Can someone please explain how I get a dog in Skyrim? I've looked in Riverwood but I can't figure out how to actually get the dog.

Basically, there are several different ways. One is to find Meeko's Shack where you can simply befriend Meeko, the second is to buy Vigilance in Markarth, and the third option is to wait for a handful of random events that can result in you getting a dog.

You will need the 'Stealth Weapons' augmentation, that way you can cloak as a first action and then fire without disrupting your cloak. The achievement is unlocked if you start your cloak when the enemy ship is at full health and you destroy it within a single cloak.

If you mean the mysterious note with an image of a hand and the words "we know", it is just a warning. It doesn't matter if you lose it. All that matters is that you received the note. You'll find out more if you get a good night's sleep.

From what it looks like from the USEP Wiki, she stops following you after the main questline. However it looks like you can enlist her to follow you again at a later point. From the wiki: Her main location during gameplay depends on which faction you ally yourself with—if siding with the Dawnguard, she can be found at Fort Dawnguard; if siding with the Volkihar vampires, she can be found at Volkihar Keep. After completing the Dawnguard main questline, she can normally be found at these same two locations, although you will occasionally randomly encounter her in the wilds of Skyrim, where she can be recruited to follow you again.

If you're on windows 7 (I think Vista as well?), try the following: While Skyrim is running, alt-tab back to your desktop. Click the volume icon in the system tray, then click "mixer". In there, there are separate settings for each application currently running. Move Skyrim's slider higher, and it should raise the volume relative to your other applications

What you are looking for is a husband that is a Merchant, and there are quite a few of them. For a complete list you can go here but here are the names as they currently are in the game: Balimund Filnjar Halbarn Iron-Fur Moth gro-Bagol Quintus Navale Revyn Sadri Sorex Vinius Wilhelm I think only Halbarn requires the Dragonborn DLC, the rest are just out and about in the world. (can get more details on their locations on that wiki page link above).

Skyrim does use Steam Cloud to back up your saves, however the amount of space provided is hardly enough to store many saves. The best way to preserve your saves is to move the files over to the new PC. Skyrim puts its saves in the following directory in Windows Vista & Windows 7: C:\Users[UserName]\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves Skyrim puts saves in the following directory in Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings[UserName]\My Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves These files are not dependent on anything so you can freely share them across computers, delete, copy, backup, or anything else. From Where are the save files in Skyrim? You will probably move the entire My Documents directory to the new computer anyway.

Here is what you need to know about Draugr Wight Overlord: He uses the disarm shout. Its really annoying when he does so, especially against Lydia as NPCs typically don't go and pick up their weapons and will end up standing there. Try giving her a nice staff and/or bow to use so she's out of the shout range instead. He's immune to poison and resists frost, so stick with fire or lightning. They hurt a lot up close with their enchanted weapons, and they have high armor. Here are some typical strategies to use: Take advantage of the traps in the dungeon. If there are any traps nearby, lead the draugr to it and have it hit them repeatedly. You mentioned the fireball traps, position yourself so the lord is between you and the crystal. Take advantage of your own shouts, you can buy yourself some time by using just the FUS part of unrelenting force to stagger quite often (even better if you have the amulet of Talos and Talos' blessing). Throwing in the bash from your shield to stagger them even more. Find some open spacing. Other than the shout, the wight lords have no ranged attack, prick them to death with arrows. (This is harder to do if you intend on saving Lydia as she'll most likely die). Give Lydia ranged attacks and just kite the lord around while keeping his attention. If all else fails... turn him into a sweet roll

I very sure it not possible to get platinum on one playthrough. This is because in the guide it talks about needing to play through New Game+. This is only accessible by completing the game. You need to get to day 13 or 14 and defeat the final boss. Then on New Game+ you need to play on Hard for a few of the achievements such as Aeornite Boss. Grab the guide here if you want to find out properly, or perhaps you could try PSsite.

Couple things I have done to make enemies change their positioning. I will shoot an arrow to a corner in the room or a good shadowy position in a cave to give myself some time to get behind them and do a quick backstab, this has the slight drawback of not holding their attention for very long and they will probably find you if you dont move. There is a shout called Throw Voice that will do the same basic thing as shooting an arrow with less chance of being detected and holds their attention longer. Although the drawback is every enemy in the area will be drawn to it so expect lots of enemies to come clamoring towards your shadowy corner. These are the only two ways i have found in my days in the theives guild and the dark brotherhood.
I'm not powerful enough to continue the main quest(s). What can I do?

Bears are tough. A few tips: try upgrading your equipment if you have smithing, and either dual-wield swords (if that's your weapon of choice) and attack with both (both mouse buttons simultaneously on PD) or use a sword and a shield. It's possible that it's just too early to do what you're trying to do. Level up a bit further before trying to progress the main storyline. Do a few side quests, get better weapons and armor, get a few perks in light armor and one-handed weapons. Don't forget to bring potions!

No. Glass armor does not appear in leveled lists until you are level 36. Allegedly they can appear in boss chests or merchant inventories at around level 26. You can find a pickaxe and mine malachite from the Glacial Cave or Nchardak, assuming you could survive there at level one. However you can't craft glass armor without the requisite perk, which requires 70 Smithing, which you can't really get without leveling up a few times. There are very few fixed sources of glass armor; Northwatch Keep and the Thalmor Embassy have guaranteed Thalmor spawns, but they won't be wearing glass armor until you're level 36. They're in Skyrim anyhow, not Solsthiem. I don't think Solstheim has any fixed spawns of the armor or creatures that would wear the armor. Your best bet for getting it as early as possible is probably to level only Smithing until you hit 70 (to keep your level as low as possible), taking the appropriate perks along the way, and then make a beeline for a malachite ore vein and craft the armor yourself. Or to cheat.

