In destiny, when does the giant door in the tower behind the bounty tracker open? I have been told it is during events, but I have never seen it open before

It opens for events - typical the Iron Banner and the short-lived Queen's Bounty event in Year 1. Iron Banner will be starting up again on October 13th. It's possible there will be new special events in Year 2 that utilize this area, but we don't know for sure.

No. If you try to connect to Destiny on more than one device on an account, you will get the following error message: Error Could not connect to Destiny servers. Please check your network configuration and try again. For more information on resolving this issue visit help.bungie.net and search for error code: weasel You will get this error message on whichever machine was logged on first, at the point that the second person selects a character. This happens even if you pick a different character.

Normally you can't transfer DLC from one system to another. You'd have to purchase it for both consoles. In Destiny's case, there was a 'Last Gen to Next Gen' upgrade program for select DLC, but only for a limited time. You probably qualified for this when you bought the first expansion. But it expired on January 15, 2015. (This is assuming you purchased the DLC individually, instead of in the season pass.) So unfortunately, if you want the DLC on the 360, you'll have to buy it on the 360. However, if you purchased the season pass on the 360, then you should try navigating to the DLC page on the Xbox 360 store and see if it is unlocked and just needs to be downloaded.

You need the Rope Arrow to open these doors. There are certain doors that can only be opened with the upgraded version, the Rope Ascender.

AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time) is +10 hours ahead of UTC/GMT (Coordinated Universal Time/Greenwich Mean Time). When Xur arrives in the Tower, he arrives between the hours of 9am Friday and 9am Sunday UTC, in random locations. Converted to AEST, this timetable is 7pm Friday (arrival) and 7pm Sunday (departure). Xur will only appear on the map/in the Destiny app between these hours.

There are two secrets in this room. Constellations Look out the telescope at night and two tetrominos constellations will show in the stars. Rotate the telescope to get a sequence of eight. Enter the sequence, looping it in case you started at the wrong point. If you want to cheat, hover for the code: → RT ← RT RT A A → Red star To "complete" the room, observe the blinking red star in the telescope: Turn your telescope to look in the direction of the entrance door. A blinking red star will show in the upper-left corner of the telescope's view at night. Press your left/right triggers in time with the blinking to unlock a red "heart" cube piece. The truncated code is RT LT LT RT RT LT.

For starters - there is no year 2 version of Thorn. With the removal of exotic bounties, there are no ways to specifically target Thorn. However, you can run year 1 content (raids like Vault of Glass or Crota's End, or the Prison of Elders) all of which have a chance to reward Year 1 exotics. Finally, Xur sometimes sells legacy exotic engrams for 36 strange coins. These will always decrypt to a year 1 exotic, with a strong bias (but not a guarantee) towards ones not already in your collection.

Zombies can batter down wooden doors in hard & hardcore modes. Villagers can open and close wooden doors to go through them. All mobs will walk through open doors.

From the wiki: Weight of Darkness, which can stack up to 10 times. It disables the ability to double-jump and reduces movement speed. Weight of Darkness can only be removed by standing close to one of the lighted pillars. Courtesy of turbo - It is a good tip to note that the Blade Dancer's ability "Arc Blade" removes the effect while the ability is active; and the Sun Singer's ability "Fireborn" also resets this as well.

Wild animals get named by a few means; a common one aside from being a pet is if they manage to kill enough enemies. You can check it in history mode for yourself - quit the game, copy the last save somewhere, restart and abandon the fort, and restart the world in the history viewing mode. Tolissedil will be in there, somewhere, with all of his exploits and killings. You can restore your old save with your functioning fort afterwards. "Tolissedil" is a Dwarven name ("tolis" = top, "sedil" = angel), so chances are it only got that name from the killing of your hunter. See also: Animal and Megabeast names on DF wiki

Yes, you can use your same Destiny character on different consoles since it is tied to your GamerTag. Bungie addressed this in a Weekly Update from last summer (in the Q&A section): According to David Shaw, our self-professed Chief Pyrotechnical Officer, this was the plan all along, as we set out to build an adventure that would span generations. “Our service is built with flexibility in mind. As a player of Destiny, you have a Bungie account that’s bound to your PSN ID or your Xbox LIVE Gamertag, instead of a specific generation of device.”

Vanguard Reputation is just a barrier to allow you to purchase the Purple Gear from your class vendor. The Purple Gear requires you to be at least Level 2 Reputation, so farm those Bounties. You use Vanguard Marks to actually buy the items - so farm those Strikes! Think of Vanguard Reputation as your credit score, you need it high enough to qualify for a mortgage. You spend your Vanguard Marks on the downpayment.

You need to make sure you're docking at a station with the correct faction, as well as in the correct system. If the bounty doesn't appear when you first dock, try reloading the game and check the contacts again.

Experience in Destiny counts towards 3 separate areas: Your level, up to level 20 Your active skill subclass Your equipped items If you kill a mob, for each 1 experience point you get, 1 experience point is attributed towards each of the 3 separate areas above. Let's take an example. You kill a Dreg at level 15. Dregs give 20 experience. Your level gets 20 more experience points towards level 16 Your active subclass gains 20 more experience points towards the next skill(s) to unlock Your equipped armor items get 20 experience towards their next upgrade points (if they can be upgraded) Your equipped weapons get 20 experience towards their next upgrade points (again if they can be upgraded) If you kill the same Dreg at level 20, your level does not gain any more experience and will stay at 20. You need armor with +Light stat to gain more "light level" above 20. However, the rest of the areas get the same experience as before. This means that you can unlock all skills on both subclasses with time. Note You do not unlock skills because you level. Since both your level and your skills get XP, to begin with it seems that every time you level up you gain a skill but that is just because the same amount of XP is needed both for the next skill and the next level. If you momentarily switch to your other subclass and earn some XP, the level and skill XP will be out of sync, so you'll gain a level when killing one mob, and gain a new skill a bit later. Things I don't know: Do all weapons get experience, or only the one(s) you used to kill the mob with? If you used two weapons, do they both get XP, do they get 20 each or a portion of the 20 each? Do all armor items get 20 each, or a portion of the 20 (say 5 each)? Do all skills that currently have a progress bar get 20 each, or a portion of the 20 (say 10 each if you have 2 that currently have a progress bar)?

If you have RotS expansion you can play in adventure mode. When you start the game with these options you will be given 25 random bounties scattered around all 5 towns(5 for each). These bounties will be simple randomly generated tasks like killing a certain boss or champion monster,clearing whole area from monsters,certain dungeon dungeon or event... Which is a fun way to break the monotony of standard quests you got fed up with. Upon completing a bounty you will be rewarded with gold,experience,horadric cache(drops random loot when used) and blood shards.For completing all 5 bounties in single act,you will get greater horadric cache and chance of Rift Keystone. Blood Shards are used for gambling(buying unidentified items) from Kadala. And to buy greater horadric caches from Lorath Nahr(not sure if they changed this).
