Class-7 – Available at the end of day 12 at the earliest. Class-6 – Available at the end of day 17 at the earliest, if already living in a class-7 apartment. Class-5 – Available at the end of day 22 at the earliest, if already living in a class-6 apartment. Also, according to this Papers, Please Wiki discussion thread there might be faster ways, but for now, this is the earliest proved.

First of all, it is entirely possible to play the game without making any mistakes. See this video (I didn't watch it, but it claims to be a perfect playthrough). As Matthias noted in a comment, you are not expected to be able to always play from the latest day and get further. There are some situations where because of a past action, you will be arrested, or your family will die, or some other ending. You are encouraged to continue from a previous day or begin a new game and attempt to reach a different ending.

First, if you accept the 1000 dollar EZIC gift, you will be found out 100% of the time... The only tactic to support your family is to get really good at examining the people quickly. For every successful entrant/reject, you get $5. There are 31 official days and then there is a "performance review" on day 32. The game ends after that, but you can continue in endless mode.

Primarily you should be looking for a variance between the weight shown on the scales when a prospective entrant steps into your booth, and the weight listed on the entrant's ID supplement, Access Permit, Identity Card or Grant of Asylum. If the listed weight differs from the actual weight of the entrant, you can raise this as a discrepancy, and the resulting interview will provide you with the opportunity to scan the entrant with your X-ray. You want to streamline your work by looking for the most common fakeries first. As a definitive statistic breakdown on errors doesn't exist, I've ordered the list according to my opinion in the most common discrepancies: Missing documents: passport (Inspect mode), entry ticket, entry permit... Wanted criminal list and photo matchup Expiration dates Passport number matchups Name matchups Issuing city validity and stamps (1) Spoken reason vs entry permit purpose and duration (2) Sex, description Height and weight (3) Notes: (1) Late game, having a color cheat-sheet from the wiki is pretty imperative for doing well. You need to confiscate Obristan passports from people that come through your booth, the same way that you would confiscate ones for citizens. This is obviously against the rules and you will be fined every time you do it, but there is no other way to collect the passports you need.

Fastest way is to not pay for food, heat or medicine (but pay the rent!). You yourself won't be affected, but your family will.

No. The EZIC money you receive on day 11 or 12 will always be confiscated, together with any other savings you have. Your neighbour always "reports you for your wealth", even if you have done nothing to appear wealthy. Allowing an EZIC agent (Stepheni Graire) to enter the country will prevent you being arrested for receiving the money, but it will not allow you to get the money back. If you burn the money, you will get to keep your other savings.

Spoilers below, beware. You get two pieces of paper, one with lots of symbols and another one with holes. Match the holes using the squares on top of the letter paper to get 2 names of people to let through. By letting at least one through, you get a gift from the Order. Taking the gift will cause the ministry of economy to start investigating you. You are given a poison and some instructions by a member of the Order. You can then kill the person they want you to kill. This will also kill one of the guards.

From my experience, when there's an option for a fingerprint check you give one sheet to the person and another one is printed for you. If height/weight didn't match, it's enough for prints to match and name on the printed sheet should match the one in the papers. If names don't match, then prints must match and there should be a second name in the "alias" section of the printed paper. By the way, appearance of the printed paper with correct name does not mean that fingerprints match. You need to get the sheet from the person and visually compare it to the printed one.
