How to view Borderlands FPS without third party software

I would like to see what my framerate is for Borderlands 2 (steam). However, the only way to do this that I can find on Google, is to install 3rd-party-software (fraps, EVGA monitor...). Right now, I am running Ubuntu, which is incompatible with all of these. Is there any way to see the framerate without installing anything?

Steam actually has a built in setting for you to check the FPS of any game. Go into setting and select the In-Game options and change the In-Game FPS counter to whatever position you want. This will then show some small text in one of the corners with the current FPS of the game.

It's random, whenever you do something illegal, such as deleting files, ddosing, or transferring money, you have a random percent chance to land on the Safenet warning list, it has nothing to do with clearing your logs, but if you wait, you'll be taken off of it, but you can also change your IP using the Internet Service Provider (ISP). I suggest not doing anything majorly illegal until you get off of the Safenet warning list, as it could place you on the FBI list where people can get a bounty for ddosing you.

Unranked elo used to be accessible via a glitch, but isn't anymore. However, it still exists, and is used for matchmaking. (it just isn't visible) Ranked elo is accessible on profile and visible by other players if you have an elo of 1250 or more.

The way to identify farmer locations is to look for crops that contain scarecrows. But even then, they can still be hard to pick out. Fortunately, the farmers are not too far off from each other. He's just northeast of the second farmer in that screenshot. You'll find your farmer there.

Your framerate is not affected by your internet connection. The things that do affect the framerate are in-game things that are the same on servers as in singleplayer. Servers just tend to have more stuff that lowers your framerate. Lobbies often have a lot of terrain to be generated, lots of players and other entities and tons of particles everywhere, which all lower your framerate. Of course, you can improve the framerate by going to the video settings and lowering render distance, disable particles, etc. Another way of boosting your computer's performance is by installing modifications to the game, the most popular one being OptiFine.

You can safely close Steam & shut down your computer in the middle of the download. You can continue it next time you use Steam (or if you want to use Steam but not download, you can do that too – just restart the download whenever you're ready). Looks like a background task; those usually run all the time, so they generate high waits but they're benign and there's not really much you can do about them (and you'll find this wait is filtered out of the popular diagnostic scripts out there). Questions to ask yourself, when investigating a wait you can't get much information on, there's usually a reason (it's obscure because it's a nothin-burger). Do you see an actual problem associated with this wait? Do you see any actual sessions waiting on this (check sys.dm_exec_session_stats, but I doubt you'll find anything, because these types of waits aren't waits users wait on). You'll always have a highest wait even if your system is completely idle, it doesn't mean the highest wait is a problem. This post might be worth a read, but the TL;DR is that you're always going to have waits and the highest wait isn't necessarily a problem you need to solve. The analogy I use when teaching is that you're always going to have a worst employee, but you can't constantly fire your worst employee for very long. FWIW I also see this as one of my top waits, but like SP_SERVER_DIAGNOSTICS_SLEEP, XE_TIMER_EVENT, and SOS_WORK_DISPATCHER, I'm not panicking. When I see evidence that there is a performance problem and I can tie it to this wait (or resources that are congruent), I'll dig.

Just keep the wifi on even if you are using data that helps in gps tracking. On the other note if you are using ios device go to settings>mobile data and check if the data is checked on for Pokemon GO.

You can't. Because here's a fun fact: Ranged attacks can hit WELL beyond their listed ranges. It's based on the relative height differences between the unit and their target. The higher the unit is, the farther they can reach. Archers on walls (because they have Warp Rings or Winged Boots), can sometimes target the entire map. Obstacles will also play a part for Gunners; they need a direct line to their target, whereas Archers will just shoot over them. The only limitation for ranged attacks are spells; those, the range isn't extendable, but is still subject to obstacles. Melee is the only one you can figure out; it's the unit's movement range, and then add one for all melee weapons, and add an extra one for whips and spears.

Try reducing the effect detail from high to medium. This does not seem to make a big difference in graphics quality overall, but it did fix the slowdowns caused by gel for me.

If we use your calculation then you would find that a punch plus half a second of tesla deals the same amount of DPS as the tesla on its own (against non-armor). Though in practice I was using 9-10 between punches meaning you potentially lose out on 3 DPS with the punch interrupts. Not to mention the potential of missing a punch which then cuts DPS in half. Pros of adding the punch: Better against armor Saves ammo Cons of the punch: Small DPS loss (noticed using 9 instead of 10 rounds) Potential to miss Only hits a single target Shorter range than tesla The caveat is that punching is instant and equal to half a second of the tesla. So if you kill an enemy with a punch you will kill them up to a half a second faster than waiting for the tesla to kill them. This test was done in the training range against the 200 HP test bots To kill a bot with the tesla alone takes 66 rounds or 3.3 seconds. If you add a punch as the killing blow then it will take 57 rounds at minimum and the punch. 57 rounds takes ~2.85 seconds and the punch is instant. So it should take less than 3 seconds with the punch at the end.

Sometimes. Extra horses in your inventory will offset the speed loss that comes from carrying lots of heavy goods in your inventory. However, if you aren't carrying very much in your inventory, having lots of horses could actually slow you down (since they themselves count as goods). So you have to strike a balance if you want to maximize travelling speed.
