A support hero on your team should buy a courier at the very start of the game and upgrade it to a flying courier by no later than 3-4 minutes into the game. The most frequent usage of the courier is early in the game and so you drastically want the increased speed and safety of the crow. Do not get the courier killed! It is worth 150 or 175 gold each for the other team, and you don't get to use your courier for 3 minutes. That's a huge deal. In a dual lane, lanemates should put their items on the courier at the same time to minimize the number of trips needed. Only use the courier when you have a few items saved up or it's very important, such as for healing salves or a TP. Don't be a person who uses the courier every minute unless no one else on your team is utilizing it. If you have a solo mid hero whose laning power is highly dependent on getting an early bottle, you should not use the courier until he's gotten his bottle. If the courier is already doing something, don't touch it unless it's in danger. This will disrupt your teammate. If you do this by accident anyway, get the courier headed to a safe location near where you think it was going and just say 'reuse courier' in chat.

In the pause menu, there should be a section that says 'My Cars'. Click on it and all of the cars you have bought or won should be in there. If you click on a car it will give you different options and one of them is "Get in car" and that should let you drive that car.

In the HW2:RM (and original HW2) campaign, you can't capture enemy production units (carriers, facilities, motherships etc). Destroyers and hyperspace gates and I think resourcing units too are all fair game though. Also I don't think you can capture corvettes or smaller but I'm not 100% sure on that. Finally, unlike HW1/HW1:RM, you can't capture units above your unit cap.

The answer is yes, you will be able to install Starcraft II on any future box you have. Soon after you purchase Starcraft II, you will link your key to your battle.net account. If you don't have a battle.net account yet, you will have to create one. You must link your key to play the game. Once your account is linked, you never need your key again. What's more, you don't even need the install disc again, as you can download the entire game client off the battle.net site. The disc itself is just a convenient way to install the game; I myself bought it and didn't even use it. The same is now true for any PC Blizzard game released in the past 12 years, including Diablo 2 and the original Starcraft. What's more, for Starcraft II your match history, achievements, and current campaign progress will also transfer because it's stored on the server. There may be some stuff like Replays which won't transfer over to your new box, but for the most part you will be playing the game where you left off. The only way you could hose yourself here is by somehow losing access to your battle.net account, for example by forgetting your password or permanently losing your internet connection. I'd recommend against that.

The answer simply put is no. However you could hold "ALT" button and you will see the enemy icon on screen instead of X or Circle which might help somewhat(this is League of Legends style). I found this problem somewhat irritating as well.

Actualy there is no statement of Valve about this situation. I will edit my answer as soon as i know more. Most probably your Progress on the Hero is frozen. You will be able to: use unlocked chat-wheel phrases spend shards use relics you already have continue progressing after renewing the subscription You will not be able to: use the plus ingame features (pick/lane/item-suggestions, etc.) complete quests earn new shards in any other way (except getting +400 for double randomed relics) make any hero level progress

It's the new crafting system. Those recipes will stay. Usually items that get removed after a certain time (or at a certain point of time) are marked with an expiry date.

These are called farming positions. In a nutshell, they rank how much farm (gold and XP) each player needs. Position 1 needs the most, so they usually play in the safelane (that's bottom for Radiant and top for Dire). Position 2 and 3 usually correspond to midlane carries and offlaners respectively, while 4 and 5 are supports.

Yes, you can trade treasure boxes. In fact I give mine away all the time (no, seriously!). I figure the 2.5 USD is better spent in real life, and if someone wants those boxes that bad, then they are more than welcome to have mine :).

Your old isp had better routes through Dota servers. You can't actually say "I upgraded my internet speed by changing isp", because there are many factors that you should consider when saying that, one of them being speed to get [where]. You can double your download rate from [somewhere], while totally loosing connectivity towards [somewhere else] -> for example Dota servers. When changing isp you need to consider your location, peering provided, what you use the most. You asked: @JonathanDrapeau Any idea how can i low my ping without the help of the ISP? Yes, you can, but requires a bit of knowledge. If you know a better route to your destination (Dota servers) you can set it manually (I presume you have windows so this may help https://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/sag_tcpip_pro_addstaticroute.mspx?mfr=true - did not actually try it, I set my routes on my router). Also you can use a proxy or use tunneling software, but I recommend against it if you don't really know what you are doing. One last edit... 140 is not such a bad ping unless you are playing in some high end games. For moderate games is pretty decent. Yes, it may be your wireless too. Switching to eth would be better. And about the distance... come on, it takes you 10 min to make a cable, and that includes washing your hands after :).

Earth Spirits (which I'm going to call ES in this post) is in the current meta game one of the strongest hero. However he suffers some weaknesses that can be exploited to your advantage and help you deal with him. ES is a "skillshots" based hero : Both Boulder Smash and Rolling Boulder require good positioning and good aiming skills. When facing an ES that you feel want to initiate, imagine you are playing versus a Pudge or a Mirana so you wont get silenced by the Smash or initiated on with the Boulder. Low skilled ES' players tend to spam their remnant making their initation very limited and quite obvious. High skilled players of ES tend to keep their remnants for teamfight. If you are familiar with keeping timing for roshan or big ultimate (Ravage, Black Hole, Reverse Polarity etc.), try to keep count of the ES' remnants aswell. Those things have a 25 sec cd for 1 restock which makes ES after a teamfight quite useless. His ult deals a lot of damage if not taken seriously. Its kind of a mix between Lich's ult (which spreads between heroes) and Venomancer's ult which deals a incredible amount of damage over time. Once magnetize has been casted, have your bkb ready and spread like you would spread versus Chainfrost. When considering fighting an ES, remember that with magnetic grip and a remnant, he's got kind of an instant AOE Roar (BeastMaster). However the timing of the spells allow a really small margin for error when pulling a combo off (THe most common Being : Stun > Rolling Boulder > Smash back). If he hesistates too long to Boulder into you, you can avoid it. Especially in early game when cooldowns are high and stuns' durations low. You can even bait a Rolling Boulder in order to force him to get out of position and kill him. Rolling Boulder stop on collision : to avoid him escaping that way, stand in his way. As you mentioned silences and all sort of insta disables helps a lot (Orchid and Hex to be agressive and a defensive Euls/Forcestaff will help you dodge a lots of spells). On the same note, any mana bruning spells or diffusal blades on your carry can really kill his gameplay. ES is more of a teamfight controller (like clockwerk), if he manages to spread the teamfight in several direction : just ditch and limit the loss. If the fight spread and you try to gather, you're likely to get wiped since his cooldown allows him to control your team very efficiently. If ES is picked against you, consider counter-picking : Nyx (manaburn + carapace), lion (mana drain + 2 disable), Rhasta (2 strong disables), pugna (ward), silencer (mana draining spell + global silence) or KOTL (Manaleak before Rolling boulder). In any case a Pipe is strongly recommended to fight in his ult and a mek on top of it allows you to negate almost all the damage if you learn to position correctly.
