What does it mean when the borderlands symbol flashes on my screen?

Occasionally when playing, I see the symbol below appear. It usually flashes for a moment and then disappears.

What does it mean?

It's the autosave icon; it indicates your game has been saved. There's a screen that explains that either when the game starts up or as one of the Loading Screen tips.

Try changing the channel. Get a new HDMI cord and go to a new HDMI channel. Or just get a new Xbox? I suggest starting with a new HDMI cord.

After doing some testing, I've found that jumping does not allow you to cover ground faster than sprinting. To test this, I created two videos of the same character moving across a relatively level area just outside of Sanctuary - first by only sprinting and second by jumping repeatedly while sprinting. I started by backing my character against the save point near the Sanctuary entrance and pointing him toward the center of a large boulder in the distance. I then recorded 30 seconds of jumping/sprinting in a straight line (after having a few takes interrupted by Rakks, Bullymongs and bandits). Incidentally, the reason that the videos are that length is that I have the trial version of Fraps, which stops recording after exactly 30 seconds. I then uploaded the videos to Youtube and used Youtubedoubler to compare the two. You can see that at the end of each video I'm at almost exactly the same place (right in front of some bullet holes and dead Bullymongs). The jumping looks like it's very slightly ahead, but I think that is due to the fact that I started moving a bit sooner in that video. Based on a post on the official game forums that text is a fail-safe message that was added in version 1.1. Basically, the general idea is that due to either lag or button mashing it is sometime possible to interact multiple times with an item that you should be able to interact with only once: a common example is picking up an item by mashing the pick-up button. At that point the client triggers multiple "pick-up item" messages to the server...but since the server obviously knows that you can "pick-up" the item only once, the other attempts receive the aforementioned error message. Note that apparently this was a thing in previous versions too - you were never able to trick the game and pick up an item multiple times, simply previously the error was silently ignored with no feedback: all that v. 1.1 changed was adding a specific message for the user.

As mentioned in the comments, I believe that it's pretty difficult to get a Game Over screen during combat, unless you are just out of Phoenix Downs. There were only one or two times during my playthrough of FFXV where I ever thought I was going to get a Game Over (thanks to Galvanades here, as well), but I didn't. Noctis was allowed to use a Phoenix Down on himself with no HP and a depleted maximum HP bar. I believe that unless you fail to use a Phoenix Down within a specific timeframe after losing all maximum health, you will not get a Game Over screen. According to the wiki page on status conditions, you only have a few seconds to do this: If a party member's max HP falls to 0 they are Down. If Noctis gets Downed it spells a Game Over unless he is revived within a few seconds. Downed party members can be saved with Phoenix Downs. Additionally, if you are playing on Easy mode, it's even harder to get a Game Over screen during combat, as Carbuncle will show up once per combat to prevent what would otherwise be a Game Over. In Easy Mode Carbuncle appears when the player enters critical condition to heal Noctis, and can appear in both dungeons and the open world. He can appear once per battle. He can also randomly appear in the background of photos taken by Prompto. However, there are a few other ways to get Game Over screens. From experience, the most common way (after beating the game) to get a Game Over is to fail to land the Regalia Type-F properly, as failing to land gracefully almost always ends in a Game Over screen. Another way, mentioned here is to fail to follow Ardyn closely enough when he is leading you in his car. There’s a part in Final Fantasy XV where you have to follow Ardyn in your car, the Regalia. It’s meant to be a simple part of the game, and if you somehow fall behind, Ardin will slow down, so there’s no way you can lose him. However, some players have experienced a glitch in which Ardin will just shoot off at full speed and they lose him and get a Game Over. Unfortunately, there’s no known solution to this bug yet. Hopefully, it will be fixed in the future. I didn't personally encounter this, but it sounds pretty funny, aside from the whole making you hit a Game Over, and all.

1) From what I know the proficiency you gain is dependent on the XP you receive from the kill. If you damage an enemy with a weapon and the enemy dies you get proficiency even if something else kills it eventually. You might get more though if your weapon does the kill. So, no fixed number of kills for a level up. 2) The character tab lists your proficiencies along with your current health/shield/level/xp. 3) In the character tab the proficiencies have bars similar to your xp bar. When it's full you get another proficiency level. You don't get to see exact numbers though. 4) All proficiencies improve damage. The rest of the bonuses - I think - vary. Generally the make you also shoot faster and more accurate but for example in case of the Eridan weapons you don't get an improvement in firerate but instead an improvement in recharge rate. You can review the exact bonus by hovering your pointer over the bar. On the PC for near empty bars you have to click it to see the bonus.

Kill flesh stick again and again in the Tina special guest quest. best if your coop partner stays by her and keeps beginning the mission while you are where he spawns waiting for him with a shotgun or else. at lvl 14 its 1800exp every time. i leveled to 20 in 5 minutes. Note: If you restart the quest too quickly fleshstick will stop spawning and you will have to reload the area. To avoid this, wait until Tiny Tina finishes her line ending with "my abode". If you mess up, first she won't speak her next line. If this happens, wait a minute or two (to let Tina finish the sentence, even though you can't hear it) and start the mission once more, Tina should talk again.