You mentioned that you have been doing missions with Miraak, which is part of the Dragonborn DLC. After reaching a certain point in the DLC, you will not be able to gain dragon souls from dragons as this is important to the DLC's story. You must complete the questline to be able to acquire dragon souls again.

The scarecrow teleports behind you whenever it leaves your field of view. It can't move as long as you look into its direction, but just a split-second is enough for it to teleport. When active, the scarecrow will attract nearby hunters to its location. There are two ways to get rid of it. kill it. It takes quite a lot of axe-hits, but it will go down after a while. Because it neither moves nor attacks back, using a firearm is a waste of ammo. Run away. Face it and run backwards until its eyes stop to glow. When its eyes stop glowing it is safe to look away. The first option gives you loot, but that loot rarely has much value. It forces you to stay near the scarecrow for a while, which means that any nearby hunters have more time to close in on you. This can bring you into a quite precarious situation. The second option has the advantage that you get away from the location to which it called the nearby hunters. When they arrive, you will already have quite a distance from that location. But unfortunately you don't see where you are running, so there is a risk to run blindly into the hunters which are attracted. This option should be chosen when you know (or at least expect) that one direction is relatively save. Bottom line: When you spot a scarecrow, keep your distance.

There are a bunch of hats you can get free in Team Fortress 2. Random Drops If you have a premium account (from either owning The Orange Box or buying anything in the Mann Co Store), you can get random hat drops. However, keep in mind that they are rare. You will go months without getting one. Note: This was broken for the entire year of 2015, but appears to be working against as of January 24th, 2016. From TF2 itself Ghostly Gibus - Dominate anyone wearing one of these hats: Ghastly Gibus, Ghastlier Gibus, Ghastlierest Gibus, or Ghostly Gibus. Note that only the Ghostly version is currently awarded despite what the achievement description says. Pyrovision Goggles - Dominate someone wearing Pyrovision Goggles Full Head of Steam - Complete 7 achievements on cp_foundry Gentle Munitionne of Leisure - Complete 7 achievements on sd_doomsday (not sd_doomsday_event) Party Hat - Log on to TF2 on or around August 24 Saxton Hale Mask - Craft together 1 of each of the Class Halloween Masks, which are not available most of the year. Note: This is much more difficult starting in 2015 as the number of Halloween item drops was reduced to just 13 and they are now awarded randomly. Mildly Disturbing Halloween Mask - Get the Candy Coroner achievement. This achievement can be earned on Halloween maps. Halloween/Full Moon restricted item. Horseless Headless Horsemann's Head - Kill the Horseless Headless Horsemann for the first time. He appears on the Mann Manor map (cp_manor_event). Halloween/Full Moon restricted item. MONOCULUS! - Kill MONOCULUS for the first time. He appears on the Eyeaduct map (cp_viaduct_event). Halloween/Full Moon restricted item. Bombnomicon - After killing MONOCULUS, go through the portal that appears and make it to the top of the island without getting killed. Touch the Bombnomicon waiting there to get it. Skull Island Topper AKA Merasmus's Skull Hat - After killing Merasmus on Ghost Fort (cp_lakeside_event), go through the portal that appears make your way to the top of the island without dying. Touch his hat to get it. Any hat can be gotten by using the Fabricate Headgear crafting recipe (or related recipes). This costs at least 3 Refined metal to do and may only be available to Premium accounts. The Spine-Cooling Skull, Spine-Tingling Skull, or Spine-Twisting Skull can be crafted if you have 4 Refined Metal and the Haunted Metal Scrap... which you get by hitting the Horseless Headless Horsemann with a melee attack during his death animation. From other games The Promotion Items wiki page covers this in more depth than I ever could... it even covers which are currently active and which are expired. Halloween Exclusive During the Halloween event each year, it is possible to get many Halloween-specific hats by finding gifts that appear on the level. You're too late for this in 2014, but for future use: Mann Manor (cp_manor_event) - 9 All-Class Masks. Can be crafted to make the Saxton Hale Mask (which isn't holiday restricted). Eyeaduct (koth_viaduct_event) - 27 cosmetics (3 per class). Ghost Fort (cp_lakeside_event) - 26 spells, 30 cosmetics, and one melee reskin... although you may get Voodoo cursed items instead. You can craft 7 Voodoo-Cursed items to get one of the cosmetics. Helltower (cp_hightower_event) - 102 cosmetics. No, that's not a typo. The gifts containing items used to appear around every 45 minutes, but in 2014 it was raised to a much longer time... I want to say around 3 hours. Carnival of Carnage (sd_doomsday_event) has 50 cosmetics. However, they do not appear on the map itself. Instead, each player can only get a max of 6: 3 for logging in during the Halloween event and 3 more for getting 4 achievements on the map. During the Halloween event, you can do 13 Merasmissions (1 per day during the event) to get a random Halloween cosmetic. There are hundreds of Halloween cosmetics in the game, though.

Dragons are vulnerable to fire: well, at least some of them. There are many types of dragons, but they fall into two major archetypes: fire dragons and frost dragons. Fire dragons are vulnerable to frost (25% weakness) but resistant to fire (50% resistance). Frost dragons are vulnerable to fire (25% weakness) but resistant to frost (50% resistance). So if you're trying fire and it's not doing a lot of damage, switch to frost. But you should be able to tell what type of dragon it is by the type of breath attack it has.
