How can I turn off the "You have unspent Sync Points!" Message?

So the game is new but one thing that really annoys me is the message that pops up on the right of the screen telling me that I have unspent Sync Points!

It's really annoying and I'm just trying to save them to level up certain skills.

This wouldn't be an issue if it didn't hover over a lot of interesting information and sometimes mission information!

I've scoured the menus and haven't found an option to do so.

Does anyone know how to turn these messages off?

Go to HUD Settings

Turn off Tips

And those messages will disappear.

Conclusion Workers do not work partial turns. A worker spends its remaining movement for the turn to do one turn of work. First Test Hunting camps take 6 turns to build. Started construction on a hunting camp with an unmoved worker. The progress display said 5 turns remaining. Started construction on a hunting camp with a worker that moved into the square via road. The progress display said 5 turns remaining. Second Test Roads take 3 turns to build. First turn I moved a worker from plains to plains (1/2 move remaining) and clicked the build road button (2 turns remaining). Second turn I moved that worker off and moved another one on (1/2 move remaining) and clicked the build road button (1 turn remaining). Third turn I moved the second worker off and moved a third one on (1/2 move remaining) - when I clicked the build road button, the road completed. This technique could be used to create a long road with workers that move every turn as long as they don't spend all of their movement to enter the tile.

You can reset your skill points at any customization store. The button should be under the the character name setting in the store. Just like in the first Borderlands, there is a small but negligible fee every time you wish to reset your skills.

Nope. It's purely cosmetic and doesn't have any effect in the gameplay or character's 'stats'.

No, you still need a pickaxe for ores. From the wiki entry on silk touch (emphasis mine): Allows the collection of normally unobtainable blocks such as Ores , Grass , Mycelium and Huge Mushrooms . A pickaxe must be used for stone-based blocks (ores), while any tool can harvest grass, mycelium, huge mushrooms...

There are QR codes around the office on sticky notes which you can interact with by pressing the appropriate interact button. You will notice your tablet thing in the lower left will light up its interact icon when you are close to and pointed at a sticky note. When collecting one it will give you some in game information which I assume the QR code is meant to refer to. I don't think they have any further use than this.

Based on what I've read here: As long as you keep within the checkpoints, it’s fair game. It sounds like the checkpoints are a core mechanic and not able to be turned off. This is actually the source of a complaint in this review (cached version, original link is actually dead): the checkpoint placement can be a little frustrating at points – where you’ll narrowly miss a checkpoint banner by inches and then be forced to restart the race – which breaks the sheer pace and momentum that Horizon champions everywhere else in the game. Actually you're not forced to restart the race, your car position is just reset to a place before the missed checkpoint and you just go from there, without stopping the race.

After taking a look at the source (as of V1.07) it seems that splash points do not count towards the forage points. Only a single splash point can exist in a location and they will never spawn on your farm. If a splash point is not present at a location it will attempt to spawn one by testing a random point on the map at about a 50% rate every time the game updates for the 10 minute interval. If a splash point exists it will have a 10% chance of being removed during the tick. Additionally it looks like if you are on the map that a splash point is spawning you should hear a water slosh sound play. The worm spots also do not add to the forage points. There is no hard limit on how many worm spots can spawn in a location. At the beginning of the day each map location is given several chances to spawn worm spots (this is done the same method which adds forage spots). The game will keep trying to add worm spots until it fails a check, with the likelihood of passing the check becoming less each round...during the winter ~10% chance is added at the end of each round with the result being the spots happening more frequently during that season. After passing the initial check a random spot is chosen and tested to see if it is suitable, a spot will only be added if it passes the tests.

tl;dr : No, DotA 2 doesn't support yet custom game mode. DotA 2 is a full online game (Appart for some tournament where players play on local lobby). This means that the game settings are set on Valve's server and thus can not be changed. Either you play All Pick, Captain's Mode or ARDM you can not turn off deny when playing matchmaking. Even if you create a private lobby, there are no option implemented at the moment that allows such thing. However, with the release of Source 2 coming early 2015, DotA 2 is on the way to fully support custom games modes which could lead to DotA games where denying is turned off. Still this would not be an official DotA game and you might not find many players to play with you. That being said, learning to deny is a concept inner to DotA. If your friend has trouble denying he can use the folowing command dota_force_right_click_attack "1" which makes denying a lot easier since you can right click to deny and are not longer required to press the Attack key then select the creep you want to deny (This command can be written in an autoexec.cfg file so you don't have to type it everytime you start the game. If it's the whole concept of denying that is the issue then I'm afraid there is not much more you can do, denying is a part of DotA and is a very interesting game mechanic. It can help you control your lane (if you want to push or not), it forces you to decide if you want to commit for a tower kill or if you let it being denied, you can even do some clutch plays and deny allies when they are low life thus denying some much needed XP and Gold to the enemy team.

I reckon that their interface is not intuitive at all. So to send a boat to another port, follow these steps: Select your departure port Select the boat you want to send Select the sail icon on the bottom of the side bar Select your destination port The UI is pretty inintuitive for different reason. Firstly the selection effect on the items of the side bar is quite light (a light blue circle on a blue background) and you really have to pay attention to see it. Secondly, it takes time to realise that the 3 buttons on at the bottom are actually contextual to the selected boat. And it gets even more confusing when you realise that some actions in the trading menu are not all contextual to the boat, but also to the port. For example buying a boat is contextual to the port but is activated throught the trading button contextual to the boat...

The white skull icon seems to indicate which enemy is engaging in combat with a crewmate that needs saving and is accompanied by a blue dot over said crewmate in trouble, this skull is to help indicate which enemy to focus on to help save that crewmate.

I found this information online : 35 bonus points are awarded whenever a player uses all 7 tiles on their rack in a single turn. That would match with the advice that the game gives you.

Because you mentioned successfully being summoned into his game but not that you were ever able to summon him into yours, I think this might be the issue. Have you made sure that your soul memories are in compatible tiers? A full breakdown can be seen here. If you are attempting to summon with the White Sign Soapstone while using the name-engraved ring, you should be able to summon "Down 6, Up 4" tiers. If you are 5-6 tiers below him, that would explain why you are unable to see his signs, yet he was able to summon you.

The Mayan and Templar armors do give special benefits. The Mayan Armor deflects all ranged attacks The Templar Armor reduces all damage by 25% other armors that have benefits Stealth outfit - you can hide better, enemies won't detect you as easily. Hunter outfit - reduces range of detection from animals The other armors are all cosmetic, though.
