Is there any keyboard shortcut to the icons above the action bar in WoW.

For example, is there a shortcut for activating the stealth mode for the rogue?

The second level of action icons above the main action bar are all accessed with Ctrl + the function keys. Unless you remap them, of course

There are two different types of pets: class pets and companion pets. The former you only get if you're a certain class: warlocks get demonic minions, hunters can train animals to be pets, death knights can get undead pets, and frost mages can get a water elemental as a pet. But I have a feeling you're talking about so-called companion pets. Companion pets are rewards for all sorts of things: achievements, quests, out-of-game events; some are even available for purchase with real money. The best way to find out how to get one is to figure out the companion you'd like to have first, and find out what you need to do to get it. To that end, the website WarcraftPets.com has a searchable database that gives all the details about the different companion pets.

Feburary 2020: Okay so, I somehow really overlooked this. It's actually for the rehab program, which as my 2019 update could include overdosed inmates. Edit September 2019: I believe this is purely to indicate a Overdosed state. Original Answer: That icon is a part of the general mood bubble. It shows the prisoners current need (at least speculated to be part of it), in that example the prisoner needs drugs or a rehabilitation program. They will attempt to smuggle in drugs if this gets critical. You can view the entire Prison's Needs if you have a Psychologist. Mousing over a prisoner will show what need and how much they need it. Needs marked Green are being satisfied currently, where as white ones are not. You can see an entire overview of this in the reports in the lower right: When the needs are low your prison may end up retaliating back and trying to escape or satisfy the need by smugging in drugs, or rioting. When they're close to breaking point the icon will change to have spiked edges around it, showing it's critical. Typically when they break they try destroying stuff in retaliation.

It's worth noting before we start that World of Warcraft is a region locked game. It is available in a variety of regions (EU, US, TW, KR) but if you purchase a copy for another region it will not be compatible with all regions. If your friend is to be playing with his American friends, you will need the US copy if they play on the US servers According to the various Blizzard sources, in order to gift a copy of World of Warcraft or one of its expansions to a friend you do the following; Simply add the “Digital Download” version to your cart, and once you complete the online purchasing process, you’ll be given the option to email your game code to a friend as a gift, or -- if you’d rather redeem the code yourself -- have it automatically filled in for you in Battle.net account management. In order to play the whole of World of Warcraft (ie: get to level 90, explore all of the zones, etc) you will need to purchase all of the expansion packs - only buying the base game will still provide a large amount of content to play, but will prevent your friend from playing any of the maximum level content (or indeed, some of the content before that such as Cataclysm content). If you need any further assistance with this, or "official" help, I would recommend contacting Blizzard directly.

Backspace will allow you to cycle through your Command Centers/Nexuses/Hatcheries. You can also set a building to a group -- for instance, I set my main base's command center to 0, my first expansion to 9, etc. That might be useful or not for you, but it helps me get around the map faster than hitting Backspace several times.

It really depends on your professions, since you said mounts are not a concern. So, I believe you would be looking at a few reps to help in terms of recipes, or 'helpful' items, and epic gear: In MoP Tillers: you get your own food buff recipes and able to make Panderan Banquets Anglers: you get a raft and a mount that lets you run on water August Celestials: enchanting wrist recipes, epic gear for difficult slots (hands, bracers, also boots but see Shieldwall below) Order of Cloud Serpent: JC mount recipes (great at AH or for friends) Operation Shieldwall (Alliance) / Dominance Offensive (Horde): trinkets and 496 boots/belt Kirin-Tor: ring, back (both 496) these provide epic gear but could probably manage without, and will probably replace quickly from running LFR and other reps Golden Lotus: chest, shoulder, ring Shado-Pan: head, back, trinket Klaxxi: legs, ring, belt, trinket (and 463 blue weapon at exalted) And for myself personally, do the Argent Tournament grind and get the Argent Pony Bridle. It saves so much time from having to always get back and forth to a bank. This does not transfer across your other characters though, so you will need to grind it on all of them. Other reps (especially earlier ones) are for epic gear or vanity items. Since, you no longer need to unlock AC or SP, you could avoid Golden Lotus. Shieldwall and Kirin-Tor (on Thunder Isle) will get you the higher gear faster. Shado-Pan Assault is current 522 lvl, but that requires you to be doing Throne of Thunder raid, which you need 480 ilvl, so will probably need to get some nice drops or grind at least most MoP reps a little. You can get some decent rewards at just honored now. UPDATE : with the recent patch 5.4, ilvl 496 is found A LOT and easily on the Timeless Isle, so you could easily forgo all but Shado Pan Assault gear factions above (you will still need to do Thunder Isle to advance the Black Prince rep/legendary line). Timeless Isle can be rough solo if under geared - many elite creatures with 5M plus hp and deadly abilities. Don't go as a fresh lvl 90 (if you even can) and try to go with a group.

According to the news section of Battlelog, the hand gun and DMR shortcut kits have been released as of Februrary 18th, and are available until the 25th. You must have premium for the DMR shortcut kit. Sometimes when this happens, it means the world server itself is down -- check to make sure that you can load other characters, on other continents. For instance -- can you make a new draenei or blood elf character (hosted on the Outland world server)? Can you load characters parked in Northrend? In an instance? Do you have the same problem on a completely different server? If you are able to do one or more of the above, it is likely the problem is either location or character specific. In either case, it is likely that time will resolve the problem, as parts of the server are brought back up. If, on the other hand, the problem persists for several days, I would try opening a ticket, or speaking to someone on the customer service forums.

Spell casting speeds are artificially lowered at low levels so you don't have to worry too much about advanced concepts like spell pushback and to make the low-level game a bit more fast-paced. The cast speed is scaled until around level 20, where you'll eventually hit the normal casting time for the spell. For example, Frostbolt's actual cast time is 2 seconds: you reporting 2.1 seconds at level 19 indicates you're likely at or near the end of the scaling. Additionally, if you have any items that have the haste rating attribute, one thing to keep in mind is that while haste lowers casting speeds, the amount of haste rating required to maintain the same speed reduction increases with level. So if you don't swap out your gear for things that have more haste rating, you'll find spell casting times increase as you gain levels.

When using an auctioning Addon, you can always do an entire scan of the servers market. then you should have the current price for all items you can craft. That way you don't have to re-scan every time you select that item. Prices fluctuate over the weekend, after Raid id resets is the best time to sell enchants, because most people get new gear on those days. Same rule applies to potions/flasks etc. As for Auctionator, give Auctioneer a try, i find it a bit clearer and the entire scan is quicker. Also in auctioneer you can create a "shopping list" with all the items you want to craft and do 1 scan over all those items.

To cut gems, you open your Skills interface and choose the Professions tab. Click on the Jewelcrafting icon and it will open another interface containing a list of the gems you can cut. Select one and click on the Create button. However as Jared says, you can't cut Nightstones until you've reached a skill level of 425.

The system is levelled - you won't find hugely difficult things you cannot beat. Except giants. Actions that level up skills: Attacking someone with a weapon Casting a spell on someone or something (things like Clairvoyance do nothing) Sneaking and not being seen in the presence of enemies Opening a lock - seems breaking a lockpick also gives skill xp Picking a pocket Buying or selling something. Successfully persuading/intimidating someone Training Some quest rewards (Finding Amren's family sword gives you +1h and +block) Creating a piece of armour or a weapon, or improving one Enchanting/disenchanting something Taking damage whilst wearing armour Making a potion or a poison The list isn't exhaustive, though.