One way to take screenshots is to add the League of Legends client as a non-steam game to Steam. Then you are able to use whatever key you have set up in steam to take screenshots, and you can upload them to your steam profile. Open your steam client and click add game Browse to the folder where League is installed Select the League of Legends Launcher Open League through your Steam library You should see Steam when the launcher comes up Now whenever you press the key you have assigned in Steam to take screenshots you will here the camera sound steam plays. After playing you can view your screenshot library for the screenshots you have taken.

I ran all the way back across the river, where there's a place you can climb up a ladder to a weapons chest. While I was standing there, the thresher just stayed in the doorway. I used a shock weapon to take its shield off quickly and then fire weapon to kill it. Pretty easy once I did this.

A

From your comments that you may have switched heroes during your games, it appears to be a percentage of each game played * 1 per each win. So if you won four games where you played D.Va for 75% of each of the games and Mei for 25%, you would have the D.Va bar show 4*0.75 = 3 wins and Mei would show 4*0.25 = 1 win. These bars obviously wouldn't show up as whole numbers most of the time if you switch heroes often during games as it is unlikely that you would end up with exact amounts of whole games played. It seems to round numbers to the nearest whole, so each of those games that you won that you played the character for less than 50% of the time slightly fills up the bar but is labelled as "0 wins."

Saturn's guns are destructible, which means that you can reduce the amount of firepower being thrown at you. They can also be used to trigger Second Wind. It's resistant to Explosions and to Slag (but can be affected by the Slag De-buff that amplifies other kinds of damage). It has no weak points. Finally, using cover is a great way to survive this encounter as Saturn can't realistically hit you through walls or other types of barriers (thus allowing you to survive for longer). This encounter is all about minimizing the damage you receive while dishing out your own damage. Avoid using explosive rounds and keep your shield up at all times. If it shoots rockets, take a moment to see where they're heading, clear out of that area and you have a few seconds to dish out damage without an issue. Finally, don't forget to use your Character's Ability. Keep your eyes open for the possible spawn of a Pup-Skag, as killing this creature may also be used to gain Second Wind.

It's a "critical hit chance" for opening chests. There's a small chance that a single set of 3 Key blocks can "lockpick" and open more than 1 lock on a chest (or the entire chest, I haven't really tested it). A successful lockpick will produce a "lockpick" message

There are 2 normal slaughter arenas in the game (bandits & Hyperion robots) and 2 DLC arenas (wildlife, and fantasy). The first one, the bandit slaughter arena, is accessed from the Fridge (which you'll be heading to very soon), just inside on the left. The Hyperion slaughter arena is in the Ore Chasm, which is reached from the Eridium Blight (one of the last areas you'll go to). If you have the DLC for the Creature Slaughter Dome, that's in the Natural Selection Annex which is accessed from the Wildlife Exploitation Preserve. There is also a Fantasy-themed Slaughter Dome in the fourth campaign DLC, Tiny Tina's Assault of Dragon Keep, in the Murderlin's Temple area.

Go to the place where the boss bloodwing was in the mission wildlife exploitation reserve and it will spawn The Mother Rakk, it's a giant rakk. it's not very hard to kill. Can drop rare loot, but no idea if it drops any legendary though. There is Savage Lee which you can find in three horns Divide living among bullymongs and he has a chance to drop that Unkempt Harold, which is by many players considered to be the best pistol in the game. There is Scorch in Frostburn Canyon, could drop Hellfire legendary SMG. There are loot midjets that can be found in many maps through the game, but if you don't finish the mission Doctor's Orders there will always be 2 loot midjets and 2 loot midjet robots in the 4 small boxes in wildlife exploitation where they run experiments on skags. They can drop many legendaries. These aren't really rare but they are hard to find. Except for Scorch a side quest leads you to him. Good luck

Thank, you Sinatr, for your comments on my other question, Does the Steam version not come with the Day One Patch? For at least the PreSequel, the only reason having the save in that spot didn't work, was because I already booted up the game once. That created a profile.bin, inside the savegames folder, storing the Loyalty and Badass Info. Once I removed it, booted up again, and made a new character, I got both Loyalty Guns, 30 Moonstones, and 500 Badass Points. Although, the messages seem to have a typo, saying I only got 1 gun. Ah well. Just making this answer so people have one. I'd happily upvote and green check an answer by Sinatr, if they made one...

In case this is just a quick fix and I am understanding you correctly, you will need to actually download the DLC separately. The season pass just lets you download the DLC for "free" (for lack of a better word). If it's a problem beyond this, I would verify that the DLC is actually downloaded. From the Settings tab go System > Storage > Hard Drive > Games and Apps > Borderlands 2. From there you can see what is actually downloaded for Borderlands 2. To play the DLC, each individual piece of content that you wish to play will need to be downloaded. Each one will be titled accordingly. If you don't see the DLC you want to play on that list, you will need to load up Borderlands 2 and go to the store and download them from there. If the DLC is listed as being on your Hard Drive and the game still won't let you access it (through the Fast Travel Station), then the only thing I can recommend is removing it from your Hard Drive and re-installing it. Hope this helps - no one should be denied their Borderlands!
