I have problems getting Edison achievement so is there any shiny diagrams like in What does the full research tree look like? for an expansion?

I believe there are no additional research items other than single MELD research and autopsies for Mechtoid and Seeker. But the results of the research are expanded and there are multiple new foundry items.

If you've seen an alien once, you will see them again, this applies to all enemies except for the final boss and Outsiders (of whom you only need to capture 2). Grounded UFOs will occasionally contain Commanders and always Ethereals, the 2 enemies that seem kind of one-offish. The frequency of earlier enemies spawning does seem to go down as you progress through the game, but if you try for a while you'll meet them again. Bonus: when you reach the final stage of the plot (but don't start it), you will be able to play pretty much forever, allowing you to complete all interrogations, research and foundry projects - no abductions to cause panic and no pressure to pursue the plot.

You would need to use the hideFlags nbt tag to hide the enchantments, then you can use a lore tag to show a dummy enchantment. The big benefit is that instead of weapon fragments, you can capture their weapons intact. Early in the game, when resources are scarce, this can give you an advantage - you don't have to spend money on advanced plasma weaponry, you can just steal the alien's weapons and use them against them. You can also "sell" the spares in certain cases, but only if the council requests them. Do note that you'll have to research the weapon before you can equip it. Having one to research can bypass part of the research requirements, but you'll still have to have researched certain prerequisites before you can research plasma weapons. For instance, you can research "Plasma Rifle" without researching "Light Plasma Rifle" if you have a Plasma Rifle weapon from a stunned enemy. In either case, you'll need to have researched "Weapon Fragments" though.

Psi XP is granted for the following activities: Resist Psi Attack - 10 Successful Mindfray - 20 Successful Mind Inspiration - 30 Assist Mind Inspiration - 30 Successful Psi Panic - 30 You need 50 psi xp to go from Psionic to Specialist, and 120 xp to go from Specialist to Operative.

This is a known (I hope!) bug at the time of writing. There's not much to do currently except wait for a patch. The bug is rare and seems to strike me randomly, and I have not been able to reproduce the error. The few times it's happened I've been forced to kill the process and load a save-game.

The stealth ability doesn't shut down at the end of your turn, but the end of the enemy's turn. This makes it extremely effective in several ways. Scouting I like to equip a support class with this armor. The movement bonus from the armor, along with the base +3 movement distance, means he can move an insane amount per turn at 0 risk at all. When you are cloaked, you will not trigger an AI reaction when exposing enemies, allowing you to get in 1 free shot while they are completely in the open. If you have snipers with squad sight (and especially if they have double tap), they can easily take out entire enemy groups before they have a chance to react at all. Aggressive Positioning Getting my heavies in position while they are stealthed means the next turn, when the stealth wears off, they are very close to the enemy and can double tap and/or start off the fight with a rocket. Assaults with shotguns also benefit greatly from being able to get in close to use rapid fire on a big enemy, taking it out in 1 turn. Missions You can safely deactivate bombs and rescue civilians while in complete stealth. Oh crap moments can be preserved if you know your unit is heavily overexposed, you can make them go stealth and survive the turn. Also its good for low health units to hide in stealth mode so they don't die. This is all in addition to the other stuff armor comes with: the grappling hook (allowing your units to gain high elevation and tactical advantage), improved defense, and extra movement speeds. Overall this is my favorite armor in the game.

It seems that the other clans only gain units every time one of them is defeated. So it helps to save some of the 'weaker' clans and take out the hard ones first.

Yes, it is possible to not turn in completed field research and obtain the stamp on different day. I tested this myself just a few days ago, knowing I would have not had the chance to complete a field request the next day. I had already received a stamp for that day, so I completed a field research but did not turn it in. The following day, I was able to redeem my reward and received the stamp. This is also confirmed on PokemonGoHub You can delay picking up rewards to get a future day stamp after midnight

The "highlights sensitive points" is just flavor text. The effect of the SCOPE upgrade is a 10% increase in the likelihood of critical hits. There is no change to weapon accuracy. This boost applies to ones you already own, as well as new ones you build. The XCOM Wikia says that this is bugged, but it appears to just be a bug in the display logic. According to their article, you won't see the 10% bonus unless you pull up the "additional info" screen.

You won't get the special armor from the pre order, but you if you don't feel like buying the DLC, you can add the following lines to the end of your XComGame.ini in C:\Users\\Documents\My Games\XCOM - Enemy Unknown\XComGame\Config. [XComStrategyGame.XGCustomizeUI] bArmorDecoAvailable=true bArmorTintAvailable=true This will allow you to get the color customizations without the extra armor.

When you press down the right stick to counter the attack, do you just press it, repeatedly press it, or press and hold? The counter knife is a quick time event. You need to press the button at the right time. Repeatedly pressing it should work too, as I have countered when panicking with a button spam. I don't believe there is a penalty for hitting the button too early, purely based on my experience with the game. You don't need to hold the button down. Possibly out of habit you may hold it down during the animation, but it is not needed. I've been knifed a few times from the front and each time I try to counter I fail. The window is small. If you fail it is most likely because the timing was off. Sometimes you may be victim to some lag, which falls into the category of "how did I die if I shot you first?". There really isn't much you can do about this other than playing on servers local to your region. As you have mentioned, you need to see the attacker. You cannot counter a knife attack when it comes from behind. You should see the prompt on screen to counter the knife. Perhaps your thumb stick is damaged (slightly) meaning you need to be a little more forceful with the press. I have had this occur on controllers in the past. It isn't uncommon to have a string of failed counters. Once you get used to the mechanic you should see more success. From my experience, a lot of knife attacks are actually surprise attacks (coming from the side or behind). I only started becoming more successful at countering when I stopped panicking. As soon as I seen the knife animation start or someone lung at me from the side I would instinctively hit the counter button. There are plenty of youtube video guides on countering. I didn't find any useful other than understanding that you cannot counter attacks from behind. Also, if you believe you are about to be knifed and hold down the right stick until you are knifed, will that counter an attack, or do you have to press it down just at the right time? Yes, you need to press it at the right time. You can't hold the button down beforehand. The button press must be done within the specific time frame. @CommandoAir added a useful comment as follows: It's also important to note that counter-knifing is very bugged. It rarely actually works and you rarely get the on-screen prompt. I don't know if it's down to lag or something, but unless they are directly in front of you the game seems to count it as a knife from behind. As you can see, the mechanic does cause problems for other players, so much so that it is described as bugged or broken.

Sigh. I did a bunch of further research and found this bug report: "Can't attack Yuan Shao's settlements [Updated - Bug can be recreated]" When you're fighting an alliance and it dissolves because a faction was eliminated, the game may mess up your war status with the remaining members. This has been suggested as a temporary workaround: For whatever reason this bug is flipping your war status. If you make peace with any faction you are having this bug with you will then be able to attack them. It won't tell you to declare war, it won't show you're at war on the diplomacy screen, their color will remain grey on the map for the rest of the game, and you also won't be able to call any allies or vassals to arms against them.

Yes, they can and will still continue to target/fire. Be alert when moving through the smoke, as enemies will continue to fire through it, and the positions and numbers of enemies on the other side can change dramatically. http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Centurion I do not have any specific details on if it affects their aim, but I doubt it does.
