It is my understanding that the only limits are that of the hardware and connection you use to run it on. You choose any max-es you want to allow. I guess you could say it's unlimited, but your hardware and, more likely, your internet connection determines how many people you can have on at any one time.

I've had this problem in OW on and off forever. Here's what I do which normally fixes it: In game, go into settings, and toggle Team Voice Chat off and on Unplug and replug the microphone repeat, with different combinations of having your mic plugged/unplugged with Team Voice chat toggled on/off. It's really ridiculous that this problem has existed since the game came out and voice chat still doesn't work reliably.

I can confirm that voice chat is only for parties, so you will only get voice chat with people you decide to join a party with.

Ok, I Found an option in the Gameplay Options that allows text chat to be disabled. I'll post a seperate question about the voice chat.

Try these steps this should let you balance the game and chat audio I had to do something similar with a pair of hypercloud headphones Go into your settings menu Then Devices Audio devices For the input and output devices select the wired headset Go back to audio devices and select the "output to headphones" option Make sure that option is set to "All Audio" Go into your active game. You cannot adjust the correct settings from the settings menu. Hold down the PS button on your controller until the options menu appears. At the top of the options menu you should see an icon for the program you are running and a volume bar. Click that option You should see a menu that allows you to adjust the game volume as well as chat volume. Simply adjust the game/chat balance per your preference.

As of the latest Dead Island patch, there is now a way to disable voice chat in the options:

You can use any at all, like literally just plug in your earphones and it will work. As long as the device has a proper audio jack it should fit and output sound through it. Plugging earphones/headphones will let sound play through your TV/Moniter and the sound device you plugged in meaning that you don't need to mute people in online games just plug in your earphones and keep them outside of your ears, as VOIP defaults to headset's.

Have you tested to see if this happens on other systems for you? Say a desktop and a laptop connected to the same ISP connection at home. Most often when I have guild-mates or party members complain about audio issues it is due to their personal user settings. Make sure that voice-chat is turned on even if you have no microphone, if you use a headset sometimes, and speakers other times, especially if the headset is USB or wireless, you will have to go in to your audio configurations and confirm that the game is looking for the correct device. If these suggestions do not easily help you, please let me know, I'll work up an audio configuration tutorial page on DDOwiki to help you. (I should make one anyways, but this may bump up it's priority ;-))

Since you said nothing about it, first check Audio devices. Right click you Volume icon (looks like Dynamic) in system tray -> Playback Devices Here you will see what device is currently used by default. Steam obeys these settings. If you have more than one active device, Headphones should be "Set as Default Communication Device". Then right click on Headphones and "Test".

There is no possibility to mute a specific player. You will have to turn voice off altogether

The correct server cvar is sv_voiceenable. If you set that to 0, it will be disabled server-wide. You shouldn't confuse this with voice_enable, which is the client command to disable voice chat so that they can't hear it.

Probably at least about 1MBps download and 512KBps upload. But if you are hosting the game i recommend that you have at least 2MBps download and 1MBps upload, in case many people join and lag your whole network.

Are you certain that no one in the party is hearing the microphone input? I ask this because party chat purposely does not allow microphone communication between two players who are playing locally together. This is to prevent an annoying feedback loop. When my wife and I are both in a party together with two profiles and two controller/headset combos, all of the non-local party members hear us both fine, but we cannot hear each other. I imagine that this set-up could negatively affect how the microphones pick up chat for Twitch.

Assuming you are using Windows: Open the volume mixer by clicking the speaker icon in the taskbar and click "Mixer". This will let you change the volume of each application

I found that there is no way to do this in-game for the gamepad. For en-us keyboard the N key will activate push-to-talk by default. However, various utils (depending on your gamepad) can be used to map one of the gamepad buttons to the push-to-talk button (N key). Since this game makes good use of all gamepad buttons, remapping one of the gamepad buttons for push-to-talk is unreasonable to do, and therefore the best option when doing voice chat with GTAV:PC is to use voice-activated+mute. DISCLAIMER Yes, I know that this is the norm for console gamers, but us oldskool PC gamers are used to push-to-talk. It is especially handy for those of us with large/busy households, or who are gaming in public / cafes / etc which is the great thing about PC games: you can play them on a laptop!

Muting someone will block their chat wheel messages but won't block their pings. Which mean theorically they could spam ping and you couldn't do much about it, though, for now at least, most people still use the ping to draw attention more than being a nuisance.

Twitch and YouTube uploading of game DVR is built in to the Xbox One. An Xbox One Stereo headset connector will cost around $30AU, and you can plug the headset/sound into the capture card using an RCA to 3.5mm converter and a headphone splitter(both cost around $5-10 in any discount store.

It is possible to use voice chat on XBOX 360. But you can't use it as a telephone device. Note* It only works when communicating with another XBOX 360. You can't even chat with an XBOX one as you can see here, and in the comment of claus. Plug the headset in your controller and create a party on Xbox live to voice chat with your friends.

This is handled on a per-game basis. For an example, off the top of my head, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate supports Voice Chat -- and the Gamepad itself includes a Mic, so you don't need to spend the extra cash, though the quality is nothing like a dedicated headset.

The FAQ seems to imply TS3 supports Text to Speech natively (and tells you how to set the soundpack for it). I've never used it myself but a variety of results from a Google search seems to prove that it works.
