How many controllers can connect to a PS2?

Some people say two, some say eight (by using Multitaps). What is the maximum number of controllers that can be connected to a PS2?

It would be 8 if you were using Multitaps because each Multitap can use 4 controllers. If you weren't using Multitaps it would only be 2.

Necromancer Without any points in Drone Count, a single Necromancer can have a maximum of 22 drones. For every point spent in Drone Count, you can have 2 more drones. To easily calculate the maximum of Necromancer drones with r points in Drone Count, you can solve 22+2r. With 7 points in Drone Count, you can have a maximum of 36 drones. Overseer, Overlord, Manager You can have 8 drones as these 3 tanks before reaching the limit. Unlike Necromancer's drone limit where there is a Drone Count stat replacing Reload, as shown in the above section, you cannot upgrade Drone Count for more drones. Overtrapper, Hybrid You can have 2 drones as either of these tanks before reaching the limit. You cannot change this limit. Technically Hybrid isn't a drone tank, but I'm putting it here for completeness. Factory You can have 6 drones as a Factory before reaching the limit. You cannot change this limit.

Some PS2-like controllers have been found to work with the PS3 (mostly the Logitech ones) but there is no guarantee that any certain third party controller would work with the PS3 unless it is specifically stated to have PS3 support.

For each inserted line, there's a high percentage that the garbage shows up with the hole in the same column as the previous garbage line. It depends on how the garbage was sent to you. If it was all sent at once (via tetris or back to back tetris) it'll all be in the same line. If it was given from multiple people or was combo damage it'll be split up. So, long answer short, you cannot influence it

I'll post some kills you haven't mentioned, as well as acts that do not seem to count as special kills. This list gets updated as I find new ways to maim raptors. Pictures will be added if I remember to capture the moment. You can see the points for each kill in the pictures, so they approximate how much each kill is worth. Kills are sorted from being on average worth the least to the most. Special Kills Flying Raptor! (Launch a raptor into to air after killing them.) Boosting helps with these kills, notice the poor chap near the bottom left. Points are awarded based on distance (not pictured, this is before the Flying Raptor! finished). Because you can add this to any kill I recommend trying for it every time: Killed! (Kill a raptor with an impact without hitting them with your car.) As Gnome Slice pointed out, driving a crate into a raptor will get this kill. Clothesline! (Kill a raptor with your chain.) Not worth many points as it's very easy to do, even easier than tossing: Raptor on Raptor! (Hit one raptor into another.) Fun fact, you can stick more than one raptor on your spiky ball then toss all of them. Bonus points for more throwing more than one (see below the picture for how to do this), but no new shiny text. You can see I hit one with three others in the picture, and it's worth a decent number of points. However, it's hard to drive with three raptors on your jeep: To chain raptors, kill how ever many raptors you want on your chain by tossing a new ball per raptor. Then drop one last ball out and roll over each of them collecting a longer and longer chain. You have to do this because each ball can only stick to two raptors at a time, so this uses a ball per raptor to get the job done. Then you can swing around a ridiculous chain of death to nail other raptors, but it's not worth as many points and it is fun. Siamese Raptors! (Hit a raptor with the spiky ball when another raptor is stuck on your spiky ball). Worth slightly more points than Raptor on Raptor!, but also difficult to do. Raptors omitted from the picture to save their dignity: Pushed In! Live Specimen! (Push a raptor into the exporting beam. Live Specimen is achieved if you don't kill them in the process.) Pushed In! provides a meager number of points, but Live Specimen! is high into the tens of thousands. You can herd raptors like cattle into the beams to get Live Specimen! with ease: Jumpkill! (Jump and land on top of a raptor.) Points are proportional to the distance you traveled and are well worth the effort: Holy Pterosaur! (Kill one of the three flying Pterosaurs.) This is allegedly difficult to do. This video shows a great way of getting all three. If you're awesome, you kill them with your spiky ball: Figure that one out. Now, for kills that don't seem to count: Backing up into a raptor. Don't waste 10 minutes like I did trying to do it. Ramming a raptor into a rock or tree. It counts as whatever special kill you performed with no bonus to smashing them into terrain. Will test a little more when I can sandwich a raptor closer to a cliff-side.

Trade Ports can stack linearly, each one giving the same bonus. TEC and Vasari Orbital Refineries affect their planet and all planets within one jump. In an inhabitable system, the extractors can benefit from up to three refineries, while extractors in an uninhabitable system can benefit from up to four. Advent Refineries are a bit different. After the Resource Focus research, you can toggle your Trade Ports into Orbital Refineries. This orbital refineries only benefit the planet they are located on, but stack additively. However, because of certain factors, you're usually better off leaving your Trade Ports as Trade Ports. Broadcast Centers also stack linearly. Shield Generators and Phase Jump Inhibitors do not stack. Passive capital ship abilities do not stack.

I believe your problem can mostly be circumvented by using Steam's offline-mode. You say you have the game on "your laptop". I assume this is a personal laptop you can take home from time to time. Here's what you do. In your home, with unhindered access to Steam, download the games you want and start them once. This way Steam can verify your right to run those games at least once. After this, put Steam to off-line mode. It will remember the verifications you did (for limited time, a couple of weeks, according to @badp) and you should be able to use the laptop and its Steam installation to play the games without needing to connect to the Steam's server. Depending on the game, you may even have the game online without needing to connect to Steam's servers.

The easy way to check the controller is to use Windows' built-in controller diagnostic screen. It can be tricky to find, at least on recent versions of Windows this procedure should work: Plug the controller into your Windows PC Open Control Panel Open Devices and Printers Right click on the controller's icon Select "Game controller settings" Make sure the controller is selected in the list Click the "Properties" button at the bottom This should bring up a screen that shows the various buttons that the controller has. From here, you can press each button and make sure that the proper button is being registered by the computer. If you see that pressing/holding "Down" causes "Right" to register pretty often, that's a good sign that the controller has issues. Nintendo never made a USB-based NES pad, so all the USB NES controllers you will find on the internet are off-brand knockoffs. That makes me initially suspect the hardware is the issue here. Chances are good that the controller is pretty cheaply made, and has some sort of design issue that is causing the problem, even across multiple units. Although it won't give the most "authentic" experience, my best experiences with USB controllers is the wired Xbox 360 controller. They're available used pretty cheaply, and work with Windows and Linux (Raspberry Pi, etc) natively. They've also got a D-pad, which works for NES games well.

Applies the same principle with all machines, they get hot and this can in the long run harm your system and reduce the its life span. It's better just to turn it off or at least in a suspend state to allow preserve the system.

To me seems like controller is either dead, or for some reason incompatible. You said that you bought new PS3, is controller that comes with PS3 working, and the one that you have from old console (?) not working? Is the contoller that is not working an original Sony controller, or a compatible one from some other brand?

Pressing F3 + H will toggle the display of item durability in the popups when you hover over an item in your inventory. This will also show the item ID.

I had this issue before, so I used Xpadder*. It is a great software for programming input on your controller so that games on the PC recognise the DS4 input. It will allow you to use your PS4 controller on PC if you're playing steam or using emulators. * I have no affiliation with the software or the team surrounding it.
